The Luna Diaries

Entry 21

Dear Diary,

It is day two of my forced exile to my bedroom. I’m still feeling incredibly weak, which makes me happy that my diary is voice activated.

I couldn’t sleep a single wink last night because I kept having long coughing fits. Heartstrings was nice enough to stay with me and keep me company, at least to some degree. She had to go and check on other things every now and then, as well as going out to get me food; even if I could barely eat. I’ve already gone through most of the adventure books that Swift gave me, but I really can’t be bothered to read the ones for school, hence the reason for this update.

So BORED!

Some mail came for me today, the first mail I’d received in a very long time. It was a letter from Aurora and included the tickets for the play that her parents are in, as well as a get well soon card. I’m not entirely certain how the mail got here, since Moonfire’s address is obviously not the royal palace. I’m going to have to come up with some sort of backstory for Moonfire. Whenever somepony asks questions about me I end up having to change the subject and I know for a fact that it irritates my friends.
How about… Moonfire and her mother moved from Trottingham and..

No, that won’t work. I don’t have a Trottingham accent. I might be able to make them think that I’m from Las Pegasus, but then my ‘mother’ is a unicorn so that wouldn’t make sense.

Ah! Moonfire and her mother moved from Ponyville because her mother got a job at a local law firm. (Will have to run that by Tia.)

I mean we will have to find some way of proving my story in case I ever have to go back to Ponyville with anypony for whatever reason. Heartstrings liked it, but thinks she can do better. Apparently one of her cousins is a writer by the name of Quill Scratch and she’s going to ask him to write me a backstory under the premise of it being for a story she wants to write.
I said yes, but secretly, I was very pleased with my effort. I’m going to continue writing it anyway, even if it doesn’t get used. I may even just write a story in spite of this ‘Quill Scratch.’

Or maybe not. I think I may be a little delirious.
