The Worst Night Ever

Chapter One

"Are you almost ready? We need to leave soon! Don't you know how big the crowd is gonna be to see the Wonderbolts?" Twilight rolled her eyes. That was the fifth time Rainbow had complained.
"Rainbow Dash!" Rarity blurted, shocked at the statement. "You can't possibly expect a lady like myself to rush, can you? I want to make a good impression on my Prince." Having the opppurtunity to meet him meant all of Equestria to her, and someday they would marry, and she could become a princess, a role which Rarity knew she could play. Although she may not have been as educated as Twilight, she would make a positively gorgeous addition to the royal family.
"Whatever," Dash said casually. "I'm gonna go get me a flying session. Catch you later!" "Heavens no!" Rarity exclaimed, "I will simply not have you messing up your mane. Now if you would be a dear, get away from that window." Smirking, Rainbow playfully approached to the window. She prepared to take off. "You. Wouldn't. Dare," Rarity warned. "Watch me," Dash replied, mischeaviously. By the time she had taken off and reached the window, Applejack already had a lasso around her ankle.
"I'm sorry nellie, but Rarity's right. We oughta stick here a while," she said. "Alright," Rainbow replied, looking disappointed. Rarity couldn't believe that she wanted to go fly, with no time to waste! That was so...so...uncouth!
Time passed. With persuasion from Spike and the others, Rarity was convinced that she was ready. They loaded into the carriage, anxious for the night ahead.

Meanwhile, in Canterlot, Blueblood was preparing himself. He was a humble bachelor, and he hoped that would change tonight. He walked to a window, and looked down on the city, daydreaming of the night ahead. In his dreams, he did not notice he had a guest in the room.
With a devilish smile, King Metamorphosis summoned his magic. Blueblood, still caught up in his daydream, did not notice the green flames engulfing him until it was too late. With the deepest voice imaginable, just before the Prince was gone, Metamorphosis simply said, "Well, well, well, what a shame. I guess that it must be I who goes to Gala in your place. What a shame!" Shocked, Blueblood furiously tried to get out of the spell. But he was gone.
Releasing a grave laugh, Metamorphosis looked to Blueblood's vanity. He noticed right away that he had no filly friend. "I guess I can change that," he said, morphing into the prince. "Some filly is going to be very lucky," as he grabbed a diamond ring from the drawer.
