RainbowDash opened her eyes, looking up at the moon. She could tell they had been sleeping for awhile, but not too long. She sat up, looking around to her friends. Twilight, AppleJack, Rarity, PinkiePie, and.. Fluttershy. She lightly smiled, then forced a frown on her face. She had always treasured Fluttershy more then the others. She fell for her cuteness several times, but had to hide it. Now she was laying so close to her, she could feel the shallow breathing on her fur.
RainbowDash looked up at the stars, wondering how they were going to get home. She herself could fly up and look where they were, then get home in a flash. But with the others with her, she had to find a way for the Unicorns and Earth ponies to get home. Throughout this whole day, she felt like a leader. She had saved them from death so many time, she felt that she was the sole leader that was ment to bring them home. But- maybe it was just her attitude. RainbowDash had already taken notice to her stubberness, and knew she was a bit self centered at times, but she still cared for her friends. Fluttershy especially.
But why Fluttershy so much? She didn't have a crush on her. She was just a best friend, right?
"Rain.. RainbowDash?" Fluttershy stuttered, opening her eyes. She blinked several times, looking up to the rainbow maned pony. "Is there something wrong?" She asked with a concerned voice.
"I'm fine." She said, continuing to look up at the stars. She wasen't fine. She had too much on her mind, and she was thinking how she can lead the others home.
"Are you scared.. Like me?" She asked in a shy voice.
"What? Me? Scarred? No way. Nothing scares this pony!" She said, forcing a smile on her face. She stopped. Fluttershy had said she was scared.
"Hey, don't be scared. We'll get out of here in a dash! In the morning, we can fly up to see which way we should go!" She said, lifting up the pony's muzzle.
"I was lost once. It was me and my parents. I was just a filly then, and I helped find the way home.. That, that was the last time I saw them though." RainbowDash stuttered.
"What.. Happened?" Fluttershy asked, sitting up. She tilted her head in that cute way she always did. Her eyes were gleaming in the moon light.
"Well.. " RainbowDash turned away, lowering her ears. She had never told anypony about her past, or parents, but she felt she could trust FlutterShy.
"They passed away when we got home. They ate some bad leaves and.." RainbowDash cleared her throat.
"I'm so sorry to hear Dashie." She said in a light whisper.
Dashie. Only PinkiePie had called her Dashie. Then again, PinkiePie gave everypony a nickname. Why was FlutterShy calling her Dashie?
"I haven't seen my parents in awhile." She said, moving closer to RainbowDash, leaning on her. "Last time I saw them was before the Pegasus race. You know, when we were fillies."
The touch of her fur sparked RainbowDash. She lowered her ears, not saying anything, wanting to cheerish the moment.
"RainbowDash." Fluttershy began... "You're a really good friend." She said closing her eyes.
"You're a really good friend to FlutterShy." She responded, looking down at the mare.

"Alright everpony!" RainbowDash said, waking everyone up. "It's time to get up and start walking!" She said, continuing to yell, waking everyone up.
"Oh do we have to get up now?" Rarity whined, covering her face with her hooves.
"Let 's get going everpony!" AppleJack said, getting up, placing her hat on her head. "It's time to get em' up and round em' out!" She said nudging the others to wake them up.
"Let's GO!" PinkiePie said, leaping up and down.
"Alright then! Everyone follow me!" Twilight said, waving her messy mane out of her face.
"Uhm, Twilight. I think the Pegasus should lead. You know." She said, nodding toward the sky. "I can fly ahead and see." She said, leaping into the air, having her wings catch her.
"Well. Alright!" Twilight said, feeling refreshed and open to ideas.
RainbowDash nodded, flying quickly up the the sky. The leaves of the branches scratched her, taking off feather, and cutting into her. She still flew regardless of the pain. Instead of the tree getting thinner, it got thicker. The branches stabbed into her as if knives. She stopped flying, leaning on a branch. She shake her head, looking at her hooves. They were cut, but not too bad.
"This is hopeless!" She said, lowering her head. She quickly flew back to the ground, landing softly. She had tiny cuts and scrapes on her, but she wasen't too hurt.
"Well? What'cha see?" AppleJack asked.
"Nothing. It's hopeless. I can't fly through those branches. They'll saw me in half before I get to the top!" She said, stomping her hoof on the ground.
"Well.. That crosses out that option." Twilight said, scratching her head.
"I say we just keep walking! Were bound to find something.. Right?" Rarity said, not 100% convinced herself.
"Lets get walking everpony!" PinkiePie, starting to bounce away.
Fluttershy and AppleJack shrugged to eachother, and started to follow.
A few hours had passed, and rain started to pour down. Rarity slipped, falling into a pile of mud. She screamed, making the others cover their ears with their hooves.
"Mud! Oh, I'm hidous!" She whined, sitting down. "Isn't there any other way?" She said, lowered her head. She was covered in head to hoof in mud. Her mane was soaked, and tears were streaming down her face.
"I'm all for roughing it, and picking myself up and dusting myself off, but you and the others arn't used to this kinda stuff." She paused, relsiing her was kinda boasting.
"My hooves hurt." PinkiePie lightly said, in a soft, somewhat disappointed voice. She lifted one of her hooves up, mud dripping off it.
"But.. We can't give up now!" RainbowDash pleaded.
"I'm sorry RainbowDash, but everypony is exhausted." Twilight began.
"We made great distance today though." Fluttershy added in, lightly smiling, though her mane was soaked, and dragging in the mud.
"We'll wait for the rain to stop, then I'll make a fire. We could use some warmth. And some food."
"I'm good to finding berries. And I know which ones are safe to eat, and which arnt!" AppleJack said, raising a hoof.
"Alright. AppleJack and PinkiePie, you go find some berries. Rarity, you come with me to gather firewood. RainbowDash and Fluttershy, you look out for dangerous animals. You never know what's out here." She said, starting to walk away.
RainbowDash and Fluttershy nodded in agreement.
"Come on Fluttershy." RainbowDash said, jumping into the air.
Fluttershy ketp her hooves on the ground, shaking her head. "I want to stay on the ground. I.. Can't fly well in wind and rain." She say, lowering her head embarrassed.
"Well.. Alright." RainbowDash said, landing on the ground next to her. "We can keep a lookout here." Her said, wrapping her wing around her, sheltering her from the rain.
"You're a really good friend."
