//------------------------------// // Uh-Oh // Story: Not so Friendly Prank // by chaos2012 //------------------------------// Discord yawned as he pushed the doors open to his suite in the western part of the castle. His long day of pranks had wiped out most of his energy, and he was ready to hit the sack now. Floating over to his bed, he snapped his fingers and summoned a glass of chocolate milk. Sipping it down, he gave a content sigh, “Discord, you have the true talent for pranks.” Chuckling to himself, he hopped on to the bed and closed his eyes. As he began to doze off, however, he could have sworn he heard the sound of… ticking? “What in the …?” hopping off the bed, he lowered himself to the ground as he followed the sound. Noticing it was coming from under the bed, he peaked under… only to be assaulted by a face full of pepper. “AHHH!” The spirit fell flat on his back as his nose began to burn from the strong substance. “Ah, ah, achoo!” the sneezes began coming uncontrollably as the pepper irritated him more and more. Laughter suddenly came out from under the bed. Trying to see through his watery eyes, Discord could make out a blue shape crawling out from underneath his sleeping quarters. “Lulu? Wha- achoo! What are you- achoo! doing?” Luna was laughing so hard her own eyes were watering. Levitating the pepper shaker she had over to the counter, she took several deep breaths to compose herself. “I thought you liked a little joke now and then? Was that too much?” Discord glared at the laughing princess as he tried to take a full breath. “I never threw- achoo! pepper on- achoo! your face!” “Oh, but you put dye in our hair? Took our wings and horns? Ate my hair!? I think you had a little payback coming your way.” Trying to blow the pepper out of his nose, Discord could hardly focus. “I was just- achoo! messing with- achoo! you!” Luna gave a sympathetic tone to her voice now. “Oh my, why don’t you come lay down on the bed. Your eyes look red.” Discord had to admit that his eyes did burn like crazy. No matter how much he rubbed them, they burned worse than before. Crawling up to his feet, he hobbled over and sat down on the side of the bed. Laying his head back on the pillow, Luna came over to his side and gave a sad puppy dog face. “I’m sorry. I was mean. Let me go get you some wet rags for that.” As she walked away, she hid the grin that spread across her cheeks. ‘This is going to be perfect.’ As soon as she got around the corner, she dropped to the ground and covered her mouth to suppress the laughter building up. “Alright, after this it is Tia’s job.” She said to herself. Her plan was going perfect; Discord had a sore face, and now he was lying on the bed rigged with springs below. All they needed was a little… boost. Focusing her magic, Luna targeted the springs and pulled them tight. Once they were ready, she let go. BOING! The bed launched the spirit of chaos so hard he burst through the ceiling of his room and flew out of the top of the roof. Luna burst out in laughter as she heard Discord scream out like a little filly. Wrapping her hooves around her sides, she could hardly breathe as her laughs came out so quick. “Oh, this is going to be perfect! After all these years of being pranked, he knows how it feels!” After a minute, Luna was able to stand back up. “Well, time to go see Tia now.” She said to herself. Flying out through the fresh hole in the room, she glided over the top of the castle to the other side of the palace. Her smile faded however when she noticed her sister was there… alone. “Tia, where is Discord?” Celestia gave a shrug as she set her bucket of glue down on the roof of the building next to the open bag of feathers. “I have no idea. I’ve been waiting for you to launch him over here.” “What?” Luna gasped. “I already sent him up. He should have landed here by the way I set the springs.” Before Celestia could answer, a bright flash from the main courtroom illuminated the night. “What was that!?” “I don’t know, Tia.” Both alicorns flew towards the now dark section of the palace. As they approached, they noticed the hole in the center of the roof. “uh… I guess we found out where Discord went.” Luna stated. “No duh.” Celestia sneered. As they dropped through the hole, they realized exactly where they were… the elements chamber. Landing on the ground, they met a sight which made their mouth touch the floor. Discord was lying on the ground directly next to the elements of Harmony. Instead of his normal body was a stone replica. Both sisters stared dumbfounded at what they did before Luna spoke up. “Maybe we took our joke too far.”
