Chapter 9


"RAINBOW DASH!?!?"
"surprise" she says happily
"W-What are you doing here?" you ask still in shock
"I just thought i would accompany you"
"Rainbow this is a family gathering"
"So" she says
"Family. Gathering. do you not understand"
She just looks at you
"Hang on, Did you follow me here?"
she nods her head happily
You face hoof

"StartGazer what taking so long?" you here your Grandpa call from the front room
"Nothing Grandpa" you call
You turn back to dash
"Look dash go home now"
"Why?"
"because-"
you get cut of by your Grandpa
"Come on boy, The BBQ nearly done" he walk over to you he notices Rainbow Dash standing at the door way "Who this?" he ask you
"Grandpa this is Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash this is my Grandpa"
"Oh your Rainbow Dash, The one who had the sprained wing"
"Yes i am sir" rainbow dash say
Rainbow Dash widen when she suddenly realized who your Grandpa is
"wait a minute are you Ice Storm, former captain of the wonder bolts" she say with delight
"Why yes i am" your Grandpa says proudly
"You never told me your Grandpa was a former wonder blot captain" she says look at you
"That right young miss, I fact i taught StartGazer here everything he knows about flying" he says wrapping his wing around you
"So you did lie to me, You were taught by a wonder bolt" she say still excited
"Alright enough chit chat,Come on Grandpa" you say walk away from the door
"Well you be joining us this weekend miss Rainbow dash" said you Grandpa
Him saying that stopped you in your tracks, You turn around with your eye widen
"Yes i am" she say smiling
"Grate, it will nice having you hear" He says stepping a side and letting Rainbow in
"Thank you very much" she say walking int he cabin
You roll your eye and make your way to the balcony with Rainbow Dash close behind you

You walk into the balcony to see you dad behind the BBQ with your brother while you sister, Mum and Grandma are talking
You stand in the door way
"Everyone" you say and everyone turns there head toward you "This is Rainbow Dash" you walk onto the balcony revealing Rainbow Dash behind you
"Hi there" your sister is the first to speak
"Hi" says Rainbow Dash
Your mother walks over two her
"Will you be joining us?" she ask with a happy tone
"If it's not to much trouble" say Rainbow stretching the back of her neck
"Not at all" say your Mum "Come on and meet everyone" she say





After Rainbow Dash has met everyone and you all had something to eat all of you walk into the front room
"You know I think I'm going to stay out here for a while" your sister say standing out on the balcony

Every one walks in to the front room and has a seat on the sofas, You sit next to your brother and Rainbow Dash sits next to you.
"So Dash, How do you know Star?" ask your Dad
"Well when he first moved to ponyville he had a bit of trouble finding his house, so i showed him where it was and he became friends" she says
"Well, i take it you must be a huge wonder bolt fan?" asks you Grandpa
"Yes, I love the wonder bolts-"
You zone out because you heard it all before

You decide to go out on to the balcony with your sister

"Hey there big sis" you say walking over you Rose Beat you has her front to leg on the railing
She turns her head and smiles at you
"Hey" she says back
"So why did you decide to stay out here?" you ask
"Well you know, i just love to look at the lake" she says
The two of stay quite for a while
"You know, i couldn't sleep for Two days when you left" she says braking the silence
"Really?"
she nods
"I was scared"
"About what?"
"I thought that you where going to get hurt, That you might of been attacked by some pony in that town"
You just look at her
"I was scared by the fact that my little brother may be seriously hurt in this town you moved to" she say looking like she was about to cry
you wrap your wing around her
"When you finally sent us a letter i was so happy, Just reading about what you've been doing and reading that you were fine made all the feeling go away"
"Well I'm glad" you say resting your head on the top of her head

After a couple of minutes Rainbow Dash came walking on to the balcony

"Hey guys" she say
"Oh hey Dash" you say
"Oh, i don't think we met probably, I'm Rose Beat" she extending her hoof
Rainbow Dash shakes her hoof "It's nice to meet you"
"Your the one who had the strained wing right?"
"Yep, I glad you all know by that" Dash says jokingly "Your his Big sister right?"
"Yup and I'm proud to be" say Rose Beat
"I would be proud to have a little brother as awesome like StarGazer" she say
"oh come on, Enough" you say blushing
"So what you guys talking about?" Dash ask
"Apparently Beat here was scared that i might of gotten hurt in ponyville" you say nudging your sister
"What am i not aloud to worry about my little bro" Beat says
"Well i a sure you that you had nothing to worry about, Everyone is nice in ponyville"
"Well i did some research, and i saw an article about monsters attacking ponyville"
"Oh well....That started when my friend Twilight moved in" said Dash scratching the back of her neck
Rose Beat look unimpressed
Dash looks at you, It look like she asking for your help

"Star, Can you help us move this" you hear your Dad say from Inside the cabin
"Yeah" you say "Be back in a minute" 

