//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: The Search for Rarity // Story: Rarity's Transformation // by Rarityfan87 //------------------------------// Spike ran off in Rarity’s direction. His heart was beating at a rapid pace, his legs were moving at ludicrous speed. As he was running, he was constantly looking left and right, in every alleyway and every opening. After about ten minutes of running, he could hear crying from an alleyway behind what seemed to be an abandoned building. Hoping it was Rarity, he took a look. His hopes were not for nothing, there she was just as beautiful as ever, only as a baby dragon. Spike was admiring her purple and white scales, her purple spines and spikes, her sharp claws and her stunning sapphire blue eyes. While Spike was admiring her, she finally noticed him. “Spike, am I ever happy to see a friendly face!” Rarity said as she ran up to hug him. Spike returned the hug, happy he found her safe and sound. Letting go of him, Rarity asked Spike in a serious tone. “Twilight didn’t follow you did she?” “No she stayed behind to talk to the princesses.” “This is all her fault! I would still be a pony if it wasn’t for her!” Rarity’s face was turning red with rage. “Hold on Rarity, I think I know why it didn’t work out properly...” *Earlier that day at the assembly* Twilight ran up to talk to the princesses. Chaos was ensuing, ponies were running in all directions, panicking about how the dragons would react. The dragons were sitting there, waiting for their king to give them an order. Twilight met up with the princesses and King Huffy. “Your majesty and princesses, I just... I just... don’t know wh... at went wrong.” Twilight said disappointed in herself. “I guess I’m not a great student after all.” “That’s not true Twilight, you are one of my best students. This is all my fault, I shouldn’t have given you the hard task of learning a spell from the Star Swirl the Bearded, in such a short amount of time.” “You are very kind princess, and don’t blame yourself for everything, you are the best teacher in Equestria.” “That is very kind of you to say my faithful student. I guess the lesson here is everypony makes mistakes. Right now though, we need to fix this one before the situation gets out of hand.” “Agreed.” King Huffy spoke. “I will tell my subjects to continue to follow the rules of the treaty until we can meet again.” King Huffy walked up to his subjects. “Loyal subjects, I require your immediate attention. You are ordered to leave these ponies alone until further notice. The treaty is going to be moved to a later date due to ‘technical’ difficulties. You are free to go back to your homes.” The dragons obeyed and flew off towards they’re homes. “Come with Luna and I Twilight, and we will find a spell to turn Rarity back into a pony. We will also send Spike a letter to let him know what the situation is, and ask him if he’s found Rarity.” “I’ll be off Celestia, just contact me when this ordeal has been sorted out.” “For sure Huffy, thank you for understanding.” “No problem, see you later.” King Huffy flew off in the same direction as the other dragons. “Alright, lead the way princess.” *Back to Spike and Rarity* “That’s the reason why I suspect Twilight wasn’t able to turn you back into a pony like the two of you practiced.” “I’m still angry with her! I can’t go around looking like this, you have no problem with it, but the others will probably lose all respect for me.” Rarity replied, tears sliding down her cheeks. Spike walked up beside her and put one arm around her, making soft round motions on her back. He let her lean her head against his, wanting to comfort her in her time of need. “It’s alright Rarity, I’ll stay here by your side. I’ll inform Twilight that I’m still searching for you and that I won’t be home until I find you…” “No Spike, tell her the truth. About how I don’t want to be seen, that you found me and that you want to stay with me, according to your own words.” “Alright, I will do that Rarity.” Spike pulled out a piece of paper from his ‘pouch’ and made a small cut on his arm and started to write the letter. Dear Twilight, I have found Rarity, but she wishes not to be seen, for that reason I won’t be able to give you our location. Do not worry Twilight, I’m going to stay here with Rarity and help her through this. I promise to keep in contact with you. PS: The reason I wrote this in blood is because I didn’t have quill and ink. I don’t have any damage anywhere, so don’t worry. Sincerely, Spike Spike sent the letter to Princess Celestia with his sending flames. They both watched as it disintegrated in the air and flew away.
