I awoke to being shaken. Zecora told me the Summer Sun Celebration is happening now. I thanked her for waking me up, and headed towards town. I looked towards the town and saw lights, which was strange for this time of the night. I infiltrated the town and went into the same alleyway as before. There was a lot of activity at the town center. There were more decorations then before, and a choir that birds chirping started. Shortly after an announcement was being made.
"Fillies and gentlecolts! As mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!" There were loud cheers that sounded from the building. The mayor continued the announcement. "In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sun rise, and celebrate this, the day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you, the ruler of our land. The very pony who give us the sun and the moon each and everyday. The good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria. Princess Celestia!"
'Good god lady. Could you drag it out any longer?' I thought and shook my head. There was a few moments of silence before the collective of pony voices could be heard gasping loudly from where I was hiding. Something wasn't right, and I knew yellow pony was in there. So I got closer to the building and peeked inside one of the windows. A few more moments passed before the pink pony from before screamed. After that the ponies gasped again and looked up. There was a strange blue cloud forming out of nowhere. After a couple of seconds of growing, the cloud parted and revealed a bigger, black winged unicorn. I looked through my scope, that I had in my pocket, and saw that she had cat-like eyes. They may not have been red, but I could tell she was evil.
After a moment of looking over the audience, she spoke. "Oh my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious little sun-loving faces." She said that last part with some disgust in her voice. Surprisingly after she spoke the rainbow maned pony questioned her.
"What have you done with our princess!?" After asking question, she tried to fly at the winged unicorn, but was stopped by an orange pony wearing a western "Cowboy" hat. The orange pony had a hold of the rainbow maned one's tail.
The winged unicorn laughed at the act, and asked a question in response. "Why, am I not royal enough for you?" Her expression turn serious. "Don't you know who I am?" The pink pony started talking but I could understand her. Out of nowhere The orange pony stuffed a cupcake into her mouth! It was funny. The winged unicorn spoke again. "Does my crown no longer count, now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years?" She said while looking at the yellow pony, seemingly asking her. Then switched and looked at a white pony continuing her questions. I did not like how close she was getting to the yellow pony at some points, but stayed to see if I could learn anything more. "Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" I did not like where this was going.
I put my scope away and reached for my Makarov. I un-holstered it opened the window slightly and took aim, and was ready to shoot until. "I did!" I looked over toward where the voice was coming from, and saw a purple pony talking. "And I know who you are. You're the Mare In The Moon. Nightmare Moon!" After she said that the ponies gasped again.
Nightmare Moon smiled at the recognition. "Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Than you also know why I'm here?"
"You're here to....to..." She tried to answer, looking around at all of the ponies.
Nightmare Moon laughed. "Remember this day little ponies, for it was you're last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever!" And she laughed like an evil villain while her cloud like mane and tail swirled around in the air and lightning flashed.
"Cease her!" The mayor commanded. "Only she knows where the princess is!" After that three white armored pegasus stallions flew towards Nightmare Moon.
"Stand back you foals!" She laughed some more as lightning struck the three stallions, and turned into the strange blue cloud. And headed out of the door. The rainbow maned pony yelled something and flew out. I decided that now would be a good time to leave, before the riots and further chaos happens. It was a good decision. The purple pony ran right passed where I was only moments ago. I would have definitely been caught.
"Зло это чертовски везде! You cannot escape it!" I yelled to myself "I can't believe this is happening. Вот дерьмо! I thought I escaped conflict!" I shook my head and gritted my teeth. "She got too close to yellow pony. I do not like it." I was at Zecora's house now but remained outside to calm down. I calmed down and pushed the door to opened. "Zecora, are you familiar with Nightmare Moon?"
Her eyes widened in horror and she nodded her head. "Yes I am, If she's returned then we are in quite a jam."
"How can we defeat her?"
She raised an eyebrow. "We cannot defeat her, you and me. What can defeat her are the Elements of harmony. But Celestia lost them long ago, and now they can be anywhere. Ever lasting night would give ponies quite a scare."
"So there is nothing we can do?" She shook her head. "Great." I heard the sound of hooves trotted by. "Uh...zebra daughter?"
"Hmm?"
"Would you mind staying here?" I grabbed my Dragunov. "I'm going out." She raised an eyebrow but did not question and nodded her head. "Thank you. I do not know when I will be back, but I will be safe. Yвидимся позже."
I caught up with the sound of the trotting ponies. I could see that there was some of the ponies from the town hall. The orange pony was here along with the white one, the rainbow maned one, the pink one and the purple and...yellow pony?!
"What are you doing out here yellow one?" I whispered to myself.
"Huh?" A quiet, sweet voice coming from the yellow pony said. She started looking in my general direction. I went prone and slowly crawled forward.
"Something wrong Fluttershy?" An american country accent said.
"N-nothing. I thought I heard a voice."
"This place is messing with my head to darling. Don't let it bother you too much." Said a proper, sophisticated voice.
"Ok..."
I was glad that they didn't search for me, but I was also worried for them. I had two questions on my mind:
1.) Why are they so far out here?
And 2.) Why did they think they can defeat Nightmare Moon?
I silently followed the six ponies, being careful not to make any loud sounds. After awhile they reached a cliff. The orange pony said something like the forest doesn't work like the rest of the world. I would have to agree with her.
The purple pony asked why, and the rainbow maned pony flew over to three of the ponies and said. "Nopony knows." she landed and crouched down. "You know why?"
"Rainbow, quit it!" The orange pony said but was ignored.
"Cause everypony that has ever come in here. Has. Never. Come. Out!" She jumped up, scaring her friends. Soon after the part of the cliff that the other four were on collapsed. Rainbow was quick to act and flew to to catch the pink pony. Fluttershy (as Rainbow called her) flew down and stopped the white one from sliding off. The orange one stopped herself from falling by biting an exposed root. There was one problem though. No one could catch the purple one. She nearly slid off but caught the edge just in time.
The orange one let go and slowly slid down to the purple one and grabbed her hooves. The purple one looked at the orange one with sadness and desperation in her eyes. "Applejack! What do I do?!"
There was a moment of silence and I saw that Rainbow and Fluttershy were ready to catch her. Applejack must have noticed as well. "Let go."
"Are you crazy!?"
"No Ah ain't. I promise you'll be safe."
"That's not true!"
"Now listen here. What I'm saying to you is the honest truth. Let go and you'll be safe."
The purple pony's eye grow wide and she let go. At first there was screaming, but then they caught her and she stopped.
I considered finding away down there as well but I will cover them from up here.
