//------------------------------// // Bonus chapter // Story: The Hero of Time in Equestria // by Mikoyose //------------------------------// ----------------------Hyrule three months later------------------- Link walked to the nearest Great fairy fountain with a bottle filled with high quality gold dust from a second trip to Termina. He gave the fairy the bottle and asked her to deliver it to Equestria. The fairy thanked Link for helping their sister before using her magic to send the bottle. He left and rode Epona, after apologizing, to the Lost woods. He greeted his old friends and climbed the ladder to his home, where he kept the gifts from Equestria. He sat down at a table and grabbed a quill to write to Twilight. Dear Twilight, It's Link. I am doing fine, still haven't found Navi but I'll keep looking. Anyway can you tell Rarity I sent the gold dust? Thank you. Also I wanted to tell you that Link stopped as Saria spoke from behind him, "Who are you writing to?" Link jumped in his seat. He looked at the paper, "Just some friends." he answered and continued to write. Princess Zelda requested that I become her personal guard when I come of age. The king and queen agreed. I hope you all are doing fine. Your friend, Link. P.s Saria says hi. Link added when she asked him. He read over the writing before rolling it up and leaving the home, the letter in his hand. Saria followed him but stopped him before he threw it in a fire, "Link! What are you doing!?" she asked, Link looked at her and smiled, "I'm sending the letter." he said and threw it in the fire. He watched the letter burn into dust and the dust spun into the center before disappearing from Hyrule. "That's how you send letters? Why don't you use the mail box in Castle town?" she asked. Link laughed, "This is the only way to send the letter to my friends." he said looking at the sky. Saria pouted, "Why won't you tell me?" Link laughed and Mido ran up to him, "Link! Why do you always run off you jerk!? Trying to get the ladies again aren't you?" Mido asked with a smirk. Link blushed and grabbed the Gibdo mask, he turned around and put it on. "Hey Mido, how about we play tag?" Link said before turning around with the mask on, Mido screamed and ran Link chased him, not using the Pegasus boots to be fair. Saria laughed and followed Link. ---------------------------------Ponyville---------------------------------- Twilight was reading through the latest book she had acquired from Canterlot: A hero's journey. It was written by the same author of the Daring Do novels. She spoke to Twilight about Link and Twilight retold Link's story of Hyrule, meeting his friends, Volvagia, and saving the world. This was the first of them all and it had the image of Link on the front looking over a small village. She was halfway through the book when Spike came in with a scroll in his hand, "Twilight! It's from Link!" he said, she took the scroll in her magic excitedly and let Spike catch his breath from running to her. Twilight read the letter and told Spike to tell Rarity her gold dust arrived. He nodded and ran out the door with a slight skip in his step. Twilight rolled her eyes and returned to her book, deciding to send a reply from all five of her friends present. Rarity was working on a new dress, "Something's missing. But what?" she asked aloud as she gazed upon her new dress. Her thoughts were interrupted by the door slamming open. She turned to the purple dragon, "Spike! Darling, what brings you to my boutique?" she asked. Spike took a deep breath before answering, "Well Link wrote and said that he sent the gold dust." Rarity smiled widely, "Oh that's wonderful! Would you like to accompany me?" she asked him, he nodded and jumped onto her back. They trotted towards the Everfree forest and the Great fairy's fountain. -------------------Everfree----------------- Rarity reached the castle and walked down the dusty stair case carefully. They found the hidden entrance and entered the fountain. Spike screamed as the Fairy cackled and rose from the fountain. She laid on the air, "Hello Rarity, Spike." she greeted them. Spike nodded back and Rarity bowed elegantly, "Link has told me that he sent some gold dust. Do you have it by chance?" the white unicorn asked. The Fairy laughed and held out the bottle filled with gold dust. Rarity took it in her magic with a large grin. The Great fairy then held out a circular sapphire and held it out for Spike, "I heard you like gemstones." she said. Spike began drooling as he took the gem. He thanked her and ate the gem happily, she cackled and returned to the fountain. They left the fountain and returned to Ponyville, Spike went with Rarity to be a pincushion again, just to help. -----------------later--------------- Rarity had a lot of the gold dust left over and she had finished the dress. The six mares sat around the library as Spike wrote a letter back to Link. Dear Link, We are very happy to hear you're doing well and we congratulate you. Pinkie wants to send you a cake through the Fairy's fountain but we don't know if that will work. Kick some monster butt for us Link. Thank you for the gold darling, it's gorgeous. Link I told your story to a famous author and it was published, the story is known as the hero's journey. Yeah it's awesome! But you still told it better. Oh, oh, oh, tell Saria I said hi! And give her a big hug for me! Take care Link we can't wait to hear how everything goes. Please don't hurt yourself Link. Your Pffs pony friends forever- Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow dash, Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Applejack. Twilight re-read the letter before deciding it was good enough to send. She levitated it to Spike and he burned the scroll, it spun in the air for a second before fading into nothing. They stared at the spot before continuing with their day. -------------------Hyrule------------------- Link was laying on the grass in Lon Lon ranch with Malon. She was still angry with him for leaving Epona, even though he knew she didn't mind. They sat staring at the clouds move across the sky, his memories of Rainbow dash flying through the sky with a rainbow trailing her filled his mind. Malon gasped in shock as a scroll appeared above them, Link laughed and grabbed it, "Don't worry Malon it's from my friends." he said, unfurling the scroll, the Equish writing had turned into Hylian so he could understand. He read it and smiled, Malon read it as well. She was confused, "You are friends with Ponies? That can write!? Why do they have such strange names?" he laughed, "It's a long story Malon. I'll tell you later, it's time for me to meet up with Zelda for the escort." he said standing up. She glared at the back of Link's head as he walked away but her gaze went unnoticed by the hero as he mounted Epona. Together they raced to the castle, the day began turning to night and he reached the gate in time to jump across the bridge before it rose. One of the guards smirked, "Hello Mr. Hero. You made it inside just in time it seems." he said. Link smiled and dismounted Epona to walk to the castle. The guards escorted Link into the castle to wait in the courtyard for Zelda to come to him. She exited the castle in her usual white dress with a light purple sashes. She smiled warmly and greeted Link, "How are the ponies?" she asked him. "Oh they're doing just fine." they shared a laugh that confused the guards. They chatted for a short while before the guards brought Zelda inside. They waved goodbye to each other before Link was escorted off the premises. He mounted Epona again and they lowered the bridge shortly for him to leave. They galloped across the large Hyrule field, Stalchild began rising from the ground, Link drew his sword and sliced through them as he passed. He rode Epona into the Kokiri village, the other Kokiri enjoying the pony's presence. Link walked up to Saria and her green fairy, he still hadn't seen Navi. He gave Saria a big hug saying, "My friend asked me to do this." she told him to thank her for the hug, Mido punched Link's arm. "Just because you have that golden sword doesn't mean you can just go around talking with every girl you see." Link was tempted to put the All-night mask on Mido but decided against it. "You're just jealous that you didn't get to hug Saria." Link said laughing at Mido's red face. "Sh-shut up!" Link began running from Mido as he chased him with a deku stick. --------------------Canterlot---------------------- Celestia had received Link's letter from Twilight and smiled happily as she read it. She gave the letter to Luna to read as well. "I am happy he is doing so well... Did we-I say that right?" the alicorn of the night asked her sister. Celestia smiled, "Perfectly Luna. I'm also happy for Link. I wonder when we'll see him again." Celestia said. "I too wonder sister." Luna agreed. Celestia lowered the sun to make way for Luna's moon. (just a small epilogue I guess. The sequel is going to be written by Bright_star)
