//------------------------------// // Shenanigans Pt. 1 // Story: Scribblenauts Equestria // by munomana //------------------------------// Scribblenauts Equestria Shenanigans Pinkie Pie danced around the streets, bounce in her step. I'd say she was hopping, but... that's actually what she was doing. The notebook dangled in her teeth, simultaneously bouncing with Pinkie. She was a while away from Twilight's library by now. Pinkie was glad that Twilight had that book in the library, because she couldn't stop imagining the loads of fun she could create with it. She was as happy as ever. She was always this happy, but this was a special occasion. Today was a beautiful day, and she was on her way to Rainbow's house for a day full of harmless pranks. She had a destination in mind, but she could only help but focus on the beautiful day around her and the many ponies around her. She couldn't help but wave at each of the ponies or give a large smile. They were in their always chipper moods, happily completing their errands for the day. They all acknowledged each other with a smile or wave. It seemed like a perfect little town, where everypony liked each other. Everypony Pinkie passed shot her a, "hello!", or a simple gesture of happiness. They weren't necessarily concerned or bothered by her intentions, even though Pinkie was scarcely seen reading a book other than a cook book. Pinkie had been certainly intrigued by this book herself, though. Pinkie stopped her bouncing momentarily as she rose the book and removed it from her mouth before looking at it. Something was confusing her since she got it. Something she couldn't pinpoint. 'Why didn't Twilight put this book back in the piles of other library books? Silly Twilight!' "Hi Pinkie!" "Oh, hiya Rosheluck!" slurred Pinkie, book still in mouth. She quickly removed it and placed it in her hoof. Roseluck passed a rose to a customer across the booth before picking up the bits she received and turning back to Pinkie. She gave a curious glance towards the book Pinkie held. "Oh, what's that book you're carrying around? New cook book?" Pinkie Pie gleamed a bright smile before shaking her head vigorously. "Nope! It's a new, super fantastical book I got at the library! It's SOOOOOO super-dee duper sweet!" Roseluck thought for a moment. 'What kind of book could get her so excited?...' She quickly stole a glance. She identified the book as a notebook based on the spiral protruding from the crease. She also noticed a large, yellow star on the front. It didn't have a name on it, which she found slightly confusing, but she didn't think too much of it. "I wouldn't want to bother you too much. Celestia knows what you're going to use that book for. I'll just let ya' go for now." Roseluck turned from Pinkie to a brown stallion pegasus who stood across the stall. He had a spiky mane with a yellow/green half and a yellow half, which also applied to his tail. On his flank adorned his cutie mark: A microphone. "Oh, hello there! How may I help you?" The stallion looked around quizzically for a moment before turning back to Roseluck. "Hi, I'm Toxic Twist and I'm new to town. Would you happen to know the way to town hall? I can find my way around from there." Roseluck put on a chipper expression before happily pointing towards the east, where in the distance, a large building could be identified. "Right that way, Toxic." Toxic stared down east where he saw something he didn't expect to see. Instead of a town full of ponies, he was met with a large blob of Pink, mere inches from his face. "WHOA!" He jumped back a meter or so before fumbling his hooves and falling down. Dazed, Toxic moved his vision back towards Pinkie, who seemed to be furiously scribbling in the notebook. The more she wrote, the more items that formed around her, one by one. They each stacked up, spawning faster and faster. It moved from one item a second, to two, to four, and to even ten. The speed of the pencil managed to cause the notebook to emit smoke. yet the pencil never shortened. Balloons, candies, tables, chairs, and party equipment appeared at an alarming rate. Each item plopped to the ground, except for the treats, which all somehow landed in bowls on the tables. Ponies surrounded her, confused, curious, and downright terrified. They hadn't seen phenomenon like this happen before. The most shocking part was the fact that Pinkie wasn't even a unicorn, but just a simple Earth Pony. One by one, tables readied, foods completed, and games prepared, in the matter of a few seconds. It was astonishing. Toxic sat on the floor, baffled. Pinkie just sat there smiling. "WELCOME TO PONYVILLE! I'm Pinkie Pie, and I'll be your new bestest friend!" Toxic shakily got to his hooves, completely shocked. He didn't really care at the time about the party at all. More of the spontaneous spawning of party equipment. "Th-thanks, I g-guess..." He trotted over to the treats table to examine. All the treats were chocolate-flavored. 