Chapter 1: A pony in need
The young cyan mare was soaring through the air. Her multi colored mane blew in the wind as her wings stretched out into happiness. She had a smile cross her face as her candy colored eyes lightened into excitement. She twirled a few times and then crossed some clouds. A blast of crisp soft air hit her face as she past a cloud which seperated into other peices then disappeared. She then looked for a place to land. She saw a puffy nice cloud then landed on it.
"That was a good flight for the day." The pony softened the cloud with her hooves as if she were a dog getting comfy then laying down.
The pony rested her chin on her hooves and closed her eye lids ready to take a nap. She wrapped her trickly Rainbow tail around her side and her flank. She relaxed as she fell asleep into a dream. Only to be woken up by the calling of her name.
"Rainbow Dash!" A familiar voice of a mare called.
The pegasus's eyes popped open and rose from her nap. She waited for another calling of her name before being sure to look for who was.
"Rainbow Dash!!!" The pony called out louder this time.
She stretched her wings and pounced off the cloud flapping her wings to keep them up. She looked down at the setting of Ponyville. Rainbow Dash lowered her body towards Ponyville in case the pony was down there. She looked around. Still didn't see the pony.
"RAINBOW DASH!!!!!!!!" The pony squealed louder. "ARE YOU UP THERE?!?!?"
She then reconized who it was. It was her friend! Twilight Sparkle! She then saw the lavender unicorn down in the setting and her blue,purple, and pink mane. She looked okay. So if it's a problem, she's not hurt.
She then soared down towards Ponyville, going as fast as she could towards the mare. The wind blew back her mane and her cheeks and forcing her eyes to shut. The wind was blowing an impact that couldn't stop the mare from slowing down.
"RAINBOW DASH!!!!!!!! SLOW DOWN!!!!" The mare screamed in panic. "YOU'RE GONNA-"
The pony was cut off as Rainbow Dash flew her body at her and the impact slapped Twilight against the ground.
"Crash..."Twilight's eyes were all over the place as she was still laying on the ground. "Slow down, you're gonna crash."
The pony then rose up rubbing the backside of her head. She shook her head a couple times to get rid of her diziness. Rainbow Dash rose up and rubbed the dirt off of her hooves and her flank. She shook the dirt out of her mane and flicked her tail a few times. She helped her unicorn friend rub the dirt off her as well. As soon as all the dirt was off both of them, then Rainbow Dash spoke.
"Sorry about that, Twilight." Rainbow said. "You know me, a need for speed."
"I don't blame you Rainbow Dash." Twilight got up. "Anyways, I wanted to tell you something great! My brother and Pinkie's sisters are in town!"
"R-Really?" The pegasus studdered quietly.
She then remembered. All of her friends had atleast one sibling. Well pretty much all of them. Scootaloo is kinda like a sister. But its not really the same. It made her feel more lonely just thinking about it.
"Yes! It's really great!" Twilight hopped happily. "My brother got time off! He's gonna be in town for a few days! This is so exciting!"
"Sounds exciting." The rainbow pony choked on tears but tried not to show it.
"Rainbow Dash? Are you feeling okay?" Twilight looked at her eyes seeing the tears."You don't look so good."
"I'm fine." She couldn't speak anymore. "I gotta go."
The pony flew away with the tears flying out of her eyes. She shut her eyes trying not to think about it. It didn't work. The more she thought about it, the more the tears hit her eyes. She soon found her cloud home. She flew onto the clouds and opened the door quickly and shut it. She looked for her bed and when she did, quickly jumped on it. She sunk her face in the pillow and started crying. She didn't come up for hours. Soon, her mane was in a bad shape, worse than when she was in the hospital. Her eyes were red and she had the hiccups. And she got a bad headache from all the dehydration. She wasn't usually like this. She was just gonna stay in her house until she had herself pulled together. She finally turned her face towards the ceiling. She sniffled and relaxed.
"Why can't I have a sister or brother of my own?" She whispered to herself.

"Rainbow Dash isn't okay." Twilight said to her four other friends. "She was crying. And I think I know why."
The pony then started to pace as usual as Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack watched her.
"Calm down, Sugarcube." Applejack said. "Just tell us all why ya'll think so."
"It was after I mentioned Pinkie and I's siblings were in town." Twilight stopped pacing. "So she must be upset she dosen't have sibling."
"Or we could throw... a PARTY!!!!!!!" Pinkie Pie hopped in the air.
"I don't think a party is going to help her, Pinkie." The lavender unicorn said.
"Fine, have it your way." The pink pony sat down.
The unicorn then started pacing again. She muttered to herself out a plan that only she could hear. The ponies were wondering what she was saying. Sometimes she'd stop and think silently as she looked up and shake her head.
This went on for about ten minutes.
"ISN'T IT OBVIOUS WHAT WE GOTTA DO?!?!?!?!" Applejack screamed.
The others then stared at her.
"What? Well isn't it?" The orange pony said. "We gotta find a way she won't be so lonely all the time."
"We need to find a pegasus!" Fluttershy said in her whisper like voice.
"Not just any pegasus." Rarity said. " A FILLY pegasus. One that she could love. Maybe Rainbow Dash isn't actually as tough as she thought. Maybe she does have a soft side."
"Then it's settled." Twilight said. "Let's go to the pony orphanage. We could find the filly we need."
Rainbow Dash may just seem tough, just like Rarity said. But have a soft side. All she really needed was a young pony in her life. Now Rainbow Dash wouldn't be sad anymore. She'll have the happiness she needed.
