Princess Celestia was walking through the Canterlot gardens when she noticed that the moon was still up. Silly me,I've totally forgotten about my duties! Well might as well do it now then have a bunch of problems in my hooves later on. As Celestia started to walk into the castle,she started wondering on how Luna was feeling right now. Surely after a thousand years she must be taking it all in a little to much.I might as well check on her. Ever since the elements of harmony defeated Nightmare moon and restored Luna back into her old self,she has been stuck to Celestia's side.Despite being what time and hour it was she was always there,wanting to cherish every moment with her sister.But all of today and a few days before she wasn't to be seen anywhere in sight.This started to worry Celestia. Maybe she's been a little lost....a thousand years is a long time so she might as well be confused with the modern ways of Equestria.I need to see if Luna's ok!And with that Celestia dashed off into the castle to check on her beloved co-ruler and sister.
How come Tia hasn't risen the sun yet?Princess Luna was wondering if Celestia had forgotten to rise the sun. Being the paranoid pegacorn she is,she decided to look around for her.She walked towards her watch tower to see if Celestia was in the garden outside. As she went outside though,she felt a twinge of sadness in heart.This feeling had been occuring more often now.First it was just a slight pain.But now it felt like a dagger piercing her heart.She didn't know what to make of it though and had decided not to tell Celestia in fear of her thinking she was going to "snap" again.Luna shook her head. Oh Tia you and your suspicions.Luna looked up at the moon,her only friend who has been with her for as long as could remember when she was interrupted by a loud voice. "Luna!" Luna turned her head around to see a panting Celestia."Tia!Are you ok!?" "pant......yes....I just came to see....if you're....ok...."Luna cocked her head."Of course I'm fine!But what about you?The sun was supposed to be up in the sky a long time ago!"Celestia,having already been able to catch her breath,replied. weakly."I thought there was something wrong..."
Luna was very confused."What ever do you mean Tia? I'm fine,really." "Are you sure?" "Yes Tia." "..Well...then can I sit with you?Just for a few minutes." "Sure..." Celestia walked up to Luna and gave her a small nuzzle before sitting down with her on the watch tower.After sitting for a while in silence,Celestia broke the silence."So I made something really neat while you were gone." "Is that so?" "Uh-huh.It's called an eclipse.It's when the moon comes in front of the sun completely blocking it out,all of this happening during the day! Isn't that amazing?" "Uh-huh...really cool..." "Also I'm thinking of having a huge moon theme for this year's Grand galloping gala." "That's great..." Celestia looked at her sister."Lun.....are you ok?You seem upset." "Oh it's ok it's nothing.Really..." "Lun..." "No really nothing's wrong.Honest." "Are you feeling alone Lun?" "Yes-I mean no!I'm fine just forget about it." "Lun...please don't lie to me..."Luna finally snapped after that. "Fine I'll tell you!Everything is different!All my friends are dead,There are towns where there are supposed to be fields and fields where there are supposed to be towns and it's just so confusing!"
"Lun I'm so sorry you've been feeling like this." Luna,who had managed to put her emotions under control,looked up and said "It wouldn't have mattered anyways.Nopony liked me and I'm surprised that everypony now has forgiven me for what I've done." This struck Celestia hard.Once again she had been so blind to see her own beloved sister's sadness. "Lun it wasn't your fault." "Yes it was! It was all my own fault! I was jealous of you and I was stupid and I don't see how you would care about banishing me or about me or anything and-" "LUNA!" Luna stopped talking in fear of upsetting her sister.Celestia saw that too and sighed."Lun...I've always cared about you...in fact when I banished you to the moon,I went into the nearest field and burst into tears." "You did?" "Yes.And with all of what had happened in my mind,I sang a lullaby to you,hoping you would hear it." Luna's eyes widened as Celestia started to sing a lullaby that she had heard when she was on the moon on the night of her banishment.

She watched as her sister's unhappiness grew

And that foolish pony did nothing to stop

Once again they sat in silence.This time Luna was the one to break it. "Tia...I'm so sorry-" "No Lun I'm the one who's sorry.I was a fool to not see you so unhappy.All I cared about was myself and didn't give a thought about you.I hope you can accept this old fool's apology." Celestia didn't expect the embrace of her sister. "Oh Tia! Of course I forgive you!Don't be silly! And I promise you that I will always be with you no matter what happens!" Celestia sat there stunned for a few seconds before returning the hug. "Oh Lun....I love you." "I love you too Tia."Celestia squeezed even harder."Tia you should get going and raise the sun.I'll be planning a meteor shower in the near distant future so I'll need all the time I can get." Celestia chuckled before giving Luna a noogie. "Oh course Lun.I'll see you at breakfast!"
As Celestia was raising the sun,she thought about her sister and how everything was going to be better from now on.