'Oh... great... Chocolate...' Toxic turned back to Pinkie before growing what looked like a smile. He scratched the back of his neck with his wing before chuckling silently to himself. He slowly grew a brave face. "Hey, Pinkie, I sincerely appreciate the party, but I gotta head down to Town Hall. I'm trying to buy a house, and there are few available. I do hope to see you later! I also hate chocolate..." Pinkie seemed a bit upset, but she didn't care. She knew that Toxic's priorities were first. Besides, he's buying a house anyway. She'll throw him one later. "Alrighty, Toxie!" She then hopped past the confused and nervous stallion nonchalantly. In an instant, all the party equipment disappeared. The surrounding ponies all scattered, mumbling to themselves that it was just Pinkie being Pinkie. Toxic, too, left towards his destination. All that was left was a quite perplexed Roseluck. 'Pinkie, where are you!?' Twilight rushed down the streets, one thing on her mind. She could not fathom the amount of destruction and havoc that one pink pony could cause, not only to Ponyville, but to the entirety of Equestria itself. She passed by concerned pony after concerned pony, trying to pinpoint a certain color that could only mean trouble. She couldn't help but imagine a few scenarios of the shenanigans Pinkie could cause with that sort of power in her hooves. The more she thought about it, the less dangerous she took it to sound, but nonetheless, it was limitless after seeing the 1000+ cupcakes in her Library. 'Why would Pinkie even take it?' Twilight almost stumbled over her own hooves. She hadn't really thought of it until now. She knew that Pinkie wouldn't steal. It seemed too uncharacteristic of Pinkie. Twilight continued to stand in the street, pondering it. "Hmm... maybe I could ask-" Twilight seemed to come to a slight realization that would actually make sense. It struck her like a pile of bricks. 'I live in a library...' She mentally face-hoofed herself, realizing her mistake. She knew she had to sort this out, but in the long run, it mattered on finding Pinkie. Twilight quickly began running again, disregarding everything but Pinkie and the infamous notebook. 'If I were a Pinkie Pie, where would I run off to...' Twilight pondered this for a moment. She couldn't think straight as she was too focused on not running into ponies. She weighed her options before spotting a small park bench in the distance. She seemed something was off before realizing that her chasing had led her to the Ponyville park unknowingly. The speeding Twilight slowed to a halt. She bowed over for a second to catch her breath, not noticing the amount of energy she had been spending trying to find Pinkie. She was more tired than she originally thought. The adrenaline coursing through her veins from pure fear died down slowly as she regained her posture. 'For a pony who loves sweets as much as Spike loves Rarity, she's surprisingly fit... I'll have to research that.' As Twilight regulated her breath, she let out a small sigh. No luck so far. She turned her head to the empty park bench before deciding that sitting down now would be the best option at the moment, considering that blindly running would lead her nowhere. She sluggishly trotted over to the wooden bench before placing herself gently. She organized her thoughts. 'Okay, well Pinkie doesn't have work today, so that's a no... perhaps she had plans today?' Twilight tried thinking back to the library, in case Pinkie had said anything about plans. The harder she thought, the more fruitless she was. All she remembered was Pinkie helping her figure out how to fix her old problem. 'Think Twilight! What would Pinkie do FIRST with a notebook like that? Food? Fun? Pranks?' Something clicked in her head. It seemed like it made sense. 'Pranks with Rainbow Dash... It makes sense... wait, oh no...' She quickly shot to her hooves, furiously twitching her head around, trying to spot Rainbow Dash's house. She spent several seconds looking North, West, South, and East before realizing that her house was a large cloud, not to mention that she might now even be there. Her eyes flew skyward as she scoured the clouds, searching for a certain spectrum of colours. She couldn't help but think on a slight tingly sense in her muzzle. It felt like an itch, but scratching it wasn't helping. Suddenly, a blinding light covered her vision. It came out of nowhere. Twilight rubbed her eyes vigorously, trying to adjust her eyes to the sudden flash. As her eyes began returning to normal, a rustle emanated from a nearby bush, accompanied by a saccharine giggle. It sounded strangely familiar. Along with the change, she couldn't help but focus on a slight feeling in her muzzle. As her eyes finally adjusted, she opened them quickly, to see what had just occurred. Twilight had been mustachioed. "PINKIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
