//------------------------------// // Part 26 // Story: Linkin Pony- Recharge // by Kaciekk //------------------------------// It all was over. The hybrids laid dead. There was probably more hybrids in the world, but they wouldn't bother them. Hybrids usually didn't have feelings, but they could sense. And they would sense fear for themselves. Out of all, there was probably only three dead ponies. Three ponies to dozens of Hybrids, it was a good ratio. But any of the ponies that were dead, they would grieve, and give love. All the Linkin Ponies found each other and gathered. They searched the ground for the lost. FeatherTune came across one, a pink mare, who seemed she had fought well. "She'll be missed." FeatherTune bowed his head. "But her next life will be better." He said. "You think she will have another life?" BlazingFlair asked. "Of course, I think all ponies that die will come back in a new life." Feather replied. EchoBeat looked over and nodded with agreement. "What are we going to do with all these hybrids?" SpinningNote said with disgust. "Move them." CharmingRhythm told him bluntly. "That's all we can do. Maybe where that metal scrap yard is." "It felt good to stretch my wings!" HyperBlitz said. "You enjoyed that?" Rhythm cocked his head. "Make the best out of any situation!" Hyper smiled. "Right?" Then CharmingRhythm nodded. "Hey!" They heard the voice of ThunderCharm. She quickly fluttered down by them. "We did it!" She called out. "Yep, and that was because all the ponies worked together." Rhythm told her. "There must be more hybrids somewhere." She pointed out. "Yes, but they wouldn't come anywhere near us." SpinningNote said. "And doing this will inspire others that they can fight too!" All the ponies in the crowd started to come around in a group. They all exchanged tired but grateful expressions. The fight was over, but the world still was in pieces. "It's good that the pure energy is much more powerful, because there was defiantly more Hybrids the ponies." FeatherTune said. "I'm surprised the pure energy, that is blue, didn't combine with the hybrid energy, that is red, and turn purple." SpinningNote taunted. "Well that sorta happened, I had a hybrid explode in my face." Feather shook himself. "We need to start with recharging the city!" CharmingRhythm called out. "Now that the hybrids are out of the way for a while, we can do that." He looked over at the other ponies. "Can we get this armor off?!" HyperBlitz cracked his neck. "Of course." SpinningNote retorted. "Unless you want it to become a part of you like the hybrids." "But I'm glad the fight is over." Hyper shook his head. "I really don't want to fight anymore." "Breaking the Habit?" ThunderCharm smirked. "Okay, now you're making song references?" FeatherTune snapped at the Pegasus. "Well, I like too. And that is one of my favorite songs!" She told him. "Along with Castle of Glass. That's another song that I am feeling right now." "How?" CharmingRhythm said. "Cause I'm only a crack, in this castle of glass. All of this fight was done by so many ponies. I only helped, I didn't do a lot, I'm just another pony, nothing special." "But it's the many ponies that make the difference." BlazingFlair explained. "If we all didn't fight, we would of lost." All the ponies murmured in with agreement. It was true. "So now what?" HyperBlitz said quickly. "Let's just go back to the base for now, then we'll figure out what we will do." CharmingRhythm replied. They headed back to the base and the camp. All the ponies were tired, and the day was almost at end. The sunset cast long shadows that they followed. DawnShy suddenly flew down in the front. She had be fighting too. She trotted along the side of ThunderCharm and the Linkin Ponies. "Memories consume Like opening the wound I'm picking me apart again You all assume I'm safe here in my room Unless I try to start again" HyperBlitz sang, he felt like he needed to. Then DawnShy and ThunderCharm sang too. Other ponies in the crowd that knew the song sang also. "I don't want to be the one The battles always choose 'Cause inside I realize That I'm the one confused" Then ThunderCharm giggled. "That was the very first Linkin Pony song I heard. And when I heard it, I fell in love." DawnShy looked at her and nodded with a smile. "That song has never got old either." "You two are the most true fans I have ever met." CharmingRhythm told them. "Did you have a Underground membership?" He asked. "No, sadly." ThunderCharm told him. "I really wanted one badly. But I deal with not having one, and still kept going. I would get on the internet every day to find news about the band." "Given Up is one of my favorite songs." DawnShy put out there. "Let me guess, the scream?" CharmingRhythm eyed over to HyperBlitz. "It's hard for me to do that scream." He laughed. The ponies came closer to their home, and the dark was setting in. The blue glow of the pure energy lit the way. In the next few days they would give time to settle back down. Then CharmingRhythm would make a plan to go out to the suburbs, and recharge the place. He had some good ideas of how to do that, now that his head had cleared up a bit. But Rhythm still felt odd, something still was weighing him down. They got to the cross road, and all the ponies said goodnight. They watched them go back to the camp. The stallions got inside of their base, so they could take off their armor. They all were tired, and needed rest, they still had much to do in the next days ahead.
