Pinkie Pie the Hero Chapter 3

Pinkie opened her eyes and looked around the dim cave she found herself in. Water was dripping from the walls and there was a musty smell hanging in the air.

“Pinkie? Pinkie?” Apple Bloom called. Pinkie couldn’t move. Her legs were numb from being asleep for as long as she was.

“There you are!” the yellow filly cried. The crusaders ran towards the mare and tackled her in a tight hug. Pinkie attempted to stand again, but with no luck. The fillies had to help her.

“What’s wrong, Pinkie?” Scootaloo asked after the mare was to her feet. Pinkie explained briefly the cause of her numbness. The fillies nodded their heads, tossing the matter aside.

“Where are we supposed to go?” Sweetie Belle inquired worriedly. “Where are we?”

“I have no idea,” Pinkie sighed. “Considering Chrysalis’s abilities, we could be anywhere.” Pinkie kicked a rock in her distress, and it hit the wall in front of her. The wall shattered into thousands of fragments, making an audible crashing noise. Pinkie’s eyes widened in surprise.

“RAINBOW DASH!” Scootaloo cried. She sprinted towards Rainbow, squeezing her like there was no tomorrow. Pinkie smiled and trotted towards the blue pony.

“Where are the others?” she asked, deciding to immediately get to the point. She was hoping that they were somewhere close by. Dash just shrugged.

“I have no idea. I made it farther than they did. We split up after escaping,” she informed. The others nodded solemnly. “We should probably get out of here. I think I know the way.”

Everypony followed her through the dim tunnels of the large cavern. Finally they arrived to an opening high up on the wall.

“How are we supposed to get up there?” Sweetie Belle frowned. “We can’t fly.” Rainbow bit her lip in thought.

“I could fly you guys up,” she offered. The other ponies seemed a bit wary, but agreed. First she flew up the fillies, followed by Pinkie Pie.

“Of course! More caves!” Sweetie Belle screamed, causing rocks to fall everywhere. The other crusaders glared at her.

“Uh, oops?”

They trudged on aimlessly. Apple Bloom sighed.

“These caves just keep going on and on! We have no idea where we’re heading!” Apple Bloom plopped on the ground. Tears were streaming down her pale yellow face. Rainbow searched the cave.

“Hey guys!” Rainbow called. Apple Bloom’s head flew up. “I found a way out! I see trees off in the distance!” She started to run towards the entrance. The others followed closely behind. Rainbow stopped suddenly, and Pinkie smashed right into her.

“What’d you stop for?” Pinkie looked in front of them. “Ohhh.” Right before them lay a chasm too wide to cross.

“How are we supposed to cross this? Rainbow seems far too tired to fly us across,” Pinkie reasoned. Rainbow nodded. Everypony shifted their gaze to Sweetie Belle.

“What am I supposed to do?” she asked after a few moments of the others awkwardly staring at her. “I don’t have wings!”

Pinkie nodded. “But you do have a horn. Maybe you can use your magic to form a path with the
fallen rocks.” Pinkie smiled.

“I can try,” Sweetie Belle admitted. She focused on the rocks around her. Eventually, a green aura formed around her horn. The rocks slowly formed a path. She smiled. “I can’t believe I did it!”.

They ran across and stepped out of the opening. They saw a bright light before them and squinted to see the form of the pony in front of them.

“Oh my gosh!” squeaked Sweetie Belle. “Is that who I think it is?”
