//------------------------------// // The Doctor will see you now. // Story: Luna goes to the Doctors office. // by SolidFerret //------------------------------// "Luna?" Nothing. "Luna?" The voice cooed to her. Still no response. "Come on Luna. You're not well. You've been so unresponsive all day." Princess Celestia had tried to talk to her sister. But Princess Luna would just stare off into space (No pun intended) as if she was stuck in her own mind. "Well if your not going to talk, at least tell me why you're like this?" They both sat in Luna's room. No light was in there and only the sun that was on the other side would give it light. Luna only stared blankly out the window and at the blue sky. Princess Celestia talked to her alone to hopefully see why her sister had been in a dormant state. She had sat in her room for hours ever since she woke up. "Luna, I can take you to the doctors if you don't feel well?" Celestia said. She could have sworn Luna had a small fragment of a tear build up in her eye as she heard those words. She could never go back. She would never face him again. After over ten thousand years, she still feared his wretched office. Luna almost burst into tears if she wasn't so focused on the dream from last night. Little Princess Luna ran around happily as she chased butterflies through a park. Celestia fixed her pink mane as she tried to impress several boys. Their mother sat on a bench away from them to make sure that nothing bad would happen to them. Celestia may have been going into her teen years but she was still young and could easily get into trouble. While Luna was an accident waiting to happen with a filly her age. Those thoughts still couldn't take away from the beautiful day. Only a few clouds littered the sky that were made to not block the warm and comforting sun. A cool breeze that even wouldn't make the most sensitive shiver. The sky was as blue as the ocean. It seemed as though nothing would go wrong. "I'll use my magic to drag you out this room." Princess Celestia said assertively. Her sister only sat there, not even moving after Celestia left. "I will count to three." Celestia tried her hardest to not snap at her sister. She loved her very much. But the way she had been acting had gotten on even the calm and usually collective Princess Celestia. Yet Luna only sat there. "One." Celestia said sternly. "Two." She said in a tone to get Luna to know that she meant business. "Three." Celestia lit her horn as watched as a light blue aura covered Luna. Luna didn't even flinch at the sudden contact. She still stared off even when she was lifted out of her room. She didn't acknowledge the fact that she was being carried through the hall ways and to the royal carriage. Some ponies looked at her with concern. "She's been like this all day." Celestia addressed to the guards that seemed to be worried about her. "She's going to the doctors office right now." She stepped out and was greeted with a cool breeze that welcomed her. Luna still stared as she was lowered into the carriage. It seemed as though as if her very soul had left her body, but Celestia could still sense it in her. She told the guards that they needed to got to the doctors office. They both shared uneasy looks as they took off. Luna began to shake. She could never go back. After the horrible experience that she had last time, there was no way that she could face HIM. For he had done things to Luna that made her cry at the very thought of would make her break down in tears. Luna giggled at her own happiness as she ran after the butterflies. The butterflies themselves seemed to have enjoyed the chase and at one point, flew down towards Luna, who sat confused since she thought that they would stay up in the air. The butterfly simply flew at Luna's nose and tapped it. Luna giggled madly and fell backwards at the unexpected contact. She rolled around on the soft grass and laughed away. But when the butterflies seemed to fly away, Luna quickly got up and gave chase. She was so focused on her flying friends that she was unaware of the fence that made the border fo the park. Luna ran straight in to the fence. The sudden pain made her see stars as she shook around. The pain was bad and Luna didn't know what to do. She burst into tears and held her face to try to stop the pain. Celestia and their mother heard and ran over to her. "What's wrong Luna?" Their mother asked concerned. Luna pointed at the fence and then went back to holding her hurt face. A small dent could be seen in the fence. "Mom we might need to take her to the hospital." Celestia said as she tried to comfort her hurt sister. "No. Just a doctors office. If she broke something then we'll go the hospital." Celestia nodded and picked up her sister flew along side her mother to the doctors office. "You need to stop shaking Luna. We're just about there." Celestia assured her shaking sister. Luna still shook in fear as they lowered in to the town and and was lifted off the carriage by Celestia's magic. But at the very sight of the front door to the doctors' office, Luna knew she needed to say something. "No