Years Gone By

It has been a year since I've come to this land. A lot has happened since I've last written. I only have a few pages left so I'll try not to use them all. I recently got Zecora a cauldron. She was interested in furthering her knowledge in potion brewing. I had to steal the cauldron from a shop in town at night. Zecora is not pleased with the way I obtained it, but started using it regardless. I also the yellow pony checking out that house. I wonder if she is thinking about moving in? I have also saw the rainbow maned pony around more often. I think she might have moved into town? Maybe she's helping the yellow one? I hope so. I have also accepted this world as my new home. It doesn't look like I'll be able to go back to earth. Unless of course I ask a pony but what good would that do? Zecora and the other two have grown. I am not sure how old they are, or how long it is until they are adults. But I will continue to care for Zecora like she is my own, and watch over little yellow one since she is closer. Well that's about all, and with three pages left, I say that's good.

The only thing that happened recently that was worthy of this page is Zecora was attacked. She described the attacker as a the weird lion creature that attacked me. I have made it a mission to find this "Manticore" as calls it, and take it out. I have teached basic survival skill to Zecora, so she could take care of her self while I'm away. I have encouraged her to go into town to meet some people....I..I mean ponies......I must go now. I do not know when I'll be able to write again.

One page left...anyway, I am back from mission. Manticore is dead, and I have meat. I do not expect it to be good but better than eating plants all the time. Although the moss here, when cooked right, is pretty good. Zecora has gathered a lot of ingredients to experiment with. She has also already made quite a few potions. I agreed to help her and test some. she's calling for me know. Til next time.

It seems that taking multiple potions at the same time....is a bad idea. I just got out of three year coma. Zecora and I...had a falling out. I yelled at her and she said she didn't mean it to happen. I gave her the tree and walked out. It was foolish, and now I am without a house. I went to the house close to the forest to see if I could live there, but it was furnished and a was occupied. By yellow pony nonetheless. I retreated back to the forest, so I would not be seen. Last page of journal huh? Derʹmo! Well at least I have something read, and occupy my time with....I hope I do not think of earth again. I miss them so much as it is, last thing I need to do is think about them... I suppose I could draw, but....no paper. Oh well maybe I can take some from shop in town?

And that was the last page of my journal. I have not been through much else, but I am in good terms with Zecora again. I think she went a bit mad though. She speaks in rhymes now. Too many potions I think. After a year of spending time by yourself and working alone will do that. She must an adult by now and probably the same for the other two...or three if you count the pink pony. They all seem like friends. The rainbow maned one doesn't visit often but the pink visits more than her. As you may have guessed we are now in current time. If I am correct, the year would have to be 1991. They have up so fast but it helps when you're in a coma for three years eh? Hahaha! I wonder if there anything going on in town? I think Zecora said it was some kind of pony holiday. What was it again? Oh, right! The Summer Sun Celebration. I think I observe this holiday and learn pony culture. I will take care not to be seen.

The main problem is finding somewhere where I can observe without being seen. There are some hill around, but I would have to go through town to get to them. I would assume that the festivities would be at the town hall, so I need a clear view. I need to survey the area and see where would be best to watch. I can not be a roof top because the pegasus. Maybe I could slip into an alleyway? I do not know. I will figure something out though.

I have made into the town. I resulted to hiding in an alleyway. I have a good line sight and I can see the town hall clearly, but there isn't anything going on. Am I early, Or are pony holidays that different from human holidays? Maybe their all at home? Not sure, but I infiltrated town for no reason. I will be going back to Zecora's house now.

I walked into the house.

"Zebra daughter! You lied to me!" She raised an eyebrow and cocked her head. "You said it was pony holiday, but nothing was going on."

She chuckled. "Ah I see, that was quite a blight. I forgot to tell you the event is at night."

"You should have mentioned before. I wasted a lot of time waiting in that alley!"

"You waited in an alley?"

"Yes I did. Wait a moment...you didn't rhyme!" She covered her mouth and looked around the room like a kid that said a swear. "I like it you rhyme all of the time. It gets to me a bit." She looked at the ground and sighed. "But whatever you want to do is fine I suppose. Any new potions?" She shook her head. I sighed. "If you want to rhyme you can, okay."

"Thank you, my peculiar friend. But may I ask, why do you want my rhyming to end?"

"I just find it weird. You didn't always speak like that, and it's just weird for you to do all of a sudden."

"Ah I see. But I'll have you know it gives me glee."

I shrugged. "Whatever makes you happy Zecora." She smiled and nodded her head. "Zecora, I am going to take a nap. Wake me up when it's night time if I'm not already awake by then, ok?"

"A strange request, but anything for a guest."

I looked at her with a blank stare. "I carved this house with my bare hands! As far as I'm concerned you're the guest." I yawned. "But okay, whatever. Good night...or day." I went over to the guest bed and laid down.

Author's Note: Yes yes I know. A lot of Zecora and not a lot of Fluttershy. I'm working on steering my mind back in the right direction. So bare with me here.
