//------------------------------// // Discovery // Story: My little Chrysalis // by Fire Angel //------------------------------// Hi, my name is Jonathon, and I'm a brony. My life was great until my parents house got burned down and they were killed. I had a brother and a sister that I now had to deal with. And I barely make enough money to get food for myself, let alone two others! My job was horrible. Ever since the…ohh what did they call it…the fiscal cliff that Obama did nothing to stop. I was an engineer, but despite what you might think, my pay sucks ass, and my boss is a jerk-off. But enough of that, lets get to the story. I was driving my brother and sister to school. Yes, they are still in school. I dropped them off and made my way to work. "You're late," my boss says as I walk in. "Sorry sir," I respond, "I had to take my siblings to school, it won't happen again." "You better hope not," he said, "Because if it does, you're fired." "Understood, sir." I walked out of the office and got to work. My shift ended after a few hours and I went to pick up my brother and sister. "Hey Kristen," I shouted to my sister, "Get your ass in the car or you're walking home!" She said goodbye to her friends and got in the car. "You're an ass-hole, you know that." She gave me her pissed of look. "Hey," I said, "If you use that language again, I'll pop you across the mouth." She just looked away. I picked Justin up and took us home. I pulled into my garage; turned off the car; I walked into the house, and turned on the lights. This was my grandparents house. I had moved in when they passed because it was already paid off. But mostly because I was a total ass to them when they were alive. The last thing I said to my grandpa before he died was, "I wish you weren't my grandpa!" He died of a blood clot later that night. My grandma had passed away a while before. I wanted to kill myself for what I did. I was close too, but my brother stopped me and told me that he and Kristen needed me. I decided that I would live in their memories and make them happy by caring for my brother and sister. "Hey Jonathon," Justin said, "What's for supper?" I thought for a moment. "You guys want a pizza?" They looked at me happily. "YES," they shouted. "I'll be back in a little bit," I said. I got in my car; drove off; picked up the pizza and headed home. When I got back, I walked in the door and the pizza in my hands vanished, then reappeared in my sisters hands. "How the fuck do you move so fast when it comes to pizza," I asked. She dead panned. "I like pizza," she said. "No shit Sherlock." I walked into to my bedroom and turned on my computer. I clicked on the latest My Little Pony episode and laid back. This was the 15th episode of the 8th season. I still remember my two favorite ponies, Chrysalis and Luna. They were my favorite because they were a lot like me. Chrysalis get really pissed off, and do something she would regret. I was the same way. I would get mad at my sister and hit her, but I would regret it later. Luna loved the night sky and so did I. She had a darker side to her as well. I also had a darker side of me. I finished watching the episode and turned off my computer. I walked out into the living room. My brother and sister were in there watching a movie. "Hey," I said, "I'm going for a walk, I'll be back in a few hours, okay?" "Okay," they said. "Oh, and Kristen," I said before closing the door, "No friends, you here me?" "Yes mom," she said. I closed the door. I put my hood up and walked. I didn't pay attention to where I was going, just where ever my feet took me. Then I found myself in the oldest part of the town. The walls of the old buildings were cracked and had moss and other green stuff all over it. I saw an old ally and walked down it. There weren't a lot of people out anymore, in fact, I think there was only about 100 people left in this town that once had 50,000. As I walked, I almost tripped over a box. Said box was pretty big. Now a days I saw trash everywhere. But something about this box caught my attention. There appeared to be something inside. I kneeled down and saw there was writing on the side of the box. It said, 'Keep if you want.' I wondered what could be in this box that scared someone so much they didn't even want to see it. I looked at the box again. I then proceeded to open the box. What I saw inside made me want to cry in pity. Inside the box, that was sitting here in this abandoned ally, was a filly Chrysalis. At first I told myself it was just a toy, but then it's eyes opened and looked at me. Those big adorable green eyes made me smile. I hadn't smiled at all in over 12 years. "Hi," I said. They filly just stared at me. "What are you doing in my world," I asked to no one. She looks at me with curiosity. Then she points at me, then at her horn, then back at me. "You want me to come closer?" She nodded her head. "Well, at least she understands me," I think to myself, "But why would she want me to come closer?" I leaned down closer to her and soon her horn touches my head. Then a voice talks to me. "Where am I," she asked. "Well," I said, "You are on planet earth." "So," she said in my mind, "I'm not in Equestria anymore?" "I don't know what you're talking about," I lied, "But yes." They I saw her eyes begin to water. "No, no it's okay," I said out loud, "Everything is going to be fine." She looked at me with doubt in her eyes. She kept crying. "Here," I said. I took my sweatshirt off and reached down to pick her up. As I figured, she was freighted. She squirmed for a little bit before my body heat made it through the thin sweatshirt. She settled down. Then I felt her move around until she was facing me. She looked up at me with those big green eyes. Then too top it off, she gave off a little sneeze. I chuckled. She looked at me before closing her eyes and falling asleep. I walked back home and went inside. "Thank God," I thought as I walked in. My brother and sister had gone to bed and were now asleep, so I walked in and set Chrysalis down on the couch. She got up and looked around. "How are you here?" I didn't really mean for that to come out, but I talk to my self a lot. She looks at me, but says nothing. "Why can't you talk," I asked her. She points at her head and I walk over again. "I don't know why I can't talk," she said. "Well, we better just wait and find out what happened," I replied. I backed away, and then I got an idea. "Wait here," I said, "I've got an idea."
