An Unsuspected Visiter.





It was a cold night upon The Living Library, Most of the crew members were asleep or somewhere else, but only two remained within the same room, Cloud Runner and Quick Step.

"Did you enjoy tonight's show Quick Step?" Cloud asked.

"Yeah, Apex nailed the narration again. Hey cloudy, did you read this one?" Quick Step hands over a book to Cloud.

"No I haven't. Is it good?" 

"Its called The Red Pony"

"I'll Read it later maybe"

There was a Knock at the door.

"I wonder who that could be" Cloud said.

"I don't know, i'll go check."

Quick step walked to the door and opens it.

"Hello, and welcome to the Liv-"

"Greetings" A tall ebon blue alicorn stood in the door frame.

"Uh..." Quick step froze for a second at what he saw."One second please" Quick Step closed the door and turned toward cloud and screamed in shock "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"

"What's wrong Quick Step" Cloud asked.

"Princess Luna is standing right outside our door"

"Well let her in, don't keep a princess waiting"

"But then what do we do?" Quick step panicked and walked to the door slowly. He opened the door. "Please come in princess"

"Thank you" Luna said. "Quite the collection has come into thine contraption"

"Oh its not mine princess, the captain's out at the moment" Quick Step said.

"Should I come back later?"

"Oh no its perfectly fine princess"

"Please, Luna will suffice"

Cloud walk over and joins the conversation. "Oh hi your grace. Umm i mean hello". Quick Step raises an eyebrow and smirks at Cloud.

"Greetings" Luna said. "Soo...I was at your performance this afternoon"

"You were?" Quick Step asked.

"In disguise of course"

"You like our readings?" Cloud asked Luna.

"Yes, I enjoy your performances"

"Well thank you princess"

"You've brought many of my favorite pieces from their pages into our imaginations. And i've come to thank your captain, and the rest of the crew for their hard work and talent. You do call yourself a crew,correct?"

"Y-yes" Quick Step added.

"Splendid. What is your name?"

"I'm... Quick Step"

"A true pleasure to make your acquaintance. And you, fair pegasus?"

"Im Cloud Runner"

"Well... I'm very pleased to meet you"

"Thank you princess"

Luna then picks up Clouds hoof and kisses it.

"Umm princess?" Cloud asked.

"What?"

"Oh sorry I'm just not used to this type of thing"

"Tis... tradition. Anyway, I can expect to see you all in Canterlot, correct?"

Quick step glances at Cloud.

"Umm yeah we hope to go there soon" Cloud answered.

"Yes, although getting up there will be hard" Quick Step said.

"Hmm?" Luna asked.

"Uh, I mean, it will be hard, your grace"

"Oh? Why will it be hard?"

"Canterlot is a long way up, you know"

"Would you like something to eat Princess?" Cloud asked.

"No, thank you. I just ate"

"Ok"

"Quick Step. I recommend you do research on the topic of hot air balloons "

"Hot air balloons?" Quick Step added.

"Yes"

"N-now? Ok"

Luna and Cloud watches him leave. Luna turns and looks at Cloud.

"Finally. Now mister Cloudy." Luna said.

"Yes Princess?"

"What is your job aboard this vessel?"

"Well, I'm the one who picks the stories what we are going to read, and do everything with them like pick roles and stuff"

"Did you happen to pick 'Moonlit Night' on purpose?"

"Yeah. Did you like it?"

"It is... my favorite story." Luna paused for a moment before speaking again. "It was written for me, and was the best gift I ever received"

"Its nice to know that Princess"

"You made a brilliant choice. I see much of the author in you, in fact. You were both blue, both pegisi... both of you had the same accent"

"Really?"

"He was also my coltfriend for awhile"

Cloud takes a deep breath in shock and then replies "I remind you of your Ex coltfriend?"

"Yes. He loved me, he truly did" Luna paused again and then spoke "I wish..."

"You wish what Princess?"

"I offered him immortality, so he could be by my side forever..."

"He declined?"

"Yes... and he never told me why... but ... that was over one thousand years ago. It's a long lost moment in history. I mistook you for him... I apologize if my behavior is too personal, I'm not thinking straight"

"Hey, i don't mind"

"Thank you..."

"Its funny really, how i rather adore you and i remind you of you Ex coltfriend but hmm..."

"I know he's in a happy place, but... its sad sometimes"

"Yeah i can imagine"

"I... I'm sorry, i believe i interrupted you"

"Well its ok, I was just saying how i actually rather adore you and that i remind you of you Ex coltfriend"

"R-really?"

"Yes i've alwase been fascinated in you"

"Fascinated, why?"

"Your just an amazing mare. Despite of your past"

"Not many ponies look past that" Luna smiled "...Thank you..."

"Your welcome princess"

"Luna, Please"

"Ok, your welcome Luna"

"You say it... just... like he did" Luna paused, almost in tears "I'm sorry. I need a second" She recovered for a second and continued "I... I shouldn't loose my composure in front of my subject... I'm sorry..."

Cloud looked Luna in the eyes and spoke "Luna, Its ok everybody has their moments, even princess's. Hmm i wish i was him"

"Well, who wouldn't want to be a famous author? He was a celebrity"

"Was he?"

"Yeah, i can see why anypony would want to be him."

"Well that wasn't the reason i said that, hmm..."

"It's...not?"

"No. Having you by my side would just be divine. He must of been lucky"

Luna blushes and then spoke "T... Thank you..."

Cloud smiles at luna "Your welcome"

Luna backs away slightly.

"Luna are you ok?"

"... Cloudy, may... may i embrace thee? Thou doesn't mind if i call thee Cloudy, doth thee? " Luna's face turns slightly red in embarrassment, not making eye contact with Cloud.

"I would like that, you said something about embrace me?"

"Yes... Thoust wouldn't mind, would thee?"

"What do you mean embrace me?"

"Gah, my apologies, my voice sometimes slips back into the old tongue when I'm nervous. I mean can i hug you?"

"Yes, you may"

Luna approaches Cloud blushing hard. "T-Thank you..."

"It's quite alright"

"I just miss him..."

Luna gets closer to Cloud "So..." Cloud hugs Luna. "So much" Cloud smiles "Its ok"

"Mmm, you even feel like him... How?"

Cloud smiles again "I don't know"

Luna nussles Clouds neck and then speaks "I think..."

"You think what?"

"Cloudy, I'm not going to pretend you are him any longer... I'm going to move on. And i need your help to do it"

"How can i help you?"

"Old memories can be replaced by new ones"

"You want me to replace him?"

"Yes. I want you... to..."

"Yes luna?"

"I want you to kiss me, Cloudy"

"I would love to" Cloud smiles deeply.

"Oh, thank you..."

Luna pulls her head back to look at Cloud. And then she brings her lips to join Clouds.

"Mmm" Luna becomes stiff.

After a brief moment Cloud brings his head back and looks luna in the eyes "Did that help?" Cloud smiles.

"I'm sorry, Its been so long, I'd nearly forgotten"

"Well it doesn't have to be anymore"

"Yes"

Luna connects both hers and Clouds lips again.

"Mmm" Luna drapes a hoof over Clouds shoulder. She is more relaxed now. Luna brings her head back slightly. "Are you nervous?"

"No why?"

"Your just being cute, thats all"

Cloud smiles at luna. There lips join again. After a short while, Luna brings her head back and looks in Clouds eyes. "Cloudy?"

"Yes Luna?"

"I love you"

"I love you too"
