Sabrina's Dress

Sabrina

Elusive, Blitzie and me were hysterical. For the last five minutes Dusk has been trapped on dance floor with Bubble. I was almost full on laughing, trying to calm down. Blitz was rolling in the floor. Elusive was, well I guess he was doing what Rarity would do, laugh but quietly and give Blitz and me hard stares for laughing too loud.

I could almost hear Rarity saying 'how uncouth', or whatever the hell that word was, we were being. I felt a hoof grap my shoulder as I slowly stopped dying of laughter.

"Sabrina dear, are you excited for tomorrow?" Elusive asked me.

"What's happening tomorrow?" I asked him.

"The meeting with the Princes." Meeting with the Princes! The pegasister in me freaked, but I'm only 1/8th pegasister and its growing with every second I spend her. It would meet male versions of Celestia and my favorite pony Luna!

"The Princes! Awesome," Then I remembered. I have nothing but the clothes on my back. "Only problem is I don't have anything to wear. *Sigh* if only I knew somepony who could help with that? Elusive do you have any ideas?" Elusive's deep blue eyes grew widely.

"Me? You want me to design your dress?" Elusive asked me.

"Totally. Your the only other pony I know who can design something drop dead gorgeous I would be honored to have a dress designed by Elusive." I told him while making a grand sweeping gesture with my arm.

Elusive almost fainted.

"It would be my pleasure Sabrina."

Giving Elusive a quick thanks I looked over to check up on Dusk. It was hilarious.

Bubble had managed to get a fast party song playing. Dusk was having trouble escaping the dance floor from everypony dancing all around. He had this shocked expression that I found adorable.

Dusk is so cute when he's panicking. I'm not even gonna bother with pretending it didn't happen.

I turned to Elusive one last time. "Elusive when the party is over we can start with the dress." He nodded his head.

"And let me tell you Sabrina, those are some colorful eyes. Does everypony where you're from have eyes like that?" My eyes? MY EYES! I completely forgot about my magically shaded eyes.

"No. I'm the only one. My mom thought it was something to do with my magic but my dad thought it was stupid genetics." I explained. Elusive seemed a little saddened. Hearing my statement.

"Do you miss your parents?" Elusive asked me. I began twirling my hair with my finger subconsciously, I do that when I get nervous.

Do I miss my parents? No. How can I miss the people that sent me here?

"Not really, I'm used to taking care of myself so it'll take a few months before I come even remotely close to missing them." My explanation seemed to confuse him.

"Not miss your parents? How can anypony your age not miss your parents?" Elusive interrogated.

"One, I thought you were taught never to ask a lady her age. Two, because I believe that they are doing all missing for five of me." I explained. This answer seemed to calm down Elusive. "Now if you excuse me I have to party." I joined the many other ponies on the dance floor.

The party lasted another two hours. I saw male versions of background ponies. Many of which had surprising names but otherwise were just as crazy as when I first realized I was in a land full of ponies. Genderswapped ponies.

As the ponies finally started clearing out I told Elusive that it would be best if we left Sugarcube Corner so we could get started on my dress.

He asked of we should tell Dusk, I thought about it and said probably not. He said yes. So we ended up leaving a message with Bubble. I would never get anything done with Dusk's pretty purple unicorn head at the Boutique. It looked just it did in the show.

Except just a little less girly.

They second we got to the door I was placed in the middle of the room.

"Thread by thread, stitching it together

Sabrina's dress, cutting out the pattern snip by snip.

Making sure the fabric folds nicely

It's the perfect color and so hip

Always gotta keep my mind pacing

Making sure the clothes' correctly facing

I'm stitching Sabrina's dress!"

The clothes I came in were removed in a light blue aura (Elusive forgot my bra and underwear but it was still embarrassing) and a lot of sewing materials floated around the room. Many of which became attracted by my body.

I am suddenly glad that my mom made me get 9 dresses tailored in my lifetime.

I heard music from some weird location and before I could even try to find out where i had heard this song
before I joined Elusive in singing.

"Yard by yard, fussing on details

No jewel neckline, did you know a stitch in time saves nine?

Make me something perfect to inspire

Even though I hate formal attire

Gotta mind those colors go with my eyes

Very much to your surprise

It's my new dress!"

This place is awesome! It's where I could use my music power and no one would freak out! Music coming out of nowhere must be a normal thing around here. Or at least normal with Bubble.

I didn't notice Elusive's next couple of verses but it was probably in some fashion language I only understand for two seconds.

What I did notice was that I was about to sing again.

"Piece by piece, snip by snip

Croup, dock, huanch, shoulders, hip

Thread by thread, primmed and pressed

Yard by yard, never stressed!

And that's the art of the dress!" and like that the music vanished.

I hadn't noticed what my dress looked like but hoped it was beautiful.

"And...it's...done!" Elusive finally said. Making sure it was safe to walk around this house in my underwear I took a look at it.

"Wow..."

