Chapter 4 (Never eat cheese)
You slump over onto your wounded side; you let out a slight whimper as the pain from sliding onto this side shoots up your body. “Oh don’t worry human you won’t feel a thing.” Chrysalis wicked laugh bounces around inside your head as you continue your fight for control of your eyes. “Why do I have to die for a parasite like you.” You angrily grind your teeth as you talk back to her. “A parasite! HOW dare you insult your generous and all powerful queen!” Your side glows bright green and a sharp pain throbs your side as you lay on the floor.
Your cries of pain are shot throughout the silent house. The yell slightly echoes off the walls and comes back to you; it sounds sort of like a different voice, the sad fact is you can not longer tell what’s real and not real anymore. You listen as you hear the voice in your head continue to try luring you to sleep “Shhhh just close your eyes, I promise you won’t regret it.”
You slowly start to give into her voice as she talks in a low tone “yes, sleep that’s right let your eyes close just for a moment.” You close your eyes for a moment. You feel a tingling sensation on your body and you’re snapped out of your rest, you look down you your darkened hand and notice that the arm is now colorless. The dark grey color creeps up your arm, as it moves you feel no pain just a cold tingling feeling. You would scream but you’re just too tired, you doze off again this time for a longer period. You again feel your heavy eyelids fall over your vision.
You feel a warm spot on your face as you open your eyes yet again, you stare at the glowing white mass in front of you, you hear your name being called out from the white mass but your ears are ringing and the voice is muffled too much. The white mass starts to focus and you realize its Celestia. You try to listen as you watch her mouth move, “You can’t go to sleep…you…ok? Can…you…..understand…any….”
You stare at the pony and just give a faint smile.
Celestia puts her hoof onto your face and gently rubs, you have no idea what she is saying but the warmth from her hoof feels nice as you start to relax Celestia smacks you with her hoof. Your face stings and you’re ringing stops, “OW!”
Celestia talks in a very rushed voice “How long have you been like this!”
You look down at your arms both are now blackish grey the only color is from the dried blood on your hands and your mid section glows green. You should be in a state of complete panic but you feel so comfortable, you give a low “I don’t know.”
Celestia stares you down with a disappointed look, her voice is loud and has a lot of pitched “You were a fool for not getting help sooner.”
You hear Chrysalis voice in the back of your mind mocking Celestia “Oh you’re a fool for not getting help sooner blah blah blah, I’m a princess I control the sun!”
You give a broken laugh as you look at Celestia. She stares at you for a moment “You are going to die if you don’t listen to me.” Her serious tone snaps you out of your lulled happiness. You shake your head and let out a few mashed words trying to explain what’s happening. You’re unsure if she understands what you just said but she gives a nod. “I need you to focus on something…something that makes you happy, there is not much time before Chrysalis spell is fully complete.”
You hear Chrysalis laughing in the back of your mind; you try to listen through her annoying laugh.
Celestia puts her hoof back on your face “I’m not even sure this will work but it’s the only thing I think of that maybe can stop this spell.”
You reply “Maybe is all I need.”
Celestia’s horn glows gold and she speaks “Close your eyes and fight whatever she tells you.”
Chrysalis laughs as she mocks Celestia, “Yes human close your eyes and dream. Dream of all the pain and all the hardship of this world you so desperately wanted to come back to.”
The thoughts of everything you have had happen to you flash through your mind as Chrysalis tries to throw you off your mind set. You grind your teeth as you try thinking about puppies and sunshine and the feelings you get when you eat any kind of sweets, but these thoughts are overwhelmed by Chrysalis barrage of pain. “Human why would you even try I OWN YOUR BODY NOW! Your futile attempts only make me laugh.” You bite your tongue trying to hold back what she is digging out from the recesses of your memory, she is bringing things from not just the last few months but from years before any pain you have ever felt before is being amplified through your head.
Celestia talks as her horn continues to glow “You have to find something to hold onto if this spell is to work. Think of all the reports on love and tolerance and friendship you have sent to me use those!”
Your mind is riddled with pain but you still think to yourself oh great my life depends on my writing, you try to fight through the pain for a small feeling of happiness…after a few moments of mind searching you finally decide on something.
You let out a pain filled ok to show you have something.
Celestia puts her hoof on you should “Good now state this feeling out loud; remember this spell will only work if you have a reason.”
Chrysalis annoying laugh hinders your thought but you scramble to say it out loud, “I like waking up in the morning and feeling Twilight still sleeping...” You hear Chrysalis talking but you ignore her. “… I like how the morning sun hits my face and warms it… I like how every day there is something new and different and not the same pointless stuff like I would do here!” You feel a tear as you open your eyes and stare at Celestia “I like being alive…I like laughing!” You're talking out loud starts to sound more like a plea as the pain in your side and head worsens “I…I want to stare into Twilights’ soft purple eyes one last time...Shit I even want to write you a letter!”
Celestia’s horn is now bright gold; she gives you a soft smile and lowers her head “Don’t lose these thoughts…”
The gold burst of her magic rushes towards you, the room is filled with the gold color you’re blinded by the light as you close your eye. You no longer feel a pain in your side and your mind has stopped it’s chattering, you kind of feel weightless, you can’t tell if you’re asleep or fainted you just know your breathing and alive.
