//------------------------------// // chapter 12 // Story: Discorded Humanity // by The Drifting Bard //------------------------------// There was a long period of time during which nothing much happened. it had been two months. i hadnt spoken to anypony for two months. i had arrived at my home, a small village outside of a small town outside a big city. the relaxing aroma of pinewood floated through the air. as i took a walk through the forest. my family would always ask why, i would give them an answer of "because i feel better when im there" my time in Equestria, although brought to a painful stop, had changed me. i was more enviromental. the people i knew in the city took note of this, as i joined a protest group. i popped up at most enviromental protests. when the riots began, i simply snuck away. the world had become, for lack of a better word, chaotic. i had been gone from the world for two weeks, the only person i told this to were the closest human friends i had. "so, you were in equestria for two weeks?" "4 months actually" i sighed, they could clearly see i wanted to be back there. my phone alarm went off, reminding me to leave the area. "Got to go, meeting with the group" as i got up to leave, the voice i heard on that fateful day made itself known. "you are needed" i ran through the city and jumped on my harley. the voice was drowned out by the sounds of the roaring engine. the cutie mark of the sword and sheild were still there. i had the design copied to the helmet. as i sped along the motorway, i felt relaxed. all i wanted was to go home, and today i would get that chance. i arrived at my destination, the forest i felt at home in. i jumped off the bike. "you are needed, you must prepare" the voice repeated "prepare for what?" i asked. i stepped through the portal, shielding my eyes from the light. i was finally home.