Tia please don't make me go! I'm better now! I'm better now!" She shrieked as she waved her hoofs around and tried to get free from the magic. Tears spilling from her eyes. "Well look who's back." Celestia joked. "Tia, how can you make me go in there when last time went so horrible? You had to make up a story for todays generation of ponies to make sure young ones never fear a doctors office." Celestia had a look of sorrow "I know. But he's gone now Lulu. You need to get a check up any ways and see that the doctors' isn't so bad as when you were a filly." "Please don't make me go." Luna pleaded quietly. A hopeful and tearful stare tried to change Celestia's mind. "Luna. I promise that nothing bad will happen to you." Celestia said assuringly. "Alright.' Luna said defeated. The wait for the doctor was hard enough. Luna still shook at the coldness of the waiting room. Young fillies and colts seemed to be just as nervous as her. Celestia giggled at the comparison. "Luna?" A small voice called. Luna flinched at the very sound of her name being called. "The doctor will see you now." Luna sniffled as the doctor examined her forehead. Celestia and their mother stared back with concern for the little princess. "Well I can't tell if there is any fracture. I can take an x-ray just to be safe?" "Yes. Just to be safe." The queen said. The doctor nodded his head and opened the door at the opposite side of the room from where they came from. Luna seemed confused. "Lulu, this nice young colt is gonna take you to make sure you're alright." Her mother said. Luna seemed to be even more confused. "Come on Luna. We need to take an x-ray." The doctor said at the door way. Luna timidly made her way to the doctor and out the door. The doctor closed the door right behind him. Luna sat on the bed that patients always laid on. The nurse told them that the doctor would be with them shortly. "Now relax Lulu. He won't hurt you." Celestia said. Before Luna could object, the door opened and in walked an older looking stallion. "Hello." Luna nearly fainted. "So what seems to be the problem today?" He asked. "My sister just needs a checkup." Celestia told him. "Well that's easy." He said. Luna kept shaking throughout. When he checked her ears, she tried to flatten them to make sure he wouldn't see. When he checked her temperature, she had to stop shaking to make sure it wasn't so high from the energy. When he checked her eyes, she tried to keep them shut if it weren't for Celestia's magic. But after a few long minutes, it seemed like it was all over. "You seem perfectly healthy Luna." The doctor said. Luna seemed to sigh a breath of relief. "Now Celestia, I think we need to schedule our next appointment. If you can come with me we can set them up." He said. Celestia nodded and got up and followed him out the door. When it closed, Luna seemed to have stopped shaking and even laughed at her own worried expression. She began to think back to her last visit. Where did it go wrong. She remembered being taken to get an x-ray and never getting one. She remembered going through that door and never coming out. Luna perked up in fear at the realization of where Celestia went. Luna walked into the x-ray room. A bed with laid out in the room. Without being told she hopped onto the bed and looked at the machine that hung above the bed. "Now just lay on your back and look up. I need to strap you in so you don't fall off." He said. He secured the strappes as Luna snuggled in to get comfortable. Soon, she was told to stare at the red dot. She got so distracted by the simple action that she was unaware of the bed and machine moving. But when she realized that she was in a different room, it was already to late. She heard the voice of the doctor outside. "Yes. Time to examine pony growth... ON THE MOON!" He laughed evily as the rocket began to rumble. "LUNA!" Celestia screamed. But it was to late. Luna got free and ran to the window to see her sister and mother stare back with tears in there eyes. Luna pounded on the window and screamed for her family. "Mommy! Tia!" But it was hopeless. She felt gravity push on her as the rocket took off. Luna sprinted down the hall and looked for a door that could show some sort of way to where the rocket was. A door with the words 'employees only' seemed promising. Soon she found herself staring a a giant rocket ship. The window showed her sister pounding on the window. Luna thought fast and saw a control panel. She puled it loose with her magic and pulled on several wires. Only the door opened and Celestia ran out. "Oh Tia. I'm so glad you're safe." "I'm sorry for taking you here Lulu." "Don't worry. We'll end this." "How?" They looked over to see a furious doctor. "NO! My plan is ruined. I need to finish my ancestors research." He yelled. "We can help." Luna said. "How?" The doctor simply found himself tied up inside the rocket as it took off. "Let's go home Tia." Luna said. The two walked off into the sunset. Luna had done it. She had conquered the real reason why she got sent to the moon. They looked at the orange sky together as they rode back to the castle.
