Chapter 2

"Please I just want to talk." You said as you gulp down a pill of guilt.

The grey mare nods as she looks at you in the eyes. "Okay, *sniff* Dinky can you please leave mommy for a moment? We are going to talk." The filly unicorn nods as she slowly creaks the door closed and walked down the stairs.

You let out a heavy sigh as you began to open your mouth. "Look, I am very sorry for my behavior on you. I shouldn't have yelled at you for doing your job, it's just that I hate getting junk mail and I just wanted my bit check."

"It's *sniff* It's okay." She said as she began to crack open a small grin.

"No it's not okay, I yelled at an innocent mare, it was you and I cannot forgive myself. So in apology I will assist you in any of your needs." You proclaim as you salute towards the mailmare.

"No you don't have to-"

"No, I have to, I highly insist that I become your butler, or servant, or whatever you want to call me." You intercept as you continue to salute towards the mare. "Please"

"O-*sniff* okay, you can be my servant... I guess."

"Good, now what do you need first?" You asked as you stood straight in front of the mare.

"First, can you please not be like a military trainee, it's kinda goofy." She confesses as you break your stance causing the mailmare to giggle at your embarrassment. "Also, are you good at math?"

"Yea, I'm alright, I was great at trigonometry so I'm pretty good at math."

"Okay, then can you help Dinky with her math homework? She's always having difficulties and I don't know everything, plus I need to pick something up from the market." She instructs as she stood from her bed.

You nod at the mare and walk downstairs, as you reach the first floor you find the unicorn filly weighting her head on her hands as she struggled at her math homework. You sat down next to the student as she turned to your face and smiled. "Hello, are you going to help me in my math homework?"

"Yep, now what subject of math are you working on?"

"Geometry, Mr. Kyle introduced us on how to find the circumference in a circle."

"Really? That is easy, do you have a calculator on you?"

Derpy has left to attend to her business as she left you and the filly alone as you helped her in her homework. "And that is how you find the circumference of a circle, just take pi, mulitply it by two, and then by the radius and then BAM, ya got it. You can also take the diameter and times it by pi as well, so there you go." You finish explaining as the unicorn student rights down the notes you have briefed her on.

"So if the radius of this circle is 9.3 and I times it by two and pi, wouldn't I get," She pauses as she types the equation in her calculator. "58.4?"

"Yep, good job. Now, lets see if you can do the rest of these problems by yourself, when your done or need help, don't be afraid to tell me I'm always here to help." The student nodded as she worked on the rest of her home work. You sat down on the couch and picked up a nearby magazine, you begin to read as the sun slowly ticked by.

After about ten minutes the unicorn filly taps you on the legs as she hands you her homework, you take the paper and closely examine it. Your eyes widened at the amount of success she had put into this work, even the extra credit problem that was optional. "Wow, I'm very impressed, I didn't even help you with this problem." You state as your pointed at the extra credit.

"Wow thanks, other ponies say that I am really smart, but I don't really think about that, I'm just a regular filly who-"

"No, your're an extraordinary student, if I was a teacher I would send you straight to Canterlot's school for special unicorns." You compliment as you point randomly towards the ceiling.

"Uhhh..... what are you pointing at?"

"I don't know!!!" You shout as you and the filly both give a hearty laugh. "Alright now, is there anything else you need help with?"

"Unnn no that that I think of, I am kinda hungry though." She states as she creates a puppy dog face and stares straight at you in the eyes.

UGH! They should make a law against that. You drop your head down low with a smile as you let out a cheery sigh. "Alright, so what do you want to eat?"

"Can I have Mc. Trotnolds?"

"Sure, now we can't leave you here alone, cmon let's go eat there."

"Okay!" She said in a beaming tone as she holds your hand and pulls you outside. She drags you all the way towards the fast food restaurant known as Mc. Trotnolds, the two of you stood at the counter as the filly points towards the menu.

"Okay soo..... Can I have a Hayngus Mushroom Swiss meal and a cucumber nugget kid's meal for here please?" You ask the cashier mare.

