Snowfall

Realisation

Few minutes later Snow awoke again, freezing, immobilized, and unable to breathe. Her mouth was filled to the brim with snow, gagging her and freezing her throat, and as she lay inside the large pile of snow, she began to pray to Celestia that her family and friends don't suffer the same fate. Soon after finishing her prayer she finally suffocated as her last heartbeats slowly continued until they reached a stop.

Awaking suddenly, face drenched in sweat “That was a scary dream.” she thought as she staggered off of the small, blue bed. She laid upon onto the floor, wiping the sweat off of her face, after wards walking to the near bathroom with her eyes mostly closed and put her hooves on the sink and began to look up into the mirror. What she saw filled her with agonizing fright; a pony with brown skin and darker brown mane was glaring back at her. She screamed and flew back, as that was the same pony she saw at the park, but she wasn't behind her or next to her. She stumbled back on her hooves to go look in the mirror again to confirm what she just saw.

“What's happening?” she said confused, as yet again she didn't see her snow white coat and blue mane looking her back in the mirror, but the same pony. This is when she came to a realization of sorts, this pony was her murderer, she was the murderer. How could this be, was she dreaming? No she wasn't dreaming she is the pony who murdered Snow, “Wait, it must have all been a dream then, Snow wasn't murdered it was just a dream!” she exclaimed. She was trotting out of the bathroom into the kitchen were she saw a newspaper and to her horrifying surprise on the headline was “Another pony falls victim to the Snow Killer”.

She continued to read about it, while sitting in a cold, albeit comfortable love seat in her living room, decorated with orange wall-paper and a small purple rug at her hind hooves. Flipping through the non-important pages of the news thinking it was her imagination, no hoping it was her imagination, but she found the page “A white pony, still unidentified lay dead under 7 feet of snow, with the word “Fallen” carved into her chest with what is believed a rusty knife or other cutting utensil, the tip of her hooves removed. We believe she suffocated, but we hope this killing spree has ended and think that it might now that we have 4 dead ponies who each have a different word carved into there chests, spelling out “The Snow Has Fallen” although it is vague we hope that's all this pony had to write.”

Dumbfounded at what was going on she laid on the couch thinking of what was happening, was she drunk, hallucinating, or something else that caused her to go into blackouts and murder without her realizing it? She contemplated on what to do, as she couldn't remember anything about her life, she did find her way through the house easily, like instinct not memory. She then had a sudden urge to go to the school, not knowing why she went.
As she walked along the path from her house to the school, she saw many ponies talking, probably about what she had unknowingly done. She passed one couple that was crying and she decided to ease drop on there conversation as she walked “I can't believe our daughter was a victim of that horrible murderer” the mare said and before the man could reply she interrupted and said “That was your daughter?” “yes and This is my husband, we have been mourning since then” she said sorrowfully “Do you mind telling me about her?” she replied hoping not to hit a nerve “No, I would rather not” she replied politely “I'm sorry for your loss, goodbye” she replied as she began to trot off, glancing back at the two at random intervals until they were out of sight.
