Octavia stumbled into her kitchen again, this time a couple of weeks later. She had started work with Vinyl Scratch at the facility now and has been quite enjoying it. You couldn't call it work though really, it was more like just getting paid to be friends with Vinyl and occasionally do something with paperwork or tranquilizers. Octavia had also started becoming much better at controlling her whole werewolf power shebang and didn't really have to worry a whole lot now about transforming unexpectedly or suddenly having the urge to rip somepony's head off.
Once again, Octavia decided to simply make herself her normal, mediocre, Hot Packet breakfast meal. "Sweet Celestia... I really need to start eating real food for once in my miserable life." With that she finished off her Hot Packet and went out the door to go and do stuff. Today she was going to go out for lunch and other stuff related things with Carrot Top, Bon Bon, and Lyra. Lyra had the whole entire day planned out already so none of the others had any idea about what was going to go down over the course of the day.
Regardless of that Octavia complied anyways, even if Lyra had decided they were all going to compete in pole dancing competitions or "major league" drinking games. Which believe it or not, both of these things happened before with Lyra. Funny story that one, oh and just a fun fact, Octavia won the pole dancing competition against some ridiculous, pro pole dancer (I highly doubt those don't exist), that had 5 years of experience. She still hasn't heard the end of that and probably never will.
Back on topic though, Octavia had almost reached Lyra and Bon Bon's door. She walked all the way up to it and knocked several times. It was Bon Bon who answered, "Oh hey Octavia! Ready to win it big in another pole dancing competition?" Octavia rolled her eyes, "I hope we're not seriously doing that again, because if we are, I am out." Bon Bon chuckled, "No, we aren't, but you did put on quite a nice show there last time that happened. I'm pretty sure every colt in the bar had given you at least 5 dollars. In ones of course, as is the stripper way..."
"Dear Celestia... don't even get me started on those pervs, they gave way more than 5 dollars each." Bon Bon laughed again, "I don't doubt that for 1 second. Enough chit chat though, Carrot Top is already here so we can get going now."
"Alrighty then, let's go shall we?" With that, they were off.
Later at lunch... "So Octavia, Carrot Top here tells us you've been hooking up with somepony. Do you mind telling us who it might be?" Octavia blushed at Lyra's question. "Oh no, I'm not, as you put it, "hooking up" with anypony right now, I think Carrot Top must have just seen me in the town with my new boss. I haven't been working for her for very long yet." Bon Bon simply chuckled. "Sure sure, whatever. I suppose that's why you were going around with her everywhere she went then." Octavia blushed again."Oh no, I'm just her assistant, I simply do paperwork and the sort for her or some other smaller tasks." This time Carrot Top jumped into the conversation. "If you say so, I'm still confused on what paperwork you have to fill out to go to the bar for an Applejack Daniels though..."
"Are you all ready to order your meals now?" said the waitress pony. "I'll take a salad and a side of hay fries." answered Octavia. The others ordered their food as well and thankfully the interruption of the waitress had provided an opening for a new topic and Octavia was safe from further questioning and teasing about her job. They talked for a while about random things while eating their food. Finally they had all finished eating and had payed the waitress the money and went out the door. From there they went around the town looking in various shops and buying a couple of things here and there. They did this until the sun had set and were on their way to the bar as their last stop of the day.
Unfortunately for Octavia, it just so happened that tonight of all nights, it was a full moon. Octavia didn't notice this until she realized her hair had started getting longer and her claws began poking out of her hooves. She had to come up with an excuse to leave and fast. "Darn it! I just realized I left the water running in my sink! I have to go bye!" With that she bolted off in the general direction of her residence and then as soon as they were out of sight she went towards the one place she could get through the night without killing anypony, the Everfree Forest.
