"Twilight! Twilight Sparkle! TWILIGHT SPARKLE!!! Come downstairs!!!THERE IS A CERTAIN SOMEPONY AT THE PHONE WHO WANTS TO BORROW SOME BOOKS!"
Twilight Sparkle opened her eyes with a start. She leaped up and checked the time. ELEVEN THIRTY?! How in Equestria's name had she slept an extra 4 hours?! She should have waken up at seven thirty! She quickly brushed her hair(with a silver brush from Canterlot) and trotted downstairs. Spike was there his mouth opened as if to yell again and a phone in his hand. Twilight Sparkle held a hoof to his mouth."I'm here! Now please, remember to wake me up on time next time." She snagged the phone and assumed a professional tone," Hello, this is the Ponyville Library, Twilight Sparkle here to assist you." 
She heard something breathing and then," Twilight, dear, you really don't have to be so professional. It's not like I am a complete stranger." 
Twilight Sparkle gasped," Rarity I'm so sorry! Spike just said Somepony  was at the phone, not you!" 
Rarity laughed," It's fine, really. I just need 3 of your books on sowing."
It was Twilight's turn to laugh," Which ones? There are 27!"
" I need Swift Needle's Guide to Magical Sowing, Volume 7 please. Also I need Sowing & Conjuring : A guide  and The Conjuring of a Sown item based off Thought."
Twilight Sparkle was quiet for a moment then she spoke," Very intense studies I see?"
Rarity said proudly," I want my customers to have only the best."
Twilight  Sparkle said happily," If you want, I can bring them over to the Boutique tomorrow. I have room in my schedule for Eight O'clock sharp. Is that good?"
Rarity said," Yes that would be- SWEETIE BELLE I SAID DON'T TOUCH THAT, IT IS FRAGILE!- Sorry, erm, I mean that would be fabulous! Heh heh..."
Twilight Sparkle smiled, "Alrighty then, bye!"
"Bye!" Twilight Sparkle heard faintly as she ended the call. It was already noon by then so she headed to AJ's for some homemade apple pie. As she walked down the street she decided to stop at Sugarcube Corner for a cupcake as a treat later. Pinkie Pie was super duper excited that Twilight Sparkle was buying a cupcake that Twilight Sparkle didn't leave until an hour later. Twilight continued on her way only to stop once more at AJ's mailbox where it so happened that everyone's favorite mailmare was there. Derpy smiled and said," I got something for you too!" She pulled a box out from her bag and handed it to Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle smiled, said thank you and headed up the cobblestone path to AJ's house.
When she got to the house she knocked politely on the old oak door. When there was no response she opened it-and closed it again. When she had opened it, Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack were in the middle of a pretty heated kiss. When they heard the door slam, RD got up and reopened it. When she saw a terrified Twilight Sparkle, with her mouth hanging open, RD blushed and scratched her mane.RD muttered something about it being hot and flew to the clouds above. AJ was blushing  as she handed Twilight Sparkle a pie and sent her on her way. 
"Sorry Twi." she murmured as Twilight Sparkle galloped away, leaving much dust in her stead. 
As soon as she was gone,  RD came back down and the two lovers began kissing again.
Twilight Sparkle ate her pie back at the library, confused by what she had just witnessed. She had to tell somepony, she had to. The only reasonable pony she could think of was Rarity for some reason. Twilight Sparkle picked up the phone and dialed Rarity's number. It rang a few times then a very confused," Twi? Do you need something?" came from the other end. 
Twilight Sparkle burst out," It's horrible, I went to Sweet Apple Acres for some pie and- and I-I-I I saw- I saw-"
"What did you see?" Rarity's curiosity had gotten the best of her.
"AJ AND RD KISSING! IT WAS HORRIBLE! HOW DID I NOT KNOW!? DO THEY NOT TRUST ME??!"
"Twilight Sparkle, dear, what if they didn't know how everypony would take it? They must have been confused and were unable to tell us?"
Rarity heard sniffing coming from the other end," I-I guess you're right."
"I know I am darling."
Twilight Sparkle whispered,"Thank You Rarity, Thank You." and hung up.
Twilight Sparkle stayed in her library for the rest of the afternoon.  She opened the box Ditzy Doo had given her. It was from Shining Armour and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and was a golden picture frame with her name, Twilight Sparkle, written on it in silver. It was stunningly beautiful and she knew she must write a letter of her thanks. She got her finest quill and parchment and began to write,
Dear Princess Cadence and Shining Armour,
I am very happy with the magnificent picture frame that you sent me. I even have the perfect picture to put in it, it is of all three of us and it will look splendid with the frame. I hope I can see you two again soon. Oh, and Cadence, I hope my brother has been nice to you as your husband.  Hope to see you soon,
Twilight Sparkle.  
She sent it off with Spike and wandered about her room. She got out her cupcake to eat it. In pretty purple icing it said, Twilight Sparkle's cupcake! with sprinkles and everything. The cupcake looked good but she didn't even really eat it, instead choosing to let it roll under her bed to sit and rot. She had the books for Rarity in a neat stack and pondered over what she would say to her when she arrived. That night, when she went to bed, she had no idea her life was about to be changed forever and always.
