The frustrated grunts of an angry orange maned pony slammed the door shut as she stomped her way in. Pictures of her and her best friend Derpy shook as Carrot Top stomped around in anger. 'Why can't I sell anything? I thought everypony loved carrots...' she growled as she tossed the hooffull of bits into her rent jar.
The carrot butt mare growled as she read the news headline, Something that shook a lot of citizens as one of the Elements of Harmony was taken into custody by Mare-do-Well. The fancy caped hero even saved the life of her arch-nemesis: Applejack...
That god-darn, apple bucking, Stetson wearing Earth pony. Carrot Top loathed everything about her. Everypony bought her apples, Everypony thought of her as a model citizen, Everypony liked that stupid accent, she had a good family, she was an Element of Harmony, She even gets to talk to the ruler of their land. She got everything, And what did she get, a mediocre life with a slow business and a friend who's visits leave her fridge less empty.
Carrot Top sighed as she walked to the kitchen, Sighing as she pulled out her leftover carrot dinner from yesterday to warm up. She sighed at how empty her life was, How she always seemed to be shoved in the background. She wondered what life intended for her to do if she was going nowhere. The carrots on the stove sizzled as they warmed up after the frigged nap, Carrot Tops long sigh brushing them with stale breath.
Suddenly, A beam broke the staleness as it flew past Carrot Top, causing the poor mare to fall over in fright, as it hit the fruit bowl full of carrots. Carrot Top quickly clambered back up and stared at the radiating glow of the carrot bowl. laying among the orange veggies was a glowing, gold mouthwatering carrot. Carrot Top stared in awe of the sight, slowly walking forward to grasp the carrot.
The glowing root shone on, begging to be eaten. Carrot Top drooled as she brought the succulent carrot to her lips and started munching. From outside her house, the light shone outwards as laughter could be heard from inside.
Night had settled on the town with Luna's night painting the sky above. Twilight sat in the library, each of her friends looked at her as she tried to find the words. The pesky little syllables that constantly seemed to escape her right now. Each one was just staring 'I- Maybe... Uhhhhh...'
Fluttershy turned away to sob, Rarity turned to pat Fluttershy on the shoulder 'I think we can agree that maybe we took this too far...'
Applejack and Pinkie nodded 'Don't worry Fluttershy. I am sure that after a nice, long chat; Dashie will be back to her normal wormal self!' Pikie exclaimed, trying to lighten the dark mood that surrounded the group.
Twilight smiled and tried to work off the party pony 'Yes, She will be back before you know it. And we can put this behind us. But still, The town needs something to lighten its spirits and our Mare do we-'
'No... I don't... want to..' Fluttershy spluttered in between sobs 'It made her leave us...'
Twilight opened her mouth before Applejack replied 'Ya, I don' think I wanna do this anymore Twi'... I kinda get a weird stomach ache thinkin' 'bout it...'
Twilight turned her head to Pinkie who was nervously shuffling her hoof 'I think I agree with the others Twilight. It was all fun and games until we poked a Dashie out...'
'What? I only designed them. I am much too busy with my work to help you with whatever you do' Rarity stated as Twilight turned her gaze on her 'But I will mend it for free if that helps~'
The purple unicorn looked around at her friends distraught faces, 'Come on guys... We need to help others and right now, Mare Do Well is the best thing to cheer them up. I can't do this without you guys...' Twilight pleaded.
The others looked at each other hesitantly; Applejack getting up and heading to the door, with the others following suit. 'I'm sorry Twi'...' Applejack somberly muttered as she and the others left.
Twilight watched as her heartbroken friends left, her lip twitching as she yelled out 'FIne! I'll do it myself!''

The weather the next day seemed gloomy without Dash enforcing the others to clear it, the grey cumulus hung heavily above as Twilight flipped through her book to figure out how she was going to pull off cheering up a whole town from the depression... She didn't have Applejack's Strength or Pinkies sixth sense or Fluttershy's wings to help her complete these tasks, Maybe a talk with Princess Celestia would help figure what she needed to do...
Turning the corner to the market, Twilights face mashed into her book as she collided with a Red Stallions rear. Fumbling; The Celestial Student quickly backed off and looked at Big Macintosh who gazed back towards Twilight, her face glowing red with embarrassment as she greeted the stallion 'Er, Morning... Sorry about that...'
Big Mac gave a slow chew with the straw in his mouth before saying 'S'not a problem...' The short on Words stallion trotted slightly behind the apple cart as he continued to look around silently, Not saying anything else.
Something about the marketplace felt odd, Twilight noted it as she looked back at Big Mac and asked 'Erm, Is Applejack alright... Since the Dash thing and all that...'

Big Mac's gaze turned back to Twilight as he gave a somewhat solemn longer reply 'She came with me to deal with the stall this morning, Awfully quiet. Don't know where she is now... Haaaven't seen her in over an hour...'
Giving a guilty gulp, Twilight sighed 'Well... I'll see if she is around and try talking to her again...' Turning around and pocketing her book in her saddlebag, the mare exhaled a deep fog of pity before looking around for one of her friends.
Something in the alley gave a loud bang, drawing a few ponies attentions until a raccoon scurried off and left ponies to shrug it off. Applejacks tired eyes continued to gaze at it as she yawned and continued her meandering about before going back to help her brother... She still couldn't believe how far Dash would go, Committing Arson and endangering her friends life... She needed the longest talking to ever... Hell, She didn't even thing of what will happen to the elements now tha-
Another crash from a different alley... This was getting too suspicious. Careful, The apple pony trotted forward and muttered something under her breath before yelling 'Hello? Anypony here? What in the blazes are you doin'...'
