Jim Morrison The bi-pedal creature slowly turned his head to the right, spying the vast open landscape. He needed to get higher so he can find the nearest town to gather information about this land. Without hesitation, he started going up the mountain side. The blood started to flow though his body as he escalated the rocky terrain, minding the loose rocks. His head would scan his surroundings, looking for any signs of danger or any towns. After ten minutes of climbing, he reached the peak of the large mountain. Sucking in the sweet air, he scanned the world below. Just below him was a large castle that started in the middle of the mountain and finishing close to the top. The castle was large and had many towers that were painted with white, purple and gold. The alien also saw numerous waterfalls that appeared on the face of the mountain, and was directed east of the castle. The water fell straight to the bottom where a river had form, snaking towards a small village that was about an estimate one-hundred klicks away. His attention however, was drawn to the castle. He slowly crouched to the ground and stared at the medieval-like city. “If I was the king and queen, I would be in that castle. And knowing them, they will be at the highest point.” He thought, using his hand to point out the largest tower. Then a problem occurred; the said tower was far away, being on the very edge of the castle. He cursed under his breath. “Looks like I will have to get all the way down there, sneak through and take them out. And my trusty G36KV will do just the trick.” He grinned behind his hooded jacket. His thrill to kill skyrocketed and he was shaking all over. “I can’t wait to see your blood flow freely you bastards,” He spoke out loud, slowly standing and then he shouted to the world “We will have our justice!” Quickly after he said that, he started his decent towards the city. Princess Celestia’s ears perked up. She swore she just heard a voice. She soon shrugged it off after a while, thinking that it was in her head. The princess sat on her throne, looking at the empty room. The only other ponies in the room along with her were the golden clad unicorn guards but you could pass them off as statues. “Guards?” He soothing voice cooed out, grabbing the two guard’s attention. “Yes your highness?” One guard answered as his partner stood in interest. “Did you hear that noise just a few seconds ago?” She might have shrugged it off, but she had to be sure. “Nay your highness.” The guard said, looking at the other guard. The unicorn shook his head, denying as well. “Ok, thank you.” She sighed in relief as she shifted her weight to get comfortable. The guards nodded and resumed their positions beforehand. The bi-pedal creature leapt from one roof to another, being silent like a snake hunting its prey. His anger had tenfold when he had started his search for the royals; he had discovered that ponies were everywhere. Earth ponies scattered the ground among the Unicorns while the Pegasus roamed around the sky. If it wasn’t the darkness of the moon that consumed the land, he would have been spotted and that would not be pretty for anyone. He stopped on the last house that was closest to the large tower which he assumed where the king and queen stayed. A large wall obstructed anyone to view what’s inside. The alien guessed the height of the wall was three meters. Beside the wall was a graveled path were ponies trotted along, offering the alien no chance to cross. He had to think; Where to go from here? What are the consequences of doing so? What’s more effective? He suddenly retreated back behind a nearby chimney as two golden armored Earth ponies unhurriedly marched underneath him. “Royal guards.” He snarled as memories came back, and none of them were good. His right hand had left the grip of the rifle to the right side of his waist, slowly grabbing a handle of an item. He leaned out to locate the guards and saw none. His hand released the grip on his waist and placed it back on the handle of the rifle. “Ok, behind that wall is the castle where hopefully the royals are. So instead of charging headfirst into a shitstorm, I should take to the left and go around. Once there, get on top of the building, scale to the top and with two shots, vengeance will be served.” He grinned in his hood as he planned his assassination. After a while, the street became clear as a Unicorn had taken a left into another street. The alien took the chance, jumped down and sprinted across. The bag bounced on his back as he dashed across the now-deserted path. As soon as he got close to the wall, he placed his right foot on the wall and pushed up. His left hand shot up and grabbed the edge of the wall. Using his feet, he hoisted himself up and over behind the wall. Instantly, he darted towards the side of the castle. By now, his heart was pounding against his chest as he ran across the field. Bushes lined against the tower, giving the creature a hiding point. He slowed down to a jog and slipped into the bushes. And it was good timing. A lone royal guard turned around the corner of the edge of the tower. It trekked across the green grass where the being once stood. The creatures thirst for blood had became unbearable, and he had just found his source reliever. Said being quietly placed his rifle against the wall, slipped his right hand to his waist and pulled out a twenty five centimeter blade. It was patterned with black and grey with one sharp edge while the other side had a serrated edging. A small symbol was printed on the face of the blade. It was traced in red of