"Sure that'll be 13 bits please." You nod as you pull out your pouch and pour out the exact amount of bits, the cashier takes the bits and pulls out the receipt. "Thank you, now can we please have your name so that we can call you when your order is ready?" You offer your name as the cashier mare writes it down on the receipt. "Thank you, we will call you when your order is ready." You nod in thanks at the mare as she takes out two soda cups, you and Dinky both take the soda cups and fill them with drinks of fiz. The cashier calls out your name as you take the tray of food and bring it towards a nearby table where you and the filly sit, eat, and chat.

"So uh... What happened at school today Dinky?"

"Well, we just got a new teacher, it's the human." she exclaims as she chomped down a whole cucumber nugget. "And he is super cool, that he let us play longer at recess." She states as she created a beaming smile on her face.

"Cool, now that that human a job, he will fit in just perfectly in this world."

"Yuph he iph phll rhha," she pauses as she gulps down the chunk full of nuggets in her mouth. "I mean, he will fit right in."

"Good, now let's finish and get you home before your mother knocks me upside the head." The filly nods as you two finish your meals and walk back to Dinky's home, as you reach the house you look around to see that the lights were still off and no pegasus mailmare was in sight. "Alright she isn't home, now let's get you inside." You approach the door and place your hand on the knob, you turn it to feel a disturbing presence...it's locked. CRAP!!! You turn to the filly with bullets sliding down your head. "Uhh... Dinky do you have a house key?"

"N....No...why?" She asks in a nervous tone as she gulps down water of fear.

"We're locked out." You confess as the little pony ran around in circles panicking.

"Ahhhhh! Watawedo!?!? watawedo!?!? watawedo!?!? watawedooooooooo!?!?!?" You grab hold of the filly breaking her speed as he look her in the eyes.

"Calm down, I have an Idea." You let go of the filly as you pull out a lockpick from your pocket and stick both needles into the door knob. "Don't tell your mother I did this." You start to fondle with the locks until you felt the noor being unlocked, you place the picks back in your pocket and open the door.

"Wow how'd you learned that?"

"Well, I would sometimes loose my key and so I use this in case of emergencies. Now let's get inside."

The two of you walk inside as the filly rushed towards the nearest room. Must be the bathroom. You thought as you sat down on the couch and grab the nearest book, Daring Do and the Griffon's Goblet. "Hmmm, well why not." You shrug as you open the book and read, you hear the local flush from the bathroom as Dinky happily skips out of the bathroom. "So, watchu gonna do now?"

"I'm going to go take a nap." She announced as she walks upstairs, you shrug and continue to read the book.

Hours had passed and Derpy still wasn't home, as you continued to read you finished the conclusion. "So that's why the griffon was possessed by the goblet's power." You spoil out loud as a knocking came from the door. You open the door in surprise to find Derpy outside, this is her house....isn't it? "D-Derpy? Why are you knocking at your own house? I thought you had a house key."

"Well that's the thing... I uh..... kinda lost it." She confesses with a sheepish grin.

"Well what are you waiting for, get in or you'll catch a cold. Dinky's asleep and I was just waiting till you got home so that I could go home."

"Oh okay, you can go home now I have nothing else you need to do."

"Alright," You walked pass the mailmare, you stop and turn to see her still watching you with a raised eyebrow as she averted her left hey away from your face. "by the way I already fed Dinky, got her Mc. Trotnolds, nothing big just a kids meal just so you know."

"Oh thanks you, you didn't have to buy her lunch."

"Well I Didn't know what to feed her, so I went to the next best thing. Fast Food."

"Well thank you, now would you like to stay for the night?" She offers as a small rose appears on her cheeks.

"Sorry I can't I gotta get home now." The mare nods as you walk down the nightly streets of Ponyville. You walk around finding every lantern light as you twist the diode and ignite the flames shining the spark of warmth. As you finish igniting the lanterns you take a quick glimpse at your clock. It was midnight, so that meant only one thing. Bed Time.

You arrive home but you find your mailbox fill with mail, that's odd it's never that full. You open the small door to find bills and your much needed bit checks. But while assorting your mail, you come across a mysterious vague light blue letter, you open it to find a strange message.

What is this? How does this pony know about your job? And why bring butter? You bring your mail inside as you place the blue letter on the coffee table and walk upstairs. As you lied down on your bed, things raced in your mind like the running of the leaves competition. You slowly close your eyes as you drift off to sleep.
