Chapter 35: Magical Mystery Cure
A few days have past since we returned from the Crystal Empire. With my injured shoulder I was given so time off to heal. So I was just sitting by myself at home, bored. I wasn’t sure where Rainbow was, but hey we can’t be with each other 24/7.
I’m sitting on the couch, and I look over to Tank besides me and think, ‘Is it possible to teach a tortoise how to play Science?’
Then there was a flash of light in the middle of the living room, when it vanished and certain draconequus.
“Hey Dad.” I greeted Discord.
“Hello Seth.” He responded.
“So what’s up?”
“Up is a direction.” He said smirking.
“I mean, what are you here for?”
“Celestia is giving Twilight some test, and she doesn’t want you to interfer.”
“So Princess Celestia sees me as a distraction? Well that’s good to know.” I say slightly offended.
“Oh I’m sure she doesn’t mean it like that.” He snaps his fingers making a recliner appear and he sits down, “Besides we need to talk.”
“Okay about what?”
“A few things, first is that battle you had with that other you”
“Yeah, I’m wondering about a few things, like is that was I was meant to be originally? Or how the hell was it able to absorb other beings? And come to think of it when he threw me to the ground how did I survive that, let alone have no broken bones?”
“Well, yes I made you look like that, but the whole “Everything must be me” thing came from bitterness of being trapped in your mind.”
“So he wasn’t my true self, just a piece of my personality?”
“Yeah.”
“And it’s gone?”
“Not really.”
“Huh?” I ask tilting my head, “So it’s not dead? It’s still out there?!”
“No, no, no. It went back to where it came, but I think you have more control over it know, but who knows, we have to see next time somepony gets you really pissed off.” Discord disappeared, and reappeared upside down with a cup of coffee, “Now, for the absorbing thing, and this goes with the surviving thing. You see, even though I made you and Screwball out of boredom I put much more work into you than you think.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well Screwball’s a genius, she’s already made some inventions way ahead of this time, and as for you, well being a unicorn you can use magic, but you have even greater powers locked away inside of you.”
“I-I do?”
“Well yeah, but you need to unlock them yourself to find out your full potential, and I think I know what can help that.”
“What?”
“Both Celestia and I sense that there is a much greater evil on the horizon. A being who’s older, more powerful, and much more terrible than even myself. His name is Dormis, he is a goblin with powers very similar to mine. And you know how I’m the spirit of chaos. Well he’s the spirit of misery.”
“And I have to deal with him?!” I asked shocked, “Well, how long do I have to get ready?”
“About a seasons worth of episodes.”
“Uhh... What?”
“Probably about a year, but he may make himself present before then.”
“Hmm...” I all I say.
“Something wrong?” Discord asks.
“Just wondering something, if I’m able to survive things that would normally kill a pony and I apparently have great powers locked away, and considering that you basically a god, does that make me a demigod?”
Discord floats down to the ground and rubs his chin “Hmm... haven’t really thought of it that way, but come to think of it, yeah you kinda are.” Discord teleports next to me dressed in a light blue suit, and holding a microphone, “Congratulations Seth you have gone up in Gary Stu levels, what are you going to do now?!”
“Umm... I don’t know.”
Discord facepalms, “You were supposed to say ‘I’m going to Disneyworld’.”
“What world?” I ask.
“Nevermind.” Discord’s suit disappears and he looks at a watch, “Besides it’s time for you to join your friends.” He snaps his fingers and there was a flash of light.

I reappeared by myself in Ponyville where nearby was Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Applejack, Rarity, and Spike. I also notice that he seemed to have healed my shoulder. Well that was nice of him.
“Seth where’d you come from?” Spike asked.
“Home. Discord teleported me here after telling me that there is a greater evil coming, and that I’m technically a demigod.” I explain.
Before there was a response a ball of light to resembled Twilight’s cutie mark appeared in the sky, and descended down to the ground.
After the light cleared it was revealed that it was Twilight, and she now had wings.
“Awesome! A new flying buddy!” Rainbow exclaimed, hugging Twilight.
“Why you’ve become an Alicorn. I didn’t even know that was possible.” Rarity said.
Pinkie than Swung by shouting, “Alicorn party!”, as balloons seemed to just come out of nowhere.
“Wow, you look just like a princess.” Fluttershy told Twilight.
Princess Celestia came down from the sky and said, “That’s because she is a princess.”
We were all surprised, Pinkie even pulled a glass of water out of nowhere to do a spit take.
“A-A princess?” Twilight asked.
Celestia put a hoof on Twi’s shoulder and said, “Since you’ve come to Ponyville you’re displayed the charity, compassion, devotion, integrity, optimism, and of course the leadership of a true princess.”
“But, does this mean I won’t be your student anymore?”
“Not in the same way as before. I’ll still be here to help and guide you, but we’re all your students now too. You are an insparation to us all Twilight.” Celestia bowed and the rest of us did as well.
“But, what do I do now? Is there a book about being a princess I should read?”
Celestia giggles, “There will be time for all of that later.”

The next day at Canterlot we were all dressed up and standing in the throne room of the castle in front of a crowd of ponies. Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were standing together as Celestia spoke, “We are gathered here today in celebration of a momentous occasion. My most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, has done many extraordinary things since she's lived in Ponyville. She even helped reunite me with my sister, Princess Luna. But today, Twilight Sparkle did something extraordinary. She created new magic, proving without a doubt that she is ready to be crowned Equestria's newest princess. Fillies and gentlecolts, may I present for the very first time, Princess Twilight Sparkle.”
Twilight walked up to Celestia, all dressed up herself, and Spike came up with a tiara, that Princess Celestia put on Twilight’s head.
They walked out to the balcony and Twilight began a speech, “A little while ago, my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville. She sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about. But now, on a day like today, I can honestly say I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you. Each one of you taught me something about friendship, and for that, I will always be grateful. Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria. Thank you, friends. Thank you, everypony.”
The crowd cheers, and we go back inside.
Shining Armor and Cadence run up to us. “Twilight! I’m so proud of you.”
“Are you crying?” Twilight asks her brother.
“Of course not, it’s... it’s liquid pride totally a different thing.”
They both laugh and hug.
“Way to go, princess.” Applejack says.
“Best coronation day ever!” Pinkie exclaimed.
“We love you, Twilight.” Fluttershy said.
“I love you too girls.” Twilight said before they made a group hug.
Thought at the end of the room I notice something, a strange creature standing there. It was a little shorter than what Inferno was, wearing a dark blue suit and hat. It had yellow skin, straight white hair, and a long nose. It’s eyes were pitch black with red dots for pupils. It smiled and waved at me before disappearing in a cloud of dark purple aura.
‘So I assume that’s what I’m up against.’ I think to myself, ‘Bring it on.’