two wings that spread out with a dagger in the middle. Underneath the image was wording. It said “Who dares wins”. He grabbed the bush in front of him and rustled it trying to grab the guard’s attention. It worked. The pony stopped in mid stride and turned its head towards the noise with an eyebrow raised. It began to walk to the bush where the bi-pedal being was crouched, its blade in a jabbing position. The creature held his breath as it gained distance between each other. The guard is so close now; he could hear its breathing. With that, his muscles tensed. “He—” the guard never got to finish. The being sprang from the bushes with the knife going forwards, aiming for the guard’s neck. It entered though the guard’s throat, flooding its lungs with blood. The only sounds that came out of the guard’s mouth were gurgles and the flowing of blood. The murderer grabbed the pony and dragged it in the bush. He pulled out the blade from its throat and rammed it in its heart, instantly killing the pony. The being ripped out his knife, wiped it on the dead ponies coat and sheathed it. He turned to his rifle and reached for it. Suddenly, a spike of pain stabbed inside of his brain. He clutched his head and before he knew it, his vision went white. Flashback Dust plumed into the sky, casting a deathly grey shadow over his prone body. He could smell the sulfur and gunpowder from the explosions around him. BOOM! A distant explosion rocked underneath him while a fiery ball shot up in the air. He slowly got to his feet, dismissing the excruciating pain all around his body. He wanted to scream in pain and in shock, but he had no voice. The constant ringing from the explosions didn’t help him try to think. All around him was like a war zone; his friends lying on the ground, dead to the world. Sides of buildings were destroyed by explosions and others were reduced to ruble. Children were crying and fleeing the loud conflict. The disorientated man saw one child dragging another child that had no legs with him. A trail of dark blood followed with him as he dragged the other student away. Fresh tears ran down his face as he saw the event unfold. PWOFF! His head slowly turned to the left and saw a pink plume of smoke burst out from the other side of the school. He suddenly knew that his best friend was there. With slow movements, he stalked to his destination. He clutched his left arm with his right hand in an effort to stop the bleeding. The ground underneath was cracked and had large holes from unknown reasons. The man looked up and saw a V-formation of Pegasus in the sky, making him believe that they were the cause of the destruction. As he trekked, his hearing was coming fro and he now can hear the screams of the children and teenagers. Some were wails of despair and mixed with cries of pain. It was so intense that anyone would’ve heard it from America. He gripped his schooling shirt and ripped it off, exposing his chest and fresh wounds. The shirt that once was a symbol of the school was nothing more than a rag with rips and dirt. He placed the ruined shirt on his wound and tied a knot with his teeth. Now the wound was covered, he walked to the now-dying pink smoke. Then he heard noise. It sounded like a horse trotting on concrete, but brushed the sound off, thinking that it was something else. He then took the right turn— --and stared. The building had collapsed on an angle, spraying debris across the ground. But that’s not what got him. In the fallen wood and rocks was a body. It was facing down on the ground with the rubble on his legs and back. Its brown hair was damped with red blood and pooling onto the ground. And in the middle of the puddle was a necklace. A Ying and Yang symbol that now is cracked in the middle. The man instantly knew who it was. It was his best friend. “Shit, Chad!” He was surprised that his voice was working. But never the less, he ran to his fallen comrade, pushing away the rocks and plaster. “Come on mate, we have to—” He stopped in mid sentence. As soon as he shifted the last stone, his face went green and his eyes went wide. Chad; who once was at tall as him was reduced to half. From the middle of his back down was gone, leaving behind his intestines and lots of blood. The man turned his head and vomited from the site. His best friend, his brother, amigo is dead. The teen cried hard in remorse of his friend, forgetting everything around him. Warm tears fell freely from his blue eyes onto the pool of blood underneath. He timidly grabbed his mates head and looked at his face. The teen’s eyes were wide with blood leaking out of the corners, almost like tears. His irises were in full extent, further proving that he is deceased. Chad’s mouth was agape with a few teeth missing, more blood escaped from his mouth. Chad’s once playful and childish face was now something from a nightmare; one that the teen cannot wake up. The teen clutched his head and cried to the skies, demanding them his brother back. “Kylar?” A voice yelled out, snapping the teen from his cries. The teen now named Kylar turned his head to look behind himself. In front of him was them. It was a pony. But to be precise; it is a earth pony. It had a orange coat with a red mane that flared around his head. Its green eyes stared at the crumbled teen in front of him with remorse. Kylar knew that voice from anywhere, “Joseph?” His voice croaked. “Yeah man, it’s me.” He responded while nodding to the distraught teenager. “Wh—what happened?” Kylar asked, holding Chad’s head closer to his naked chest. His blood coated the front of his light skin, but he