//------------------------------// // Pinkie Pie the Hero Chapter 2 // Story: Pinkie Pie the Hero // by Remi-Chan //------------------------------// As soon as the train stopped in Ponyville, Pinkie practically flew out of the train car. She sprinted all the way across town and into Sweet Apple Acres, where their clubhouse was located. Shoving the door open, she found the Crusaders on the floor, huddled together over a piece of paper and discussing things. “Girls!” The young ponies jumped at Pinkie’s sudden appearance. “I’m going to need your help!” “What’s the problem?” Sweetie Belle asked, expecting to be asked to help her make cupcakes. But that wasn’t her reply. “Queen Chrysalis is back!” The fillies’ eyes widened, but let Pinkie continue. “She took Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow, Twilight, and Fluttershy. We need to venture deep into the Everfree Forest and climb the most dangerous mountain in all of Equestria to save them! Please help me, I can’t do it alone!” Pinkie wasn’t using her normal energetic voice, which confused the fillies. They agreed, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom rather hesitantly, and started packing for their long adventure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Um...Chrysalis? Why did you... um... take us away from home? I need to feed Angel,” stuttered Fluttershy in a scared tone. “Who cares about your dumb little rabbit?” screamed the changeling queen at the frail pegasus. Fluttershy cowered at the monstrosity of the queen’s voice. “Hey! Be nice to her! How would you like it if--” The queen smacked her hoof over Rainbow Dash’s mouth. “How would I like it if what? What could a little pegasus like you do to me? Throw a pebble?” The queen laughed at her incredibly lame joke. Rainbow Dash rolled her magenta eyes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The four ponies walked towards the entrance of the Everfree Forest. Sweetie Belle stopped just before the entrance. “What’s wrong Sweetie Belle?” Apple Bloom inquired with concern. “It’s just, it’s dangerous in there,” Sweetie Belle responded, shivering. “It’s not as bad as it seems. It’s just... um... dark?” Apple Bloom comforted, blurting out the first thing that popped in her mind. Sweetie Belle didn’t move an inch. “Ugh! It’s just dark? How is that supposed to make her feel better?” Scootaloo grimaced, questioning Apple Bloom’s poor attempt at comforting the unicorn filly. “It’s just the first thing I thought of, okay? I didn’t know what to say!” Apple Bloom pouted. Scootaloo rolled her eyes. Pinkie walked up to Sweetie Belle and sat down next to her. As she consoled the filly, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo continued to argue. “Come on. Please?” Pinkie begged. Sweetie Belle finally stood up and followed the others. After walking for what seemed like hours, they came to a tall mountain. “Is this where we need to be?” asked Sweetie Belle, feeling a tad better than she did earlier. Pinkie nodded her head and began to walk forward. The others followed slowly. Halfway up the mountain, it began to rain. At first it was just a few small drops, but then it rained so hard you couldn’t see two inches in front of you. Sweetie Belle looked to her left and saw an opening. “Let’s go in here!” she called. The others spotted her and followed. The opening belonged to a large cave. The group trotted a bit deeper in. It was rather dank, and completely empty. Pinkie looked around and saw an unusual rock. When she picked it up, the wall on her left came up. “Woah!” she shouted. The now open wall lead to a long hallway. On the walls of the hall, there were large crystals. The three fillies stared in awe. Pinkie began to run down the hall, not thinking about what may be waiting for her on the other side. “Pinkie! Wait up!” Scootaloo yelled towards the mare. There was no response. The fillies had no choice but to follow her. Pinkie finally stopped and waited for them at a wooden door. When they finally caught up to her, she attempted to open the door. No such luck. “Uh.. Pinkie?” Apple Bloom was pointing to a button on the wall. ”There’s a button.” Pinkie pushed the button, not thinking of any consequences, and stepped back. The wide doors opened and Pinkie saw Twilight standing on the far side of the room. Twilight was beckoning for Pinkie and the fillies to come forward. They ran forward. As they stood in front of Twilight, green flames surrounded them. Pinkie immediately knew what was going on. This isn’t Twilight, it’s Queen Chrysalis! Pinkie thought. Pinkie closed her eyes, scared of what was going to happen and began to scream with the Crusaders. When she opened her eyes again, she wasn’t where she was earlier. She didn’t even know where she was. “Pinkie! Where are you?” Sweetie Belle asked frantically, searching for a sign of her pink friend. "Oh no," Apple Bloom gasped, "We lost Pinkie Pie!"
