//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: Arrival in a new world // Story: I lost what i loved the most, 'cause of my brother.... // by Sage Probo //------------------------------// I lost what i loved the most, 'cause of my borther... Story & Idea by Sage Probo A/N: OK, first things first: I do NOT own My little Pony or anything that should appear in this fic. They belong to their respective owners (MLP (C) Hasbro & Lauren Faust). Second: i know HiE are done so often, that writing one seems a tad over the top, but i will do it nonetheless, and yeah, if YOU don't like it, then don't even start reading it. Seriously, don't. And like other writers: Any CONSTRUCTIVE critism is welcomed, after all, it's meant to improve my writing style. Oh, and if you find a typo, it's bound on reading and yours to keep (and those who get that reference get a virtual cookie) With that out of the way, lets get this started. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The light from the spell was still blinding his eyes, as Harp appeared again. Waiting a few moments to have his eyes adjust, he opened them and looked around. 'What the . ..' That was the first thing, that came into his mind, as he saw where his spell transported him. Said spell was a rarely used spell, known as the 'Trans-Inter-Dimensional-Teleportation'-spell (the one who named this spell should get roasted slowly on a fire, Harp thought) or 'Dimensional-Teleportation'-spell for short. After resting a bit to recollect himself, he began to inspect his surroundings, and what he saw was unlike anything he'd seen so far. There were beautiful green trees, a rich, brown soil beneath his feet, and crystal clear water in the nearby fountain. . . Wait a sec. . . a fountain? And as he looked left and right, he saw houses too. But the strangest thing, that topped all of the things before...... He saw pastel coloured horse-like beings everywhere he looked. Oh, theres nothing wrong with that, just that this special trait of this world is creeping the very daylight out of him. The ponies however didn't seem to notice that he appeared out of thin air and that he was standing right in the middle of some sort of townsquare. After calming down he inspected his surroundings again and came to a conclusion. 'Well, this place seems somewhat nice.well, i guess i stay here. Those ponies seem to talk. Ithink i just cast the translation spell, so i may understand what they say, and they may understand me.' he thought. After he laid down his seasack, he gathered a bit of mana in his hand, and hold it to his head, chanting the spell. Afterwards, he picked up his seasack, and began to make his way to the outskirts of the town, trying to find the house where the mayor is supposed to be. If he was planning on staying in this town, he needed a roof over his head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was a beautiful day in Ponyville. Celestia's sun setting high in the sky, a small breeze blowing through the streets, the ponies enjoying the freshness it brought. The sky was clear of any clouds, that was something Rainbow Dash, self proclaimed 'fastest flyer in Equestria', ensured. It was also scheduled, so there was not much choice in that matter. After her work was done, she laid lazily on a cloud and went straight to her favourite past-time: napping. Down below her were Twilight Sparkle, the lavender unicorn, and Spike, her dragon assistent, whom sat in a cafe near the townsquare and ate their lunch, talking about the weather, their friends and Twilights latest experiments and spells. Rarity, the fashionista, and Fluttershy, the timid animal caretaker, were on their way to their weekly meet-up at the spa. Pinkie Pie, the ever-so-often hyperactive pony, was at Sugarcube Corner, helping the Cakes with a pretty big order of sweets from Manehatten. And Applejack, the hard working farm pony? She was busy applebucking, since it was shortly after the beginning of the applebucking season. Nopony paid notice to the creature, that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, in the square. That creature was strange, in any givin' meaning of that word: It was a bipedal, about one and a half heads taller than an average pony. It was completely furless except on its head, where it had shoulderlong black hair tied to a tail on the back, and in its face around the area where its mouth is, black as well. Over its right eye was a scar, which gave it a somewhat wild look. The creature wore a deep-red coat, a black t-shirt, dark brown pants, buckled with a silver belt around the waist, and black boots made of leather. Also, in its right hand, it held some sort of staff, with a gem embedded on the top, a ruby clear of any impurity. The staff itself was clearly made of wood, oak to be precise, and got ornaments made of gold. In its other hand was some sort of travelbag, completely different than the saddlebags ponies used, more like what a sailor used to pack things. That creature was called: Human. After a while standing there, it began to check it surroundings more closely, some minutes later bringing a hand to its head, said hand glowing in a dim light, and then let go. It picked up its bag from the ground and went away from the square. It thought, nopony had noticed it, but one particiular pony did notice it. That pony had a light pink coat, and a slightly darker pink mane that looked really fluffy. As the creature made its way through town, the pony stayed close to watch. She followed it as it wandered around town, past the park, looking at it in awe, as it was simple yet beautiful, past Carousel Boutique, wondering what whoever lived inside did for a living, past the Golden Oaks Library, wondering about how the tree continued to thrive, even though it was hollow. It then went on to aimlessly walk around town, but it didn't find what it was looking for. Deciding to rest, the creature was now sitting on a bench at the outskirts of town, and the pony thought now was the best time to approch that strange creature. She took a deep breath and begin "talking" to the creature: "HI I'M PINKIE PIE! I KNOW EEEEEEEEEEVERYPONE IN TOWN! AND I DON'T KNOW YOU! SO THAT MUST MEAN YOU ARE IN TOWN! AND THAT MEANS YOU NO FRIENDS AND THAT MAKES ME SAD! SO HOW ABOUT I THROW A 'WELCOME-TO-PONYVILLE'-PARTY?? HUH? HUH? HUUUUUH?" Needless to state, in a matter of seconds he had his hands on his ears, trying to shield them from the onslaught of words spoken at an impossible rate by that pink pony in a single breath. After she somewhat stopped talking, he looked at her a little bit confused, but he answered: "Thank you for your offer, but i have to decline that. I came a long way and i'm really tired. Since i plan to stay here, i might as well find a place for now. Do you know where to find the one in charge of this town?" Pinkie beamed at that question. "Sure! You mean Mayor Mare, she is a reeeeeeeally nice pony, you'll like her. Come, i'll show you the way." And so, the two of them, a pink pony and a human, made their way back into town.
