Flying through the air, cream wings flapped gently. FeatherTune looked over the decayed world. He wasn't sure where he was going. He wanted to see what he could find. Then he rested down by some dead trees.
"I don't really know this place." He thought.
FeatherTune looked over to the side. There was a cliff over to the right. He went over there. He looked down, there was a city, nopony was there of course. But lights flickered and buzzed.
"Hellooooo" He called out into the wind. FeatherTune's voice echoed a bit. He took a deep breath .

And crash against the shore
The body bends until it breaks

He sang the song that he really only had part of. Obviously he sang many songs live, but not in studio.

FeatherTune gazed out into the horizon. A dead world that went on forever. He looked down and saw a ledge that went into a cave. What could be in there?
His ears twitched. FeatherTune thought he heard something. Maybe not?

Or it was so. FeatherTune jumped, and he panicked. He wasn't looking, and he slipped off the edge. He hit the ledge. FeatherTune slowly opened his eyes. He looked back up. Then saw a pony. Not a pony, a hybrid. FeatherTune jumped again. He tried to get into the air, but failed. His left wing was crooked.
He ran into the cave for cover. In the darkness he cowered. But hybrids had got down on the ledge too. They stared at the Pegasus with their evil eyes. FeatherTune backed up into the cave the most he could. His heart pounded in his chest.
"Please... don't hurt me." Like that would help. Hybrids didn't listen. They only kill.
They got closer and closer, then Feather kicked them with his metal hoof. He jumped over them and got back into the light. The kick didn't do much, he would have to use more power. They hybrids turned back around. FeatherTune put his hoof on his headsets. He tried to call back to the base. He pushed a small button, then took a microphone down.
"Anypony!! Can you hear me!! !I'm being attacked by hybrids!!! I can't fight them, my wing is broken!!" He yelled. "I went too far west. I came to a cliff by a city!!!" FeatherTune cried. "I DON'T WANNA DIE!!!"
He circled around to get the hybrids to follow him. They didn't come close to attacking... yet. FeatherTune tried to wait for a response from his friends, but none came. What if he couldn't get signal?
He jumped onto one of the hybrids, and they bucked him into the air. FeatherTune fell over the ledge, to the ground. He flapped his wing as fast as he could, but it did no good. He shut his eyes waiting for impact.
But there was no impacted. It was an odd feeling, like levitating. Feather opened his eyes and saw a rainbow shield around him. Then he sat safely on the ground. He looked over. There was a yellow unicorn. She had a rainbow mane, that started from green, to blue, purple, red, orange, then yellow. She stared up as hybrid's leaped.
She shot lasers at them as they hit the ground. She kept firing. Then the unicorn got one in the eyes. The hybrid stumped then fell to the ground. She shot the others. They fell to the ground, paralyzed.
Then the rainbow shield returned, and it took FeatherTune with the unicorn. They went around the corner. FeatherTune watch the unicorn gallop. He was set down.
"You gotta be careful." The unicorn said. " Those Hybrid's can kill you."
"I know. One already took my leg." FeatherTune showed his leg. "I shouldn't of been so naive to go out here."
"I haven't seen you before." The unicorn told him. " Where do you come from."
"Well.... I have a base where I live with my friends, its over in the east."
"I'm Iridescent, you can call me Iris"
Feather sat up. "I'm FeatherTune..." He paused. "That's odd... we have a song called 'Iridescent'... must be a coincidence."
"Song? We?" Iris looked confused.
"I'm in a band.... that's who all my friends are that I live with." FeatherTune explained.
"That sounds cool!" Iris replied. "I'd love to hear you play."
"We don't play much anymore." FeatherTune looked at his broken wing.
"I'm not sure how you will get home with that wing." Iris said. "I can help you... and maybe my brother too."
A large, black Pegasus came from the left. His red and black mane covered up his left eye. He didn't seem that amused.
"This is BlackOut."
"Blackout...." FeatherTune thought of another song. How was it that these siblings had names of songs and they didn't even know?
"He can be your extra wing..." Iris nodded.
BlackOut picked up FeatherTune by the waist. "Hey! I don't like to be held like that!"
"Just flap you wing, it'll be faster." He said irritated.
They went up a steep hill to the highest part. Iris followed with her magic to help them. They headed out to the east.
They kept going for a while. BlackOut would get tired, and he would started trotted with Feather trotting to. It was soon sundown when they got halfway. Before they got the base. Ponies were seen in the dim light.
"FeatherTune!!" HyperBlitz called out. He cantered over to him " We got your message, were sorry we couldn't get to you in time, we thought you'd be dead... But it looks like you have some ponies that have helped you.
"Yes... I would've been dead if they didn't come."
BlazingFlair stepped up. "You guys can stay at the camp by our base, it's the best place for you."
As day turned to night, they followed the light of CharmingRhythm and Iris.
