//------------------------------// // Coltfriends and All That // Story: Taylor Swift // by AidaSwiftPie //------------------------------// One afternoon, a week after the party, Rarity invited Applejack and Taylor to her boutique for tea. Twilight and Spike were busy re-shelving and Pinkie Pie was giving a baking class to Fluttershy and some other ponies. Upon Taylor and Applejack's arrival, Rarity's eyes gleamed with excitement. She said, "So glad you make it, girls! Happy that you two are sporting in this girl-time thing!" Rarity brought over onto a table a jar of chocolate chip cookies and three elegant-looking cups of tea with her magic. Each of the three mares sipped a little tea before Rarity spoke. "Taylor, I really wish to learn more about you. Have you ever had... a coltfriend?" Rarity asked. "Well, yes," Taylor replied truthfully. "But only one. It was a real love story we had. Until I moved here." Taylor had a sort of sadness in her eyes, Applejack. Yet Applejack and Rarity were more curious. "Well, sugarcube, ah don't mean ta trouble ya, but please do tell us more," Applejack said, biting into a chocolate chip cookie. "No one could touch the way laughed in the dark. We used to talk about his dad's farm we were gonna buy someday. I remember it all too well," Taylor continued, "He thought it was funny whenever I was mad. We had all night, till I had somewhere to be, which is right here. I miss him too much. I hope right now he's like, 'come back, be here', 'cause I feel that too..." Rarity was touched. "My, what drama!" Applejack wiped a tear that was trickling down her face. "We're so sorry if we did anything that hurt ya, sugarcube. We didn't know. Must be really hard on ya." Taylor replied, "Yeah, it's all kinda sad beautiful tragic..." Rarity then said, dipping a cookie into her tea, "Well at least you've never been cheated on. I have. My first ever coltfriend, my first love. Everybody knew that he always had a girl at home. It was disgusting, I say." "Yeah ah much prefer mutual break-ups, ya know. Mutual feelings can really make peace," Applejack said, chewing a cookie noisily. "AJ, please! Be more lady-like for goodness sake!" Rarity scolded Applejack. Taylor chuckled, then said, "Wow. I never knew. Seems like you girls have more sad love lifes than I do. Sorry for my self-pitying." "No worries, darling. Applejack and I find it quite fun being single, you know!" Rarity replied. Taylor laughed lightly, cookie in her right hoof. "Yeah, I totally understand. I love single-girl parties too." "Thanks for coming this afternoon, girls!" Rarity said. Taylor and Applejack in unison said, "Our pleasure!"
