The sound of metal gallops filled the air. All of ponies and hybrids. Many hybrids were now dead, it didn't look like any ponies were dead. That was good news, but there were many more hybrids to go.
CharmingRhythm glanced around. He couldn't get sight of SpinningNote again. What did he want to say? Was it him who placed the fag down? Where did this flag even come from? Rhythm looked at the flag. He scooped it up with his metal hoof. The wind caught it and let the fabric wave. A flag the color of blood, stood out over everything.
More ponies crashed past, more hybrids screeched. CharmingRhythm swung around and smacked the flag into the face of a hybrid. Then he smashed his hoof into it's side. The red glow faded, but a blue glow on Rhythm rose.
The energy grew more and more. Was this what SpinningNote was speaking of? There was an odd feeling in CharmingRhythm's back. A static rush flowed out, and it felt like something was ripped out of his back. Of course it wasn't real, but Pure energy connected with the nerves, so what ever it did, Rhythm could feel it
He twisted his head around and saw something that wasn't there before. A set of bright blue wings buzzed. They were surrounded by electricity and were created entirely of energy. They were like insect wings, and they seemed to come from a little slot in the armor.
CharmingRhythm jumped. This was a surprise. He couldn't move them all that much, but he could feel it. What use were these? He quickly pushed forward, he placed the flagpole in his mouth. He kept his eyes looked forward. A hybrid that got in the way, he hit it to the side with his shoulder, and the wing, cut into the hybrid.
He had gone the same direction the crowd had pushed SpinningNote. Rhythm wanted to find him. He wanted to know what these wings were for. They couldn't really move, but why could he fell them. Suddenly, he caught sight of Spinning.
"HEY!" SpinningNote shot around and jumped when he heard him.
"I was trying to tell you!"
"About these things!" CharmingRhythm shouted. "I'm a electric-bug-winged armored pony!? Are you trying to make me look like a freak!?"
SpinningNote looked at the ground. "I forgot to tell you.... hehe... Hybrid Theory eh?"
"I don't need wings!!! What use are they!?" He shouted even louder.
"I thought they might look cool. And they are made of energy, they can be used as shields or even weapons. All the armors I made have them, but Pegasi." Spinning explained.
"Then why don't you have them?!"
"Because my energy is not on high."
CharmingRhythm shook his head. "I don't know why you didn't tell me before!"
"Why do you have to yell at me?"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" They both were startled by HyperBlitz. "We're not here to argue! We are here to kill hybrids!" He snapped.
Rhythm gave out a sigh. "Hyper's right."
They all nodded, then galloped off in different directions. SpinningNote searched around. He needed to inform other ponies of the armor. He tried to think of who needed it. Spinning gazed over and saw BlazingFlair.
Blazing kept his head high as he trashed hybrids to the side. He stepped back from the crowd. It seemed his energy was getting in high also. SpinningNote jumped down by him.
"Blazing, don't be surprised if wings come out of the armor!" He shouted.
"What?!" BlazingFlair called out confused. He spun around and kicked another hybrid.
ThunderCharm was there too. She was determined, circling around the hybrid enemies. On the outside, she tried to be brave, but it was easy to tell she was afraid on the inside. They all were afraid on the inside, but they fought for each other. ThunderCharm pushed up into the air. She glanced at the other ponies. She gave an odd look at BlazingFlair.
Blazing saw her, then he turned his head around. He jumped when he saw the blue wings from his back. He shot a look at SpinningNote.
"I told you." Spinning yelled.
He found his way over to EchoBeat. The red pony tried to cope with the fight. Blood ran from his mouth as he steadied on a hybrid. He slammed his side into it. SpinningNote saw that his energy was not close to being high. EchoBeat need help soon. Spinning clopped over and put his hoof on Echo's armor.
"What are you doing?" EchoBeat coughed.
"You need this!" Spinning's energy transferred over to EchoBeat.
The blue lit up in his armor. Suddenly a stroke of blue light came from the slit in the back. Wings then buzzed as electricity swarmed around them.
"What?!" Echo said.
"Use them as shields, or weapons, hit them into hybrids!" SpinningNote ordered.
EchoBeat swirled around and caught a hybrid. He dipped his shoulder and cut into the hybrid. The wing crshed the metal and blue energy took over the being.
On the other side of the battle, HyperBlitz soared over the commotion. He took out Pegasi hybrids as the flew and shot lasers to the crowd. The orb in his metal wing glowed and burned bright. it seemed that it would burn so bright, it would take out the eyes of hybrids. The yellow pegasus spun around and laughed. It felt good to take out some energy.
The count of hybrids was low, and many laid on the ground deceased. When the battle would end, ponies would have to take the hybrid bodies somewhere they could rust and rot. But it was good to see many ponies were not dead, but many were hurt. If there was a pony dead, it wasn't here, but somewhere off in the battle.
HyperBlitz did his best to kill hybrids, and he with his energy, did pretty well. He looked around, not a lot of red glow was left, but blue glow overran the area. After hours, had the war ended?
