Aftermath

Chapter 29

“Ow, stop moving my arm!”

“We have to get it fixed,” Tony said as he dragged me into town. It turns out my shoulder was actually dislocated, which sucks real bad.

“I know but can you just not move it now?” I ask, grimacing in pain.

“Don’t worry, we’re there,” he said as he put me onto the ground.

“Ow.”

“The next part is gonna hurt real bad,” He told me.

“Great.” He stepped back as Cloe approached me. “Oh hell no!”

Before I could even react, I was bound down by an invisible force. My working arm was coated in a deep blue aura.

“Why are you doing this to me!” I scream.

“We need to fix that arm,” Luna replied.

“But why her!”

“Because she wanted to.”

A sudden pain expanded from my shoulder as my arm was pushed back into place while I was distracted. “OW!”

“Harden up,” Cloe quipped.

“You’re a...” I began, jumping up as the restraints disappeared. My arm can move without hurting horrifically. Couldn’t say much about the rest of me. “Wow, it moves again.”

“You’re welcome.”

I looked around. The town wasn’t missing anything and all the foals are safe, though I can’t say the same for the ponies who fought. I looked to Luna who was smiling kindly at me. Celestia was standing next to her with a similar smile. Then I remembered that there were casualties.

“Alright, back to work,” I mumbled to myself morbidly as I went to bury the fallen.

*/)…2 Hours Later…(\*

I sat on the top of the destroyed hill, away from the mourning and grief. The sun was at the horizon, making way for the night. Thirty eight lives were ended today, and in this general area. I really need to hit something now.

“So, ya like being alone,” I heard a voice say.

“Yeah, I do,” I answer back as I turn to see whom I speak to.

“Why are ya up here?” Applejack asked, standing a few metres away. There was a small cut on the side of her face, probably from all the fighting.

“Cause I can,” I tell her, turning away and looking at the setting sun.

“There’s a reason, yer just not tellin’ me.” She doesn’t sound too happy.

“I don’t wanna talk about it.”

Applejack was now sitting next to me, having walked up when I wasn’t looking. “Look, ya can tell me what’s wrong,” She began, looking fairly sincere with what she said. “And it kinda looks like ya need ta.”

I gave in. “Ok then,” I groaned a little inside. Better to get this over with than let them nag you until you do.

Raising my hand to point at the plains ahead, I began. “You see that patch of land?” When I saw her head rise and look, I continued. “That land is stained red with blood. How much is questionable at best but we all know who’s blood it is.”

I let Applejack think it over a bit, waiting to see if she gets my point. When she looked at me questioningly, I relaxed a little. She figured it out, now I can go back to my thoughts. “Uh, could ya explain without the riddles and stuff?” She asked.

I facepalmed. “Ponies, little Applejack, ponies.”

She looked down, remembering the fact that there are some that aren’t here anymore. “Because I asked for help, they are dead.”

We sat in silence, the night taking the sky. I sat there, thinking over what happened today. I almost didn’t notice Applejack say that she was heading back to town. After a few more minutes of thinking, I got back up. No use thinking about what has already happened. When I turned around, I met another face.

“Are you going back to town already?” Luna asked me.

“Not anymore,” I replied with a smile. Luna is definitely best pony.

(EPIC TIMELORD STUFF)

“You know, flying is awesome” I began as we approached Appleoosa. It was well past midnight, the stars were clearly shining down on us and I was feeling the day take its toll on me. “I mean while I was up there flying, I saw everything and I wasn’t even in a plane.”

“I know, I have wings,” Luna replied

“I coulda been listening to that awesome song that talks about flying while I was up there.”

“What sort of song?” Luna asked

“Dunno but I must ask, am I annoying you?” I asked Luna. A second passed and I was back to talking. “Sorry bouts that, I sorta talk a lot when I’m tired, nervous or somewhat unhappy, but don’t worry I’m only a little tired.” We were half way through the town at this point. Surprisingly no one has been woken up by my constant chatter.

“Suddenly a wild Celestia appears!” I exclaimed as Celestia walked out of the office in the middle of town, getting a laugh out of Luna.

“I see you two are having fun,” she said as she looked our way.

“Mostly, all I’m doing is constantly talking and she’s just listening but otherwise we’re good,” I say as if what she said was a question.

Luna had stopped laughing and joined in on the conversation. “Yeah, we enjoyed the night.”

“Always liked the night, it’s all starry and stuff,” I chattered on.

“You seem to be a bit talkative at the moment,” Celestia spoke.

“Yeah, he hasn’t stopped since we started walking back,” Luna told her sister.

“Sorry bout that, just a little tired, I’ll head to bed.”

“Good night,” the two sisters said as I walked off.

“A good night indeed.” As I walked over to where I believe we’re sleeping, the sisters began to talk to each other quietly. I heard Luna jump and shout something as I entered the local inn. I quickly found our room, did a changeling and turned into a pony again. Stupid beds and being designed for ponies…