Dusk

"Berry?" Berry turned to me as we cleaned up the bakery. I became worried when I couldn't find Sabrina. "Have you seen Sabrina?" He nodded vigorously. I waited a second or two for him to respond. "Can you tell me where?" Berry nodded his head again and I was again met with silence. "Will you tell me where Sabrina is?"

"Sure Dusk! She went to work on Elusive for her outfit for tomorrow. Sabrina was really excited about it and said she didn't want to distract you from whatever it is you do." Berry told me in his usual manner.

"Okay. See you later Berry." I told him.

"I'll see you tomorrow! Or wait, will I be seeing you tonight or maybe..." I trotted toward the Boutique, leaving Berry to himself.

As I got close I could hear music.

"Piece by piece, snip by snip

Croup, dock, huanch, shoulders, hip

Thread by thread, primmed and pressed

Yard by yard, never stressed!

And that's the art of the dress!" Was that Sabrina?

As I heard the music fade, I waited a minute or so, in case the music started up again.

I opened the door and what saw was beauty.

Sabrina in her new dress. It was the shade of dark blue as the cloth she wore earlier. The top part held close to her chest, covering those two things on her chest. (Author's Note- I don't entirely think they know of breasts so don't go getting all disgusting) Over her one of her shoulders held a white strap that probably kept the dress from falling. The dress went down to her waist before it really started to shine.

It ruffled down just above the floor. Each of the ruffles had small diamonds to make it look like the most beautiful night sky I have ever seen. It didn't even matter that the star were inaccurate.

Overall, beautiful.

Focus Dusk Shine!

"Thanks Elusive. I was a little skeptic about asking before you agreed to help me." Sabrina said.

"Darling if you didn't then I most certainly would have dragged you here to make you that dress. And what a dazzling dress it is!" Elusive said. Apprently neither of them noticed I was here.

"Wow." I suddenly said.

Sabrina looked over at me, surprised.

"Bubble." I nodded. "As long as you're here, whadda ya think?" She motioned to her dress.

"It looks amazing. Elusive you managed to make this in the time it took me to walk over from Sugarcube Corner?" He nodded.

"I know. The color apparently brings out the green and brown in her eyes. It was surprising. Sabrina also has a love for the night, she told me on the trot over." Elusive told me, I was a little shocked.

Not many ponies love the night. The few that due tend not to show it.

"You like the night?" Sabrina nodded, I think I saw her cheeks blush. "What about the night?" Sabrina waited a moment, as though to choose her favorite part.

"All of it. The stars, cold air, darkness, everyone else being asleep. It's all just so... enchanting." Sabrina said with this beautiful dreamy look on her face.

Elusive cleared his throat.

"Right, thanks for the dress Elusive. I can't wait to see the Princes tomorrow. Dusk just let me get changed and we can go." Sabrina walked behind some room divider.

Elusive trotted over to me as I waited.

"You my stallion have a crush on her don't you?" He asked me.

"What? Me? A crush? On her? Are you serious?" I asked him quickly. Elusive laughed.

"Oh poor colt, I was nearly asking you a question. No need to freak out." Elusive said.

"Right. I knew that." I blushed.

"Of course you did." Elusive joked as Sabrina walked back with her dress in hoof, or hand I guess, and her clothes from the party over her body.

"That was fast." I told her.

"I'm very good at getting dressed. Unlike most girls from where I come from, I don't spend an hour finding things to wear and spending another twelve putting in on. Don't worry I'll explain my life on Earth later." Sabrina explained as she walked towards the door. "You coming Dusk?"

"Oh, right. See you later Elusive." I trotted out the door.

We had been walking for about five minutes when I became mesmerized by Sabrina. She liked so carefree even though she was just tossed into some strange world. Her magic shocked me. Sabrina was using those ice powers to...

Her ice powers

"Why didn't you tell is about your ice powers." I asked. Sabrina looked a little surprised.

"You caught that?" She blushed. I nodded. "Sorry, I was always taught to not show my powers of in public, unless no one would notice then it was alright "So Dusk, what is the Prince like?"

“Princes. The eldest is my mentor Prince Solaris. He can make the sun rise and is skilled with magic. The other Prince is Artemis, which you two already have something in common.”

“What?” Sabrina asked.

“You both love the night. Artemis rises the moon, he has only been back for two years or so.” I don’t know why but I felt like I could explain things to her and she would believe it,n no matter how crazy it sounded.

“Yeah, the Elements of Harmony did a number on her.” Sabrina stopped in her tracks, I did too.

“Her? Artemis is a stallion. How did you know about the elements of Harmony anyway?” I asked. Sabrina
flushed, she looked around probably trying to find some excuse to explain it.

“Uh, how did I know about the Elements. Easy, it was because, uh, I...I...” A look of clarity came across her face. “I will tell you after I tell Prince Solaris. He should know first so he can tell you in some cryptic way.”

“I prefer you tell me now Sabrina.” I told her.

“If I told you Dusk then you would surely write a letter to Solaris and I did not have Elusive make this dress so it would hang in my future closet. Oh look the library!” Having a break in conversation gave Sabrina the chance to run inside.

I was getting those answers. And no matter how I feel about Sabrina I will get them.
