I know I have a lot of chapters already pre made for this story.... just one problem.... when we reach the end of all those... we may not have more because I have the worst case of writers block ATM
Chapter 35: A big boo boo
It was getting late as I galloped through ponyville. The only thing running through my mind at this moment was how good it would feel to get into bed. I continued day(night)dreaming about this until I ran straight into somepony and we both went tumbling to the ground. After a few seconds of tumbling we came to a stop. I was laying on my back. I shook my head and looked up. What I saw were two bright blue eyes encased in a pink head.
'...Fuck....'
"Ohmygosh your a new pony in town! I have to introduce you to every pony and throw you a...." Then she let out a very loud and drawn out gasp and sped off.
"This.... is EXACTLY what I wanted to avoid...." I said as I got back up.
I shook myself to get the dust of and began galloping towards my house again. I finally reached the door. Still only thinking about sleeping. As I opened the door with my mouth a thought came to mind.
'How the fuck do I explain this to Scoots....' I thought.
'Hm.... maybe she is asleep.'
I crept up the stairs and listened into my bedroom. My hopes were smashed when I heard Scoots voice.
"So.... dad is a... pony?" Said a confused Scoots.
"Yes... but it is only temporary. It should wear off a day after Nightmare night." Said a soft voice.
"Alright..." Said Scoots.
Steps started coming towards the door. I began to panic before heard a voice again.
"Oh! And Fluttershy?" Said Scoots.
"Yes Scootaloo?" Said Fluttershy.
"I met Daring Doo and Spitfire today at the costume store!" Said Scoots.
"Oh? Really? That was nice." Said Fluttershy.
I heard steps retreat from the door and towards what I am sure is my bed.
"Ya! Dad also got me this!" Said Scoots, a moment later a barrage of noise ensued.
"CJ got you all of these? How much did they cost.... my.... they are even signed!" Said Fluttershy.
"My costume is signed by Spitfire too!" Said Scoots.
"Really? I hope CJ didn't spend everything he had..." Said Fluttershy.
"They did it for free!" Said Scoots.
"Oh...?"
"Ya! But it was kind of weird the way they kept looking at him... they looked a bit tired...." Said Scoots.
'Oh no...'
"...Oh....?" Said Fluttershy.
"Mmhm. Daring Doo gave me these books with the signatures for free if dad said she would have supper with him. She seemed pretty excited about seeing a human!"
I heard Fluttershy mumble something.
"Um... Scootaloo... did.... anything else happen?" Said an angry toned Fluttershy.
'Please say no, please say no, please say no!'
"Yup! They were really excited about dad being a DJ! They said they were really big fans and wanted to hang out some time. But I think the signing took a lot out of them. They looked super tired..." Said Scoots.
"What kind of... tired...."
"Hmm... now that I think of it... you usually look like that when you are around dad.... why?"
"Oh... nothing important..." Said Fluttershy.
I heard a stomp as somepony jumped off the bed and began stomping towards the door. I heard Fluttershy mumble something when she got to the door.
"You had better get used to staring at the ceiling in the hospital CJ... because when I'm done with you I'm go-" She stopped when she opened the door to see me standing there.
'Shit shit shit shit MOVE DAMMIT MOVE'
No matter how hard I tried I was frozen in place. An angry Fluttershy seemed more scary than anything I could possibly imagine at this moment.
"Oh... hello CJ.... how was... dinner?" Said Fluttershy with a bit of venom in her speech.
"I CAN EXPLAIN!" I yelled out.
She nodded. "I bet you could... come with me..." She said as she walked past me and down the stairs.
I turned to the bedroom and looked inside. Scoots was looking me up and down.
"Wow dad... you look awesome!" She said looking at my Cutie mark.
"Do you want to walk to sweet apple archers with me tomorrow!?" She said excitedly.
"If you work on getting to sleep now... sure." I said as she immediately ran and jumped into bed.
"Alright! Good night!" She said.
"Night." I said back. "I'll walk with you to Applejack's tomorrow." I said turning and walking down the stairs. "If I still have legs..." I mumbled.
I continued to walk downstairs careful not to turn into another human/pony slinky until I got to the living room. I looked around and saw Fluttershy sitting on the couch. She motioned for me to sit with her. So I did. I sat next to her after a few moments of awkwardly getting comfortable. When I did I smiled like a moron and turned to Fluttershy to have my smile fade. Fluttershy was staring straight at me. But not THAT kind of stare. The kind of stare one gives when they are studying something closely. After a moment she blinked and broke her focus.
"So?" She said flatly.
"...So...?"
"So... what happened.... with Daring?" She said.
"O-Oh... listen Shy... nothing happened.... I saw how they looked at me. I am just realizing now why they were." I said. (Not really.... I already knew what the stares meant.)
"I only agreed to the dinner so she could learn about humans and for the books for Scoots." I said. "And I promise you, NOTHING happened." I said.
Fluttershy continued to look at me before she smiled. She wrapped me in a hug which I returned. "I could never stay mad at you CJ." She said.
"Same with me Shy." I said back.
"You know if something happens somepony is going to the hospital right?" She said in a normal tone.
"Eeyup." I replied.
We broke the hug and she looked at me. "Scootaloo tells me you have something special planned for Nightmare night. What is it?" She asked very interested.
"Follow me and I'll show you." I said.
We began to sneak up the stairs and very queitly walked into my room. We both went on our back hooves and tip-hooved through the rooms floor. As we continued I stepped on a loose board.
"SQUEEEEEK!"
Scoots began to stir. we shot to the side of the bed and bent down. hiding our presence from Scoots. I heard some shuffling on the bed and then nothing. I slowly peeked over to see Scoots fast asleep. With a sigh of releife we got up and tip-hooved the rest of the way to the door of my DJ room. The place was sound proof and could not be heard from anywhere inside or outside the house unless inside the room itself. (Special orders to the builders. Don't want the music spoiled!) We opened the door and went in. Slowly closing it behind us. After a few moments of being sure we hadn't woken Scoots we both looked at each other thinking the same thing. We both jumped into the air and did a high-hoof. Then we walked to the DJ table.
Ok.... may have lied.... a bit.... okay maybe a lot..... whatever just read the next part... because it actually went like this.
We opened the door and began to sneak in when I tripped on something in the darkness and slammed my face into the ground.
"GRAHHHHHHH!" I shouted out holding my snout.
Scoots woke up and looked over to see me holding my face and Fluttershy holding her sides.
"Uh.... whats going on?" She said.
I shook my head a bit trying to wear down the pain. When it finally did I looked to Scoots. "I was going to show Shy here what I had in store for the Nightmare night celebration. But since your up... you might as well see too." I said motioning to the door.
She let out a big grin and ran up to my side. After Fluttershy calmed herself down we all walked into the DJ room. I went up to the table and to my I-Pod. I switched to my playlist (Called DJ'd songs... original right?) and flipped to the last song.
"Ready?" I said to them.
They all shook their heads. "Alright then, lets do this!" I said as I hit play.
As the tunes blasted through the speakers they immediately started smiling and bobbing their heads.
'I am so ready for this Nightmare night... the shitstorms have past and its time to enjoy myself!' I thought to myself.
