It was dark night in the Canterlot sculpture garden were Luna is walking through the garden when she stops in front of the Discord statue. She looks away for a brief moment, and turned around to see that the statue was gone. Then she said, "Huh,were did it go?"
A flash of light appeared out of no where at in plain sight was the spirit of disharmony himself. "Did you miss me Luna. I definitely missed you. I see you have returned to your night duties," said Discord. "Why are here, I thought." "Thought I was defeated by Twilight Sparkle and her so called friends. I was released through this." He put out the remainder of Sombra's horn. Luna tried to take the horn away from him, yet he teleported away and reappeared behind Luna.
"Enough, get on with your business with me," she said. "This is important, have you ever noticed that you aren't given enough appreciation. Even less than before you were imprisoned in the moon," Discord said, and he put his paw around her. " In the past I have been only recognized as a thing of fear to all of my loyal subjects, but since I went to Nightmare Night I learned that its fun to be scared. So now I am treated with respect, and you can't fool me," Luna said. Discord said in reply, "Who said I'm trying to trick you. I'm here to help you see. I have noticed for the last few months that your so called loving big sister has not let you help her with decisions. "So, my sister doesn't want to make a wrong decision" "Did you ever notice that your sister doesn't let you help her with anything." " She doesn't want to get hurt," she said.
Discord then snaps his finger, and flashes back to when Celestia told Luna to go check the kingdom during Cadence's wedding day. Luna starts to tear up over how she was treated . He makes a huge grin, and shows Luna the wedding ceremony of the real wedding. Discord said, "Now were where you during this moment in your nieces life?" She said, " I was checking over the rest of Equesrtia to make sure the threat couldn't harm my subjects."
Discord then took her to the dreadful day when she was imprisoned. She started t o cry some more and shouted, " I can't take it! Your right I have been treated unfairly, and I need my old power back. But how it was taken when I was changed by the elements." Discord showed her Sombra's horn again. "If you place this on your head on top of your horn it will become yours along with all of the dark magic that came with it. Hey, but its your choice to be unappreciated and tossed aside," he said. Luna gives in to the deal and levitates the horn onto her head. It covers her original horn and starts to transform. There's a flash of light from the moon, and Luna reappears. She looks how she did when she was once nightmare moon put with Sombra's horn and red armor, and red moon on her flank. "I am now ready to serve you master," she said. " I'm glad now bring me the elements of harmony," he said. Suddenly she went away, and then reappeared with the elements in her hoof, and gave them to Discord.
He laughed and said, "well done. Now to make these a bit more dark." His eagle claw glowed and Luna's new horn shot a beam of light aiming for the claw. That energy was absorbed through the claw and dispersed to the elements of harmony. The elmenents turned dark and the jewels changed as well. Then the elements attached them selves to Luna's ankles, writs, neck, and head. Suddenly the sun was starting to rise and he saw Celestia. "Go use the eclipse," he said to the now corrupted princess of the night. As fast as light she re-raised the moon to cover her sisters bright sun. The entire kingdom was cloaked in a state of darkness. Princess Celestia flew in front of Discord and said, " What have you done to my sister Discord?" "Me? What did I do? Well, I did nothing to your so called sister, all I did was show her the in-deniable truth that she needed to see." "You'll never get away with this." "Oh, but I already have isn't that right my servant," he said pointing at Luna. "No, it can't be," Celestia said sorrowfully in shock. Luna flew in the air and yelled, "Let's see how you like being imprisoned for one thousand years." The elements of now disharmony sparked a dark rainbow and it took her all the way to the moon. She was now trapped and has no way to reach Twilight and her friends.
Meanwhile back in Ponyville,Twilight is organizing her library when Spike enters with a letter. " It's from Shining Armor. Dear Twilight, Canterlot has been taken over by Nightmare Moon and Discord. Luckily, all the citizens have been evacuated to the Crystal Empire. Princess Luna has been taken over by the elements of harmony that have been transformed into the elements of disharmony. Princess Celestia has disappeared, and Cadence is helping me protect the empire. Please come to Canterlot and stop Discord. Love, your big brother best friend forever. Spike go and get Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy and I'll get Rainbow and Applejack. Now let's go. Twilight and Spike gathered their friends and headed to Canterlot by Balloon.