You fly into the cabin, You mother points to the outside of the cabin

You look out the window to see Your dad, Grandpa and Brother trying to push what looks like a boat

You fly outside and help push the boat






Rainbow Dash and Rose Beat conversation while you push the boat


"So you like my little brother" Rose beat says with a smile
"Yeah he's my friend" Rainbow dash responds
"No, I mean like like"
Rainbow Dash starts the blush
"You have a crush on my little brother don't you?" says Rose Beat
Rainbow Dash blushes even harder
"I see the you were looking at him, Don't deny it"
"Okay yes i have a crush on him" rainbow dash says nearly shouting it out loud
"I knew it" Rose says "Why don't you just tell him?" ask Rose Beat
"Because i don't know how he will take it"
"Believe me" say Rose Beat putting a hoof on Rainbow Dash hoof "He will be fine when you tell him"
"But I've been making it so obvious that i like him" Dash says
"My bother had lots of mare falling for him but he's never noticed, He not very good at reading mares"
"But what if he just sees me as a friend?" Rainbow asks
"Well we got to find away to make him look at you then more then a friend"    
"How? wait did you just say we?" she ask
Rose Beat nods her head "Look i don't do this for any mare who like my brother, But you seem like a nice mare that would treat him nicely, So I'm going to help you" Rose Beat enplanes
A smile start to creep up on Dash's face
"But you got t promise that you'll treat him right" Rose Beat says
"I promise"
"Okay. Here's what you do"





The four of you push the boat into the lake
"Well done boy's" says your dad
"It's wasn't a problem for me" says Jack Hammer flecking his muscles
You roll your eyes
Your dad gives you look
You know exactly what that look means, You smile and nod your head

Jack Hammer was to busy focusing on the muscles to notices what you and your dad were about to do

The two of you grab Jack hammers arm and fly up him up into the air
"what are you doing" Jack Hammer ask 
He soon realizes what you to are doing
"NO NO DON'T NO!!" he beg
You and your dad let go of him, Jack Hammer falls into the lake crating a big slap in the water 
You and Your dad laugh in the air and as Jack Hammer comes to the surface of the lake
"Oh real funny" he says swimming to the shore
You and your dad are still unable to control your laughter

After you and your dad stop having your laughing fit you fly over to the balcony were Dash and Rose Beat were standing.

"Guess whose back" you say landing next to rose beat
"Hey" says Rainbow Dash happily
"What were you two talking about when i was away?"
"Girl stuff" say Rose Beat
"Alright then"



 

Time - 11:30

After spending the rest of the day swimming in the lake and doing some stuff with your family, Everyone decides it was time to go the bed.

Your Grandpa and Grandma set up with room
Mum and Dad would have one room
Grandpa and Grandma would have there room
You and Jack Hammer would have one room
since Rainbow Dash showed up she would have to share a room Rose Beat

"Goodnight eveypony" said your mum
You all say good night in unison

you happily jump into your bed and pull the cover over you

You go to close your eyes
"You know that Rainbow friend of yours is kinda cute"
"Okay..." you say
you go to close your eyes again
"But she not my type"
"Good night Jack Hammer"
"Do you think I'll ever find a special somepony?"
"yes now good night"
you turn facing away from him and closing your eye





Time - 2:15am

"StarGazer"
you feel your bed rock
"StarGazer"
you lift your head of your pillow
"Huh? wha"
"Rainbow had a nightmare"
you turn around to see Rose Beats standing there
"So.." you say
"She was calling out your name"
For Celestia sake

You get out of your bed and walk over to Rainbow Dash and Rose Beat room

You walking into the room to see Rainbow sitting on her bed with her head in her hoofs
You walk over to her
"hey are you okay" you say walking over to her
When you stand next to side of her bed she wraps her arm around you and cry's into your chest 
You sit down on her bed with her bearing her head into your fur
"Hey...it's okay" you say running a hoof threw her mane trying to comfort her
"It felt so real" she says threw her tears
"It was only a dream" you say still trying to comfort her "You want to talk about it?"
"We were walking thought the forest and" she says trying to regain control "and Slender Pony come out ans he attack us, You pushed me out the way and he was killing you" She then started to cry again
"Hey it's okay, it was only a dream, nothing going to hurt you or me" you say as she still cry's into your chest

After a couple of minutes Rainbow finally stops crying, she looks up at you

"You okay now?" you say smiling at her
She nods, letting go of you
you go to get off the bed but she grabs your arm
"Do you think, maybe you could sleep here tonight?" she ask
"What in your bed?"
she nods
"Well....i guess i could"

You lay down on the bed
rainbow soon wraps her arm around you again and bearing her head into your chest
"Goodnight" you hear her whisper
"Goodnight Dash" you whisper back

You close your eyes and drift off to sleep