didn’t seem to notice. “They attacked bro, they bombed us with… Bombs and this pink stuff.” He wanted to continue, but the look in Kylar’s eyes stopped him from progressing. He thought he saw the pits of hell and a spot was reserved for him. “You… You did this…” Kylar’s voice was low and a finger was pointing to Joseph. His breathing was becoming heavy and his eyebrows were furrowed deeply. He dropped Chad’s head as he slowly stood up. Chad’s head hit the puddle of blood, spraying blood across Kylar’s black cargo pants. Joseph started to panic as he saw the murderous eyes coming towards him. “Hey man, it wasn’t me. It was them mate, it was them!” He tried to reason with the enraged student. Kylar didn’t seem to hear him because he kept saying over and over again, “You did this…” Joseph began to walk backwards in a desperate way to leave but couldn’t. His green eyes were locked with blue as he stalked him. A wild snarl worked on Kylar’s lips as he got into reaching distance. The pony had backed himself to a wall. He was trapped now. “You fucking scumbags kill him…” He growled as he lifted his bloody hand to Joseph. And with a quick thrust, he grabbed his neck and squeezed his wind pipe. “K—Kyla—Kylar?!” He gasped while trying to use his hoofs to released himself from the human. “Die.” With that said, Kylar squeezed harder and with a violent yank, he ripped his throat out from his neck. Blood sprayed out from the wound, covering Joseph’s and Kylar’s face in red, sticky liquid. Joseph’s eyes were wide and were staring at Kylar’s dull blue eyes. His dirty blonde hair was covered in red and brown as it swayed in the breeze. After a few seconds, Joseph's eyes rolled to the back of his head and his body went limp. The pony is dead to the world. Kylar huffed and tossed the body and the Trachea away. He stared at the discarded body and turned to his dead friend and said, “For you mate.” Flashback ended Kylar snapped out of his memory, wondering where that one came from. And to astonishment, he had made it up the tower with little difficult. He was now in a garden with different types of statues, plants and vegetation. There was also a fountain in the middle of the lush green patch. “What the hell?” He said quietly to himself as he looked behind himself. He remembered reaching for his G36KV, and then he was here. What about the guards? Did they notice him? What happened? “Don’t worry about it, you’re here and safe.” He thought as he slowly sneaked across the garden. There were no guards in the area and the moon was at its peek. He soon spotted the castle where the tower sprouted. He had walked around the building from the start of the walk when he could’ve just climbed the walls. He swore at himself before charging towards the fortress. He never saw a set of eyes following his every move. A cold shutter went down Princess Celestia’s spine as she read a document that was sent by her faithful student; Twilight Sparkle. She looked to her sides in an effort to find the source of the sudden chill. One of her guards spotted her discomforted face and asked, “Is some of the matter, your Highness?” She crooked her head to him with a smile and said smoothly, “No, it’s quite fine. Thank you.” He nodded and stood back at attention. Meanwhile, Princess Celestia dropped her smile and scanned the area with watchful eyes. She knew something was going to happen soon, but when is the agonizing question. She pushes the problem away for a while as she kept reading the letter from her student. After about ten minutes, the tension had vanished as she finished the letter. She let out a loose chuckle at her students report. She looked at her guards that had hardly moved all day and said, “Well, looks like its time to hit the hay, you can leave now and thank you for looking after me.” They turned and bowed to her in response. They then faced the front and began to march. But strangely, the left one remained still with his head locked to the roof. The guard is staring at shadow behind a pillar on the roof and the tool in its— “Princess!” He leapt from his position and pushed Celestia from her throne. A loud crack and bang identical to lightning echoed around the hall. A split second later, a hole about the size of a walnut stuck the wooden chair where the Princess head was positioned. This all happened in a time frame of five seconds. The other guard charged a lightning spell and fired it towards the Assassin. The shadow leapt from its position and evaded the spell with ease. The lighting stuck its last position, sending rocks and splinters everywhere. The creature landed in the middle of the hall on two legs, completely unharmed. Its weird tool was in its front hoofs and was shrouded in black clothing. Just what is this creature? Princess Celestia got up from the ground despite from the meter drop and faced its would-be killer. The guards stood in front of the Princess, defending her from the bi-pedal fiend. “Who are you?!” She shouted to the weird creature in the middle of the hall. She took the creature’s image; Black jacket, black pants, red shoes, and a red sash on its arm. She stared at it and after a while, her heart ceased movement. Its hand reached for its hood and flicked it off. The cold shiver before didn’t compare the one she felt now. Her whole body became cold, eyes wide and mouth gawked. She stared at its face with fear. It had dull blue eyes that stared at her, dirty blonde hair and a scar on its cheek that was shaped like; ‘ ’ The lips on the alien moved and a gruff voice laced with anger boomed out, “Remember me, bitch!” A/n: And cut.
