"What do you think Princess Celestia is going to do when she get's here tomorrow?" The shy pegasus asked Applejack, walking beside her as they left Sweet Apple Acres.

Applejack shrugged ,"Ah reckon she's just gonna get Twilight's friendship report in person, it is what she usually does anyway,"

"I heard there's going to be a parade...I hope it isn't too big, It might scare the some of the blue-jays that live near here," Fluttershy said, motioning with her hoof towards the homes of several of the blue birds she knew about. She waved at a few that were flying around merrily near-by.

"Really? Well ah guess tomorrow ah'm gonna have to work extra to harvest apples for the parade, which is fine with me!"

"I'm not sure, though. But Twilight would know, should we um, stop by and see her?"

The two ponies were returning home from a full day of working at Sweet Apple Acres together, Well, mostly Fluttershy keeping the earth pony company while she worked, so Applejack didn't seem very fond of the idea. She adjusted her hat to block out the setting sun.

"Ah don't know...Ah worked ma tail off today, sugarcube. Ah reckon' she will tell us anyway before Princess Celestia gets here,"

"I could, um just go by myself, and tell you when I'm back..."

Applejack giggled and sighed ,"Ok, alright darlin'. we can go to Twilight's house,"

Fluttershy smiled ,"Yay...!"

"Ya know ah can't argue with ya when look at me with them baby-blues," Applejack swooned.

Fluttershy blushed ,"Awe!..But they're um, nothing compared to your eyes, I love how amazingly green they are,"

"Awh, Shucks Fluttershy, that's awfully nice of ya, but everypony knows ya have the most beautiful eyes in Equestria,"

The shy pegasus held off a squeak ,"You're too nice to me, Applejack,"

"Too nice? hehe It's not like ah have to try when ah'm with you," The earth pony said happily.

After over a month and a half of being together, the orange pony had grown quite accustomed to saying the right things when it comes to a conversation with Fluttershy.

The two then turned a corner that led straight to Twilight Sparkle's library home.
When they arrived, Applejack knocked a few times on the door. She could hear Twilight in there, but could tell she didn't hear the knocks after about half a minute.

"Ah can hear her in there..." Applejack said as she hit the door with a little bit more force.

From inside they could hear her say ,"Oh, um Spike can you get that for me?"

A purple little dragon ran to the door, and opened it.

"Hey," he said, quickly trying to act cool at the sight of the pegasus who loves baby dragons. He then turned around and shouted to Twilight ,"It's Applejack and Fluttershy,"

"Oh, come in you two!" 

The two could see Twilight upstairs in her Library, stacks of books to her side, obviously working on seomthing very diligently.

The two entered, and to Spike's disappointment, Fluttershy didn't seem as interested in him as before. The tiny dragon sighed, then quickly returned to helping the unicorn.

As they walked up the stairs, the orange pony questioned ,"Ya sure look busy Twilight, Ah don't want us to be a bother,"

Twilight took half a second to look at the two when she spoke ,"Oh, it's fine, I'm just looking for a book that will help with the parade for Princess Celestia tomorrow, I'm quite stressed about it, I haven't been able to talk to her in person for a while"

"Well that answered ma question hehe, ah just wanted ta know if ah would need to produce a lil' bit more apples for the parade tomorra'. Ah have no problem with doin' that,"

Twilight spoke while using her magic to float books in front of her to scan through.,"Oh, that'd surely be great, I'm sure Princess Celestia would be glad to try some,"

Applejack was pleasantly surprised everything went so fast here, and was already ready to get back to her home and rest.

"Well, ah guess we will get out of yer mane, ah need some rest before ah get to workin' tomorrow,"

"Oh, ok girls, see you tomorrow!" said the stressed unicorn, still pillaging through piles of books.

The two turned around and went down the stairs. But right as they were about the exit, Twilight exclaimed ,"WAIT! I almost forgot!"

The unicorn darted out of her library and down the stairs to meet them.

"Do you guys know much about the traditions of this Parade?"

The orange squinted, confused ,"Wait, traditions? Ya mean this is a yearly thang?" 

"Of course! Celestia makes time every year to come down and see the town, this is my first year to organize it all!"

"That must be hard work, Twilight...I'm sure you'll do great though!" The shy Pegasus chimed in.

Twilight looked down nervously ,"Well, I really want to, but there's this one thing..."

"What is it, sugarcube?"

