Twilight was doing her usual studies, she managed To learn a large load from the new books that she had just received yesterday from Manehattan Public Library.
Spike was dusting the book shelfs, but ended up sneezing from the dust particles sending a blaze of fire, and burning one of Twilight's new books. "Opps" Spike gasped, as he tried not to turn to see an enraged Twilight Sparkle behind him.
"Oh nice one Spike, now I'm going to have to pay for this now." she snapped while levitating the remains of her book with her magic and walking towards the garbage to plant it inside.
"I can't help it Twilight, you know I'm allergic to dust particles." Spike said in his defense, which would later cause Twilight to sigh and tried to hold in her anger.
"I know Spike, I'll just pay for this, and this problem will be settled." she said walkin unhappily towards her desk in order to use her magic and gain about 33 Equestrian dollars in hopes of paying for the burn book.
While Twilight began to leave for the mail box, too place her money, Spike continued to try and dust the remaining shelfs. In which case he this time tried to hold in the sneeze when ever more dust particles tried to enter his nostrils.
While dusting he than noticed a book far beyond reach. It was so deep into the bookshelf, that he even had doubts that Twilight left it there.
Eager to find out what it is, Spike looked around, making sure there was no sighns, of Twilight. When the coast was clear he began to remove the books from that one shelf, where he began to create a mess of 2 piles, one to his left the other to his right.
After finally getting the book, Spike begins to look at the pages. The pages were known to be worn out during the years, half of the writing didn't even make sense, and some of the pages had been torn off.
"Whoa this is one book that went straight to hell." Spike said to himself only to cup his mouth with his paw realizing that he had just said the word hell. "I hope no one heard that," he thought.
Just when he was about to put the book away, he than noticed a strange looking city, on one of the ruined pages. Though crumbled and tattered, the city looked as if it had a forest of tall skyscrapers, and bridges connecting them from other cities across the river that surrounds it.
"Wow, I've never seen a city like this before, I wonder if there are more pictures of this." Just a spike was about to turn the page, Twilight's voice startles him to the point where he almost falls off the ladder.
"Spike what happened in here?" She demanded "Well Twi, I found this strange looking book, It's very old and falling apart as well." Twilight's anger once again dropped when she saw it, and used her magic to levitate it from Spike's grip, causing him to lose balance and fall into the right pile of books.
"I've never seen this book before, I wonder who wrote it." she questioned skimming with her magic through the pages.
"Good luck findin that one out, all the words are completely eradicated or smudged off." Spike complained popping his head from the pile of books that he had just landed in thanks to Twilight.
"There is no author, but how can this be, books don't just write themselves." Twilight was questioning herself so much that she was pacing the floor making Spike dizzy.
Spike just sighed, "I'm sure she'll stop pacing in about 5 minutes or so".
One long time after she is still pacing.
"There has to be a source to the being who created this book, and the writing are not from Princess Celestia, or any other pony." Twilight's pacing back in fourth for so many times got finally Spike annoyed.
"Twilight will you please stop pacing, your gonna make my eye balls fall out of my own head." Twilight stops and laughs "Spike it's only been five minutes."
Spike began twitching all over, from eyes, to arms, to legs. After a few seconds of twitching, Spike finally spoke up "Twilight, You've been pacing back and fourth on that floor for 5 months!" Spike finally cried out, hoping to get some sense into Twilight.
"Oh" Twilight said with a sarcastic grin while blushing from embarrassment, just than the door came open. "Hello Twi," It was Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
"Oh hey guy's how has the 5 months been?" Twilight asked still flourishing from her embarrassing act. "Um well actually Twi, that's pretty much why we came here for." Twilight's cheeks were soon so red, in nearly covered her entire face.
"But tha's not the point right now. Twilight did Rivera ever come back?" Rainbow Dash asked with a slight pitch of worry in her tone. Twilight dropped the book, she forgot all about Rivera, he hasn't come back for 5 months.
"No, he never came back." Applejack, and Rainbow Dash now look more worried.
"Rainbow Dash, do you might have been too tough on him 5 months ago." Applejack asked wandering if Dashie's temper was the one why he hasn't shown his face back in Ponyville's streets.
Rainbow Dash's cheeks florished red, as she grabbed her left hoof. "Ummm well I-" Rainbow Dash was soon interrupted, by Spike, who came up with the book. "What in Tarnations is that thing?" Applejack asked pointing a hoof at the old book.
"It's a book Applejack," Spike answered to get a glare from the Earth Pony, "Spike I know what in a hay a book is! If i need a schooling lesson I'll ask for it okay." This react, caused both Twilight and Rainbow to laugh a bit.
"We don't know Spike found it." Twilight said levitating the book once again with her magic, and walking off with it. "Yea It's because of this thing I had wind up staring at her walking back in fourth for 5 months." Spike said actin smart only to get a soft kick from a frustrated Twilight.
"We can't decipher who created this book, There's no Author or Illustrator." Rainbow Dash took a close look at the book, while Applejack wound up surprised.
"No Author or Illustrator, that don't make no sense Twi. A Book can't write itself." Twilight laughed. "Funny that's what I said 5 months ago."
Rainbow Dash than saw the Image of the Towering Skyscarpers that Spike saw. "Hey is that Manehattan?" The Poinies and Dragon gather around to investigate. "It can't be Dash, that there city is too big to be one of our own." Twilight rubbed her chin and began to skim through the book more.
After about a half hour, she managed to come up with a huge discovery. "I've got IT!!!" She cried waking up Spike Applejack and Rainbow Dash on the floor. "Spike honey your cute and all, but do you think you can get off my back?" Spike without question did what he was told and the 3 gathered around Twilight.
Rainbow Dash yawned while saying, "What did you find." Twilight gathered the 3 around in a circular formation, "Okay everybody listen and don't interupt me." Twilight than dropped the book, on the floor so all can see it. "This city is no where on Equestria, because it doesn't exist on Equestria."
Spike grows annoyed, "So you woke us up from a nice relaxing peaceful slumber just so you can tell us it doesn't exist here!" Twilight glares into the baby dragons face. "I Said don't interrupt Me." She hissed and continued circling them while explaining what she discovered.
"As I was saying, it turns out, that this town is not populated by Ponies at all, I later discovered that a race known as Humans populate it. There world is much older, and bigger than ours, and humans can be a mir threat to themselves. The name of the town is called New York City."
"New York City?" The 3 said in confusion. "I've got to get this information to Princess Celestia right a way-" wilight than just stopped in the middle of her sentence. "Oh Celestia, I forgot, todays the day. And we still have to find Rivera."
"I was wondering when you were going to get that out of your skull" Rainbow Dash said in frustration while hovering in front of her with a Hoof on her hip.
"But we still don't known where he is?" Spike insistead cutting in. "He's right sugar cube, you go on and tell Pinkie Pie to get everything ready for the party, Rainbow Dash, you make sure to clear the weather, Spike and I will continue to Investiage Rivera's disappearance."
"How come u get to do that job?" Rainbow Dash challenged, "Yeah who made you leader here?" Twilight added while cutting in as well.
"Here we go again, they always get like this too one another when there worried about Rivera." Spike sighted face palming himself.
"Listen you 2 It's either this, or RIvera dies, what's it going to be?!" Applejack growling stomping her hoof ont the ground. "Fine." Rainbow Dash snapped and flew off to deal with the weather. "If I find one kiss mark on him your going to get" Twilight warned before trotting out the door, and closing it with her magic.
"Finally Peace and quit" Spike said to himself in relief, only to get picked up by Applejack, and trotted out the door.
