Hooves trailed along, following each other. FeatherTune hovered with his wings fluttering. His guitar was placed around his back on a black strap. He put his hooves down.
"Are we coming back to the base after we talk to those ponies?" He asked CharmingRhythm 
Rhythm turned his head. "Well, we need to come back to get somethings, but after we talk to the camp and you want to get a head-start, go right away." 
FeatherTune nodded, then lifted back up. They looked over at the camp, ThunderCharm stood by the door. As soon as she caught sight of them, her wings flapped open with excitement. 
"Hey Guys!" She called out. "It's been a while since we talked." 
ChamingRhythm stepped forward. "Yeah... Well we found a train the other day-"
"I did!" Hyper blurted out.
"And, we were thinking of charging it up and going down to the city." Rhythm finished.
"Oh wow, cool!" ThunderCharm replied. "You know, DawnShy goes there a lot!"
"Yes, that's why we came here. We were wondering if she could help us...." Rhythm paused, the pegasus had eyes filled with admiration. "Um... would you like to help too?"
"Oh yes!" She exclaimed. "Hey DawnShy!" She shouted.
The green pegasus came out of the door, and she saw the ponies also. 
"These guys might be going to the city and they want some help." ThunderCharm said.
"Awesome!" DawnShy spoke.
A few of the ponies came forward, SpinningNote just stared at the mares. HeartFelt shuffled her hooves.
"Are these ponies you're friends?" She asked.
CharmingRhythm stopped for a moment. "Yeah, I guess. We have sorta begun a friendship. They are both really big fans of Linkin Pony." He said.
ThunderCharm came up to the green unicorn. "Hi... um... you are... HeartFelt, right?"
"Ye-yeah." She stumbled. "How did you know?"
"Well uh..." ThunderCharm put her head low with embarrassment. "You know, before the change; Internet things. I searched up a lot. Just simple information!" She then said quickly. "Nothing bad, I just wanted to know names."
"So when are we going?" SpinningNote said.
"Whenever we are ready." CharmingRhythm retorted. "If you guys want to bring anything, you better go know." 
"Okay!" ThunderCharm jumped, and went through the door.


The ponies had clopped and flew over to where the train was. EchoBeat used his energy detector to find a good energy spot they could use for the locomotive. HyperBlitz went through the train to see what was in it. Nothing much but dust. The engine was rusty, but durable. 
CharmingRhythm put some cords through the train, the generator sat inside. Somehow they would need to get the energy in, through the wires, then the generator, then the engine. Hopefully it was something they could manage.
"I think I found something!" EchoBeat called out. 
SpinningNote leaped over to him, they were about 40 yards out. A part of the land swooped down in a ravine. Spinning looked at the detector, the buttons flickered like mad.
"Okay, we need to collect it!" He said.
BlazingFlair came forward, he wore a metal hoof cover. "Let me try."
The orange pony placed his hoof down on the ground. He lifted it up and slammed it down with force. Blazing repeated this for a while. EchoBeat jolted his head every time he slammed into the ground. Suddenly, something appeared, the ground seemed to glow. The pure energy had broken through. BlazingFlair stopped, he didn't want to go further and risk anything. 
Then SpinningNote's magic brought a wire down by the blue aura. There was an magnet at the end, something very conductive to energy. Suddenly, what looked like a mist, flowed up, and onto the magnet. This then went through the wire, and soon to the generator.
In the train, CharmingRhythm had put as many cords onto the train's engine as he could. Many different sizes and different connectors, some only clamped on like a jumper-cable. He heard a noise from the generator. The energy had reached it. Rhythm tapped a button on it, and a buzzing noise arose. The energy then went to the other cords. 
HyperBlitz stood stiff, waiting to see the results. There was blue sparks flying from the ends of the cables. CharmingRhythm pulled hard on some of the train's control levers. The engine gave off a whirring sound. A faint halo of blue circled the engine, and the parts inside began to move. HyperBltiz jumped with excitement, it had worked.
"We got it!" He shouted out the train door. 
They waited a little bit for some more energy to transfer to the generator, it could be held in there.  The ponies circled around the locomotive's entrance. SpinningNote helped EchoBeat bring his machine. Each pony got on. It seemed odd to get on a train, but they still knew they need to try many things.
The only two that stood outside were DawnShy and ThunderCharm. The pegasi both stared.
"Are... are we coming?" DawnShy asked.
CharmingRhythm glanced at them and waved his hoof. "Of course!"
The two mares' faces light up with giant smiles. Their feathers spread out with joy. They both climbed on, and shut the squeaky door behind them.
"Okay, driving a train can't be that hard." BlazingFlair said. 
"It stays on the tracks the who time right?" SpinningNote told him with sarcasm.
The pure energy was their fuel, as long as they had enough, they would be fine. Traveling to the city wouldn't take much time, but the tracks were rusty, and they needed to go slow. They set the time to be about an hour.
