episode 3: when the wild wind blows

considering King Sombra didn't get much screentime...I felt i wanted to give him a more... bigger role in this episode

The fog was incredibly thick, so think you could hold your arm out and not see your fingers. I had untied the scabbard off the belt, and began to use it as a blind-man’s stick. I fell down what could be described as a basin of some sort, my vision cleared.
Looking around I could hear the screams of worried ponies, attempting to find one and other in the dense fog. I heard a voice shout out “where’s my muffin? Dinky Doo, Where are you?” I welcomed the voice, a certain mail-mare of PonyVille.
I suddenly felt a dark chill in the air. Looking up I saw a ghostly apparition of things to come.
I saw a deadly, ghastly white horse with glowing red eyes seemingly running on air. I felt the icy glare of the being, chilling me to the core.

It shot down towards me and spoke “you,” the beast’s mouth never moved “are not of this world”
I rolled my eyes, drawing my blade from the scabbard. “Neither are you in-case you haven’t noticed” I retorted. The blade shimmered in the light, I plunged my blade through the strange being’s chest, but no blood was drawn. The being reared itself up, and brought its hooves down upon me.

Total darkness was all I saw.
I had not come this far to die now.

Luckily for me, Shining Armor was there to pull my ass out of the fire. I rolled out of the way of the shadowy fog.
As Shining charged a spell aiming for the strange shadow, he was engulfed. I picked up the sword to attempt to drag him out of the shadows. he was promptly launched towards the newly resurrected Empire of crystal Ponies.

I gritted my teeth and strung together a quick chant. the sword lit up with a light spell. as the light danced along the blade, I took a deep sigh. I swung once again for the strange entity. It was a temporary solution. I began to run towards the barrier. but was soon caught off guard once again by the strange entity. saying nothing, I simply placed the sword back in its scabbard.

i closed my eyes and waited for the swift flight into the barrier. i felt myself hitting a large crystal pillar. as i landed next to the others who looked ever so slightly concerned for my well-being, Applejack finally voiced her concern. "what the hay was that?" she looked over to Twilight, who simply shrugged. I simply stood up and stretched, several vertebrae clicking in my back in the process. I began to unceremoniously scratch my beard in an attempt to think. "Twilight, you remember what Celestia told you about this place?" Twilight upon hearing her name and this little question looked as though a great weight had begun to press down on her shoulders. "yes" she stated sounding slightly worried.
"well then, lets go, we don't want to keep Cadence waiting" I chuckled.

I began to head for the castle, Ignoring the worried stares of the Crystal ponies, considering they had not heard of a human before, they simply ran back to their respective homes and hid. "Well, so much for the welcoming committee" i sighed, nearing the castle doors.
