//------------------------------// // Entry 12 // Story: The Luna Diaries // by The-rogue-shadow //------------------------------// Dear Diary, The tour that we found around Trottingham was phenomenal. We got to see a bunch of ancient castles, some that I knew and some that I didn’t. I got to see the house of the famed detective Fetlock Holmes and a bunch of other places that had only recently become well known, such as the royal amphitheatre and a huge stadium that had been specially built for the upcoming oatlympic games. It was a great chance for me to do some catching up on recent history. We got to eat lunch by the docks, and I have to say, even though I never liked travelling by boats, watching all of the ships heading out to sea was enchanting. A few people suggested a swim, but our tour guide discouraged that idea on the grounds of not only icy cold water, but also the face that the water around the docks had become polluted because of ponies dumping waste without considering the impact on the environment. I couldn’t believe that the Earth ponies had let things get that bad. Before my exile, it was the responsibility of the Earth ponies to care for the land and make sure that everything was in balance with everything else. But now, it seems to be that they think that the world will just take care of itself. I had to not act shocked as they talked about it. I didn’t want to draw attention to myself and I expect that a full alicorn rage, thunder and lightning included, would completely obliterate my disguise. After lunch, the group split into three groups of five and spread out across the city, with each group being led by one of the teachers. My group consisted of myself, Aurora, Sly Starburn, who still had his leg in a cast and the other two ponies are our school’s resident twins; Nebula and Sunbeam. I have been told that they are the worst twins ever because they have such different personalities, but I think that it’s nice that they are their own ponies and not just clones of one another. Miss PrimProse gave each of us a map, although I was in charge of leading Aurora around. We then had to find certain landmarks and stores that are heritage sites. The exercise was meant to teach us how to navigate around a city, as well as to see how many of us were paying attention during the tour. SO for the next few hours, we trekked around the city, ticking off things on a list in a kind of scavenger hunt scenario. It was one of the most fun times I ever had. I am so exhausted, and I can’t stay awake much longer. Tomorrow we are taking a carriage out into the countryside to have a look at the white cliffs. I can’t wait.
