Chapter 16: Murder


Why now... why ever. The Princess, the beloved Princess Celestia, murdered at her own wedding. It isn't fair.

The room was silent, dead silent. No one responded to it. It was like it didn't happen. Pony's stared as their Princess laid on the floor, dead. Lan turned to the killers, and was starstruck to see that they showed no remorse what so ever.

"Why..." Lan started to cry with the rest of the crowd. "WHY!!!"

"You see, if we get rid of Celestia, which we just did, it will be easier to take over this puny world!" The Nameless started to laugh. "You guys look so funny, here let me show you what you guys look like." He started to make faces, obviously not one person is making them.

"..." Lan thought to himself. Anger and denial. He couldn't control it for much longer.

"C-c-c-celestia... CELESTIA!!! NO!!!" Blue broke the silence. "WHY!!! WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO YOU!!!"

Why... WHY... WHY!!!

Lan started to feel tingly. He's body felt power running in the veins. He braced for battle, and shot forward towards the enemies.  His body felt stronger and stronger as he pressed on through the long lanes. As he reached the Nameless, their eyes became fear, as Lan didn't know his body was surrounded by pure magic. Magic that wanted blood. His eyes had turned into a pure light purple hue, and his body was glowing with intense magic.

"DIE!!!" Lan uppercutted the Nameless pony, and kicked the sweet spot on the human. The human hit the ground hard. Lan lifted the pony with his magic, and slung him through the door and out a window, falling off the castle.

"You, human, tell me where your base is." Lan had said, but his voice was different. Almost robotic, but with the sweet sound of angels.

"Never. I... I... won't... will... NEVER!!!" The human broke through Lan's magic. He grabbed Lan and jumped off the building, straight where the other one. Sadly he landed upright and is still alive. Lan's magic went berserk as Lan's emotions flared. It stabbed the human and pointed him under Lan. As they hit the ground, Lan's magic protected Lan as he hit the ground, allowing Lan to be face to face with the killer.

"I'm not going to kill you." Lan said.

"Well that's a relief, hey how about we go get some-"

"I'm going to keep you in a basement and torture you."

"... well that's violent."

"It will be." The magic pulsed around the Nameless and put him in a cocoon of magic. With that, the magic died down and Lan was himself again.

Lan looked at the blood stained balcony. He avoided the blood as he grabbed the Nameless and walked off.

Before Lan could enter the wedding room, he had to check in with the Royal Guards first. They evacuated everyone after Lan had jumped off the building. He was aloud entry due to the fact that he was the one that took out the bad guys.

"Lan... what was that thing... that you called a... human?" Applejack had walked over to Lan

Lan dropped the body. "You shouldn't be worring about that, worry about them." He pointed to the small crowd around Celestia, crying.

"I'm sorry..."

"Don't be. No one could stop was about to happen."

"I know..." She started to cry again, Lan got close to her.

"It's ok..." Lan shed a couple of tears before Applejack trotted back to the crowd. Lan sat in one of the nearby seats. He didn't know what to do.

Princess Celestia, dead. Ok... Lan looked at the cocooned Nameless. "The shit i'm going to do to you."

Lan left the group for their grieving, for he could not stand the crying. He slowly went to his house, not Twilight's, and took a nap. He was tired and didn't feel like doing anything, except remember. His eyes slowly shut, and Lan was taken into dream land.

5 hours later.

Lan woke up. He didn't have a dream, his mind just repeated the bloody scene over and over again. As he slowly got out of bed, he noticed his magic was still holding the Nameless hostage. Lan smiled at that and picked up the Nameless.

"Come on now, were going to Twilight's."

"Yay!" The sound was muffled but Lan could still make out the word.

"Where I will beat the fuck out of you and let my friends beat you."

"Aw."

\Twilight's House/

As Lan stepped in the doorway, he saw Luna, spike, the main 6, and his friends around Twilight that was laying on the couch crying. Lan noted in his mind that Twilight must of taken the death the hardest, seeing as it looks like she cant even stand.

Blue approached Lan. "Hey... um... let me guess, the Nameless."

"The things i'm going to do to him."

"Don't forget about me. I want my turn... turns." Blue felted depressed. The only thing that could cheer him up is seeing Celestia one last time, but then again.

Lan opened the basement door, which was never mentioned in the show, and threw the Nameless in it. The Nameless rolled down the flight of stairs, bumping into each stair as he fell.

Lan closed the door and walked through the crowd and layed next to Twilight. He did nothing but use his warmth as a protective for Twilight.

"I know she meaned a lot to you, and i'm going to fix it."

Twilight continued her crying. Lan felt the depression around. Murder was rare in Equestria. Everypony is taught to love and respect one another, not kill one another, and since the Princess of Equestria was the target, the streets will be full of crying and weeping.

help only your partners.
Destroy all corrupt,
blacken their hopes.
Live by love,
live by friends,
live by good,
live by hope.

Lan started to chant his oath. As the second one came, Root joined in. Then Blue and Zero, the Luna and the 6.

"Guys, we can do this. We can stop this evil!" Zero started.

"The Namless will fear us when we are done with them!They shall feel what we are capable of!"	

"Hm... lets do this." Root said calmly.

"But... what about us?" Rainbow Dash said.

Lan stood up on the couch. (Que epic music)

"This is out battle. From the start, these guys knew what power I had. They knew that the only way to ensure their victory was by getting rid of me. They sent one after the other and here I stand. They may have taken my powers away, but they haven't taken my will for justice! This is it boys, the day we get information and stop the Nameless."

Just then, Spike felt a message coming up. He burmped out a Royal letter and it fell into the magic of Twilight.

"Its... a letter... FROM CELESTIA!!!"

"WHAT!!!" Blue shot out, pushing people to see.

"It's to Lan." Twilight handed (I ain't making some damn war over this.) over the letter to Lan. Lan jumped off the couch and started to read it.

Dear Lan,

I don't have much power in me, so please read this carefully. As you know, I am dead. Don't let this stop you from reaching your goal. Destroy the Nameless. Teach them what it means to be a Equestrian. Tell Blue I love him, and he is now King. Root is his personal bodyguard. He is now a Royal Guard. Before you go off to find the Nameless, read these words carefully. You should know that Discord is imprisoned in stone in Canterlot. Free him. Trust me, he knows what hes doing. There is also another pony you must seek. I don't know details but he is shy. Tell Luna and Twilight and everypony that I love them.

You are a hero.

Lan cried. Getting this letter meant everything to him, but its more important to everypony than him. Lan gave the letter to Blue, which read it out loud.
