Sweet Apple Acres ( East Field)

Applejack grunted as she bucked the 10th apple tree today, making apples from it fall into a wagon. She grabbed the rope and pulled it to the next one when she saw something odd with it. 
"What in Equestria...?" 
the Apple tree was missing it's apples and not just for that tree but for every other tree in it's row. She looked around and found some... interesting clues: broken branches, big footprints as big as her head, crushed fruit, and claw marks on the trees.
"Now what could've done all this?" A.J. muttered, touching the claw marks. They were hot so whoever made them must still be nearby.
"Applejack!" Twilight called out. A.J. looked to her right and saw Twi and Dash running to her.
"Twilight? Rainbow? Sorry, but i'm busy. Think I got some varmints. There's broken branches, crushed apples..." she knocked on the tree. "Mysterious claw marks." 
Twi and Dash looked and saw the claw marks. "I think we have the same problem." Dash said.
"Problem?"
"Dash says she saw a Dragon fighting a Manticore. The Manticore stung it but the dragon was still attacking and--"
A.J. heard something off and stopped Twi. "Wait wait wait. How can a Dragon still be alive by a Manticore sting? They're allergic to that kind of poison."
"If you'll let me finish..." a little peeved Twi said. "From what Dash told me, the dragon breathed fire on the Manticore and killed it."
"But it wasn't ordinary fire." Dash interrupted. "It was blue and created a HUGE explosion that destroyed the area where they fought. I was lucky to get away before it got me too. But I think it followed me."
"Followed you?!" Applejack said in worry. "So it's here now?!"
"we think so but it didn't destroy buildings or anything. Far as we know, the poison killed it already."
"But it left quite a few clues." Twi said. "It shredded a bush like it was paper and..." she used her magic to bring out the envelope and pull out the scale. "Left this thing behind."
Applejack, letting curiosity get the better of her, grabbed the scale. "It lost a scale?"
"And that's not all." Twilight pulled out a vial containing hair. "We found wheel tracks with hair in them." concentrating, Twilight pulled out a single strand; a piece of red hair that looked familiar to our apple pony. "Recognize it?"
"That's Applebloom's." A.J. said, recognizing it instantly.	"So, wait, she saw it?"
"Saw it. or helped it. the tracks lead here. if Applebloom helped it, she probably hid it in the barn."
Applejack thought back to yesterday and this morning, trying to remember anything out of the ordinary. "now that you mention it, i did hear some weird growling coming from a haystack. and Applebloom was insistent i don't go in. she's been acting weird since she got back from crusading with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. they must know something about this."
before Rainbow Dash could get a word in, a loud roar echoed though the apple woods; sounded more like a honk. 

"Think that's our draconic friend?" Dash asked. 
"One way to find out." Twi said as she ran towards it. A.J. and Dash followed after her.

back at the clubhouse, Godzilla had settled down and took a nap. when the roar reached him, it caused memories of his past life to emerge in his dreams.

the Trio reached the clearing where they heard the roar and discovered a large armadillo smashing his tail around. This one had dark black scales, sharp claws, a horn on its nose, a tail with a large spiked ball, and its back was covered with spikes.
"That him, Dash?" A.J. asked.

"no. not even close."
the monster roared, curled up into a ball, and rolled towards them. Rainbow flew up and Twi and A.J. jumped to the side to avoid it. the armadillo rammed into a hill, rolling up it a few feet before jumped off and turning back into a animal in mid-air, landing on it's feet.
"This thing is gonna be a challenge." A.J. panted. the monster roared and charged at them like a bull. Dash quickly looked around for something to use and found it. she quickly flew over to a appletree, pulled back on t branch as hard as she could, waited for the opportune moment, and let it go, smacking the monster in the head. the monster yelped in pain as it rubbed it's snout in the dirt.
"Oh now you've done it!" the armadillo angrily said. the trio looked at each other with confused faces. it can talk? "You will all feel the mighty power of The MIGHTY ANGUIRUS."
Anguirus? who the heck is Anguirus? they never heard of any animal like that before. that thought raced though Twi's mind but A.J. had another one in mind. "Are you the one who's been stealing my apples?"
Anguirus looked up at the orange... thing and scoffed "Steal? i never steal. i just needed some food for me and my allies." he walked over to another tree as the trio looked at each other. "Now, if you'll excuse me." he rammed a tree with his back, causing apples to fall and land on his spikes. 
" 'EY!" Applehack angrily walked over. "That is stealing!"

Anguirus snorted and swung his tail, A.J. went to duck but that's what he was hoping for. "Psych!" he powered up and  used his Ultra Roar, his signature atomic blast, and aimed at Applejack. he let it loose, sending Applejack right into a tree. as he did that, he picked up a all-too familiar scent and got really angry.
"Applejack!" Dash and Twi exclaimed as they ran over. Anguirus stepped between them and their friend and snarled. "where is he?" he? now what was he talking about? anguirus placed his spiked tail over Applejack's head and slowly lowered it. "where is the King?"
