In the Royal Guard

What the?

"Invasion by Nightmare rarity, wait what?" said David as he read over the paper at his desk

All day it had been slow and easy going. With attention elsewhere thanks to all the events happening int he Kingdom, life had gotten relaxed and a sense of normality had returned, much like before Nightmare Moon had reappeared all those years ago. OF course, reading the daily paper meant David often got first hand accounts of those events he'd rather not have happen. Almost was driving him to not read the paper any more, but what was he to do? He continued to read through the article mumbling to himself over the instances as he slowly rose en eyebrow: "You mean that's who she was!? You got to be kidding me! Those Elements are causing more damage, ah forget it."

He changed the paper to another article, although it didn't help that much either.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle saves elements of Harmony and stops a evil Unicorn in a alternate dimension, what?"

Again he read the article when he heard someone approaching. He looked up to see the one Guard that was actually mentioned in this paper.

"Hey! Flash Sentry! You have any idea what this mirror reality business is? Your names in it?"

"No idea Sergeant."

"I mean, it's talking about demon things, an alternate version of this world, invasions or something!?"

"Again Sergeant I don't know. Sorry I can't help but I got to get to the throne room ASAP."

"Alright sir." responded David as Flash Sentry walked off

"Whole worlds going crazy, and Discord is a good guy-ish, person, now. I think. I actually should go read that article sometime. I wonder where it is."

As he flipped to the next page about a re-emergence of Queen Chrysalis he heard something like a crack in a rock or stone. At first he thought little of it, there was always something breaking in this old palace, especially in this wing, when he heard it again, and again, and again. Looking up, he could see several cracks in the floor, the walls, ceiling, and the air. Putting the paper down he stood up and walked over to one that was hanging in midair and looked it over. It was like someone had taken a knife and torn a hole in fabric.

"What the?"
