What if I had made no friends? What if I decided to go into the everfree forest on my own? What if I had arrived to Nightmare moon's lair? What would happen?

Dear Twilight Sparkle,
For somepony like you, I find it hard that you did not make any friends in Canterlot. I understand that you did not make friends suddenly with Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, but after they proved themselves, you understood the magic of friendship and how useful they could be.
So, if you did not make any friends, you would be extremely lonely. Of course you would never know it as your books would take up all your time, but still lonely nevertheless. After reading most of the books, you would already be stereotyped as the old lonely mare, so nopony would go near you, thus making you 0 friends.
If you went to the Everfree forest by yourself, I am sure that you would find a way to get to Nightmare Moon, however, do you not remember the trials that could only be solved by your friends? The trees would scare you, you would've fallen into the ravine, the Shadowbolts would have blocked you and the Manticore would bring you right back home. If you did make it to her lair, then you would have been defeated, except, it seems I would've helped you. The elements would not be of use but instead I would have to re-banish Luna for another thousand years.
