Twilight paced around the room, holding a concealed game in her magical grip. The three mares, who had just recovered from yesterday's game night, watched as the mare debated whether or not to play that game.
"So I was thinking that, since I got a little competitive-"
"A LITTLE? Twi, that was way more than a little." Rainbow scoffed, interrupting her friend.
"-I concluded that we should play a different genre. And then I thought, "What makes friends bond more than being scared half to death?" So I found this." Twilight continued as she threw down the game case. It was riddled with cracks and rust, but upon closer inspection, that was apart of the artwork. Across the top, the title read: "Silent Ponyville 3" in terrifyingly rustic letters.
"Um... this 'ere game looks kinda scary, sugarcube." Applejack gulped.
"That's the point! Now sit down, shut up, and play!" Twilight demanded. "I will not lose this bet... too much is at stake..."

The game started in what looked to be a restaurant with the name "Happy Veggie" written on the wall. The room was completely empty save for a mare, sitting at a table with her head in her arms. The camera panned in quickly to show her waking up from an apparent nap, showing her quite young face.
"She looks our age!" Pinkie giggled, before having a realization, "That means... oh I hope nothing bad happens to her!"
The game cut to the mare talking on a phone to what appeared to be her dad, with a stallion in the background paying a little too much attention to her. She hung up after noticing him, started to walk away, only to be followed by the Stallion. She quickly turned around, obviously frustrated by the potential perv.
"Why are you Following me?" The mare yelled.
"I'm sorry, miss Feather Masonry. I have been hired to find you." The stallion replied. "My name is Cart Doug Wheeler, but most people call me Douglas."
"Well good for you. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go." Feather said, turning away.
She started walking away, but he was still following her. She started speed walking and, to her amazement, found a Mare's Restroom.

"So what do you think of the game so far, girls?" Twilight asked, shifting her gaze from the screen to her friends, who were heavily invested, even though they were only about three minutes into the game.
"I like it! Although I can tell it's going to get complicated later!" Pinkie replied, still smiling.
"Ah like 'er, she got some backbone!" Applejack complimented, and Rainbow agreed with a nod.
"Yeah, Most games have the female always protected by a stallion, But not this game!"
"Okay now lets see here..." Twilight muttered as she and her friends quickly went back to the game. She moved Feather over to the mirror where a circle with three smaller circles was painted on with a blood-like substance. A save point. She moved Feather over to a stall and clicked A.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Well that wasn't so bad." Rainbow muttered as she put her arms down, expecting a jumpscare.
"Where am I supposed to go?" Twilight wondered as the game refused to let her leave through the door.
"Try that window ther', Twi." Applejack instructed, pointing her hoof to the left side of the screen.
She did as she was told and, to her surprise, went through the window. Feather appeared in a back alley of sorts that seemed to stretch forever. She walked as far as she could but, eventually, her path was blocked by a van.
"Couldn't she just, y'know, jump over it?" Rainbow asked, doubting the intelligence of the game's creators. "She is a pegasus after all."
"I could care less. Oh hey, a door!" Twilight shouted, finding a door along the building. "I think this is a mall, because I've never seen any single store this big."
She opened the door and was immediately greeted by a cutscene. It showed a closed view blocking off the store and focused on Feather. She ran forward and looked down to see an odd object: a gun. she moved her wing down and picked the weapon up, examining it. Suddenly, a loud noise filled the room as she turned and saw-
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" Pinkie, Rainbow, and Twilight screamed in unison at the creature that appeared on screen.
The creature was a tall, menacing thing, with thick, all-encompassing arms. Some sections of the creature's arms seem to be stitched together and bandaged up. its face seemed to be completely taken over by amorphous lips and it bore a blood covered nurse gown.
"Kill it! Kill it with fire!" Rainbow yelled, wings covering her face.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Pinkie quickly said over and over.
Applejack just looked at the screen indifferently as Twilight, extremely frightened, began firing as many bullets as possible at the creature. When it finally fell, the name "Closer" appeared on screen.
"That was...." Twilight started, taking heavy breaths, "Awesome!"
"I love this game, its so suspenseful!" Pinkie bounced.
"Uh... Applejack?"
Applejack's poker face was disrupted by a slowly growing grin and soon that grin stretched from ear to ear, "Ahahaha, Ya'll are a bunch a' pansies!" Applejack burst into laughter, "But, ah have ta' admit, that was pretty bucked up."
"Wow Applejack..."
The mares went through many more monster(and scream outbursts), got several items, and just solved a book puzzle and went through a door.
As Feather came out, a cutscene started. A rather old looking mare stood at the end of the hall, watching Feather walk toward her.
" Hay wait, what's going on? Where is everypony? Those weird monsters..." Feather asked, a little annoyed.
" They've come to witness the Beginning. The rebirth of Paradise, despoiled by mankind." The mare exclaimed prominently. I am Claudia."
"So?"
""Remember me, and your true self as well, also that which you must become. The one who will lead us to Paradise with bloodstained hooves." She demanded.
"Claudia? Right? Did you do all this?" Feather yelled, even more annoyed, "And what about those monsters?"
Claudia sighed and shook her head before looking back up at Feather, "It was the Hoof of God."
"AAHH!" Feather screamed, clutching her stomach as her vision blurred. When she could finally see again, Claudia was gone and the elevator ahead of her was now open.
"Do you guys hear that chanting? It's really creepy." Rainbow said, earning nods from the others. Twilight headed into the elevator, worried of the horrors that might be in there.

Feather stepped out of the elevator into a completely dark room. She turned on the flashlight, and was horrified by the area around her. The walls and floors were covered in blood and mold, gurneys with bodies filled the halls, and a single ladder leading down sat in front of them.
"Uh guys, I don't think we're in Equestria anymore..." Pinkie gulped. They were surprised that she was actually frightened by this. It must have been REALLY creepy.
Twilight moved Feather down the ladder, which seemed surprisingly long, and as soon as they reached the bottom, a cutscene played.
She found herself in a small dirty room at the bottom of the mall. There were six holes on the sides, Some of them covered by grates. She turns around and a huge worm like creature smashes out of one of the grates.
"HOLY LUNA!" All four screamed in unison. The worm opened a slit in it's head to reveal a very human like mouth. "KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!"
~Meanwhile~
"Goodnight, Celly!" Luna yelled after her yawning sister, who was on her way to bed, before marching back into the room. "So what movie should we watch now?"
Eon Spirit, who just spent the day watching movies with his mom and aunt, shook his head before pulling out a laptop, "I need to check up on something." He smiled as the princess plopped down in front of the laptop.
"What's this all about?"
Eon's grin grew wider, "I made a bet with Twilight that within the next two months that I'm here, she has to prove that she and her friends are good gamers by beating at least twenty games. I even left her the beginners book I wrote."
"Any stakes?"
"Yes, If I win-
"HOLY LUNA, KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!" The laptop speaker blared, causing Eon and Luna to nearly fall off the couch.
"I bugged the library with cameras and mics."
"Sneaky, I like it."