"Well, um. I don't know how to ask this...but...I guess I will..ok, so, I was told by the pony before me who managed this in years past, that this parade is more to celebrate the town than just Princess Celestia's arrival...he said it had one float just for...well, he said there was a float for the new couples in town..."

"Does that mean we have ta ride in it?"

"That's not all of it,"Twilight laughed nervously ,"well, at the top of the float is a seat, made just for the couple he picked to be the cutest new couple in town and they would get to meet Princess Celestia after the parade," The unicorn looked sheepishly at them ,"And, there's never been a mare couple to take that spot before..."

Fluttershy thought for a moment ,"But that would mean...being on top of a huge float, with an even BIGGER crowd staring right at us!" The shy pony flinched at the thought of being the center attention again, remembering her time as a model.

"Ah'm flattered, Ah mean WE are, really, but ah just don't think doin' somethin' like that is for us...we ain' tryin' to be flashy,"

Twilight sincerely looked disappointed ,"Really...? That's saddening, just imagine what you two could do for the ponies in the audience like you, but are too afraid to admit it?"

They both pondered this for a second, then the unicorn continued ,"It wouldn't be for too long, 5 minutes at tops, then you guys get to talk to Princess Celestia for a bit!"

Applejack had one last excuse not too ,"What about Lyra and BonBon? They seem more wantin' to show off any way,"

Twilight sighed ,"The pony who managed this before me said he asked them last year and they said no, he never gave me a reason why, for some reason, and they're not even a new couple, they've been together for years"

"Ah don't want to force 'Shy to do somethin' she's uncomfortable with,"

The purple unicorn once again sighed ,"Look, I understand...It's too late of notice..but if you guys do change your minds, meet here 15 minutes before the parade starts, which is at 6,"

"Ah'll keep in mind, Sugarcube," Said Applejack, relieved.

"I'm sorry, Twilight..." Fluttershy said shyly, truly feeling bad that her nervousness caused Twilight's disappointment.
The purple unicorn shook her head at the shy ponies response ,"Oh, don't be sorry. I definitely wouldn't force you to do something you're not comfortable with, and besides I could always choose a regular couple,"

"We we she are flattered ya picked us, Ah guess we'll sleep on it. Thank ya kindly, Twilight, but ah guess it's time for us to head back to our home, ah need some rest real bad..."

Twilight Sparkle gave them a polite nod, then returned to her preparations for the parade. The two ponies exited and started their way back to their home.

When the two ponies were almost back, Applejack brought it up again.

"So...I guess, the parade thing is up to you, darlin', because ah kinda want to,"

Fluttershy imagined herself being stared by hundreds of ponies. She physically shivered at the thought.

"I um...I don't um.."

"Sugarcube, ya don't have to do it, It's not like it's been something Ah've been looking forward too forever! Ah just think it'd be really romantic to kiss in front of hundreds of ponies..." Applejack knew that probably didn't help Fluttershy feel better about the thought of being in front of a crowd, but she knew that would help her reach a decision.

"B-but they'd all be staring at us...what if the crowd doesn't approve of us?"

"Don't be silly, Ah think they'd adore us!" Applejack said proudly, with a smile.

"Really...?" said the shy pegasus, as they entered into their home at last.

Hanging her hat on the doorknob, the earth pony continued ,"Well of course! Ah think the ponies are open ta this sorta stuff. It's not like we are hurtin' anypony,"

"I just, don't like it when everypony is staring at me...'"

"It's not like we're gonna be on the only float in the parade, ah'm sure there will be plenty of others to distract everypony,"

Fluttershy failed to find any flaw in Applejack's logic.

"Well...if you really want to..."

"No, sugarcube, what matters to me is if ya want too,"

After a second of thinking, Fluttershy said softly ,"Ok...I do, It sounds fun! I hope..."

"Ah'll make sure it is for ya, darlin! Ah'm sure everything will go fine!,"

"Yeah...I hope so!"

The pegasus flew up on to their couch and got comfy.

"'Shy, Ah'm going to hit the hay a little early tonight, Ah got a lot to do tomorrow, an' ah ain't bout to do all of it while tired. I love you darlin'" After a kiss, the pegasus responded 	,"I love you too, and, um by the way your eyes are way better than mine...anypony would want green eyes!"

"Ah WISH," The earth pony said with a chuckle as she headed upstairs ,"But everypony know's by now that your blue eyes are the most beautiful,"

Fluttershy giggled, enjoying the compliment.

"Goodnight love!" Said Applejack merrily from upstairs

"Goodnight!"


"Oh Fluttershy, what did you get yourself into now..."
