Mix woke up, opened his eyes, and instantly regretted it. The light from the ceiling over head was blinding. Wait, ceiling? He cracked his eyes and realized that first: he was on his back, second: his glasses were missing, and third: his head hurt. The DJ felt around with his magic and upon finding his glasses, put them on. He slowly sat up, and remembered why he was laying on the ground. He was blasted back from the spell. Looking around he noticed he wasn't the only thing effected from the backfire of the spell. He spotted Spike attempting to put the books back on the shelfs and Twilight running around the library, glancing at books left and right, as if trying to find a password in the lines of text in the various books held in her grasp.
N3ON slowly stood up and walked out the door, trying to not disturb her. He was almost at the door when he heard Twilight speak.
"Aha! Here we are it...never mind" she said. N3ON was afraid to ask what she was looking for and decided to walk around town. He got of the library in fairly easy fashion, and without being noticed by the librarian or her assistant. he got about 20 feet away from the door before hearing a earth rumbling sound. he looked around and saw a glow coming from the residential part of Ponyville. After 2 seconds there was a huge bang from the source and the sound and glow quit.
"Thats strange," Mix said to himself "judging from the glow and the almost palpable sound waves, that was a bass cannon. However only I have the correct magic to build and operate such a device." He started to gallup to the source only to be caught in the crowds of the market. "I need to find the source of that!" he said in desperation. He looked for the easiest way through but found no way through. "It is like the only way to get through it to be a star...o no" he said. For the only way for him to get through is do to break his own rule: to never show your other self for any other reason other that being onstage or at a party.
He knew he had to do it, so he looked for a ally way. Finding a dark one he galloped in. After making sure he couldn't be seen from outside the ally way, he began the transformation. His body started to glow neon colors as his hair and mane (and tail) changed colors. He felt a slight pain on his back as his wings came through. After that was done the glow faded. He looked over himself, making sure everything was how it was suppose to be. Walking out of the alley way, he elicited abuch of strange looks. Being a halfer* had its draw backs, such as weird looks. After turning on his ever famous "eternal" glowing bands around his legs he was ready. He was now the true DJ N3ON.
He quickly galloped through the crowded market glad he now had a path through the crowd as ponies heard that the famous Canterlot DJ N3ON was in Ponyville and to make way for him.
