//------------------------------// // Chapter 6: Oh Ship! // Story: Dead Squirrel in Equestria // by OGBlitz14 //------------------------------// "This taste... amazing." Squirrel muffled excitingly as he was enjoying a bite out of a peanut and jelly sandwich in his mouth. He was sitting comfortably on Spike's throne with a plate of one wide triangle shaped PB&J sandwich. Squirrel had a bitten sandwich in his tiny brown hands with some peanut butter and some jelly mess splattered around his mouth. Squirrel didn't know why these sandwiches tasted so heavenly. Maybe it was how the Ponies here make the sandwiches or maybe it was his new Squirrel physique that made him want more of this, but he was not complaining. Squirrel was finally starting to feel relaxed after being interrogated to the brain (no pun intended.) When he saw Sunlight or Twilight (he forgot her name) walk in the room, he knew he would have to answer her questions or inform her on what she missed. However, before she can directly ask a question to him, he told everyone that he was getting stressed, hungry, and exhausted from all the things he witnessed today and needed a break. Sunlight or Twilight disagreed, since she wanted answers immediately. However, Fluttershy agreed that they should let him take a break. She felt bad for thinking that he was a hurt animal and for practically Foalnapping him, so she wanted to make up for that. Sunlight still felt like she should get some answers, so Applejack told her that she'll tell her everything about him while he relaxes. And Sunlight agreed to these terms, so Squirrel requested for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as a meal. Squirrel took another bite of his PB&J sandwich as he swallowed the previous bite. "Spike, was it?" He muffled to the young Dragon with a piece of a sandwich in his thick cheeks (not those kinds of cheeks.) "Yes?" Spike said in a bit of a questioning tone. He swallowed his piece. "Thanks for the sandwiches." "Oh, no problem." Spike accepted the thanks. "Hey, so do you have milk? I'm getting kind of thristy." Before Spike could answer, a snap was heard and something appeared in front of Squirrel's eye. It was a glass of chocolate milk that appeared and was levitating in front of him. "Do you accept chocolate milk?" Squirrel turned his head to right to the familiar voice and it turned out was Discord. He was sitting on Sunlight's throne and was looking down at Squirrel with a small grin. Squirrel looked at the chaotic chocolate milk that Discord had summoned and took it. "Uhh... sure, why not." Squirrel shrugged as he grabbed the glass and poured the milk down his throat. After he was done drinking half of the glass of chocolate milk down, he smacked his lips from the sweet taste and released a little relaxed "ahhhh." While Squirrel was enjoying his milk and sandwiches with Spike and Discord by him, everyone was doing their own things as well. The Cutie Mark Crusaders asked for some sandwiches as well and were nibbling them when they got them, while they were sitting on an individual throne. Fluttershy was watching Squirrel eat his sandwiches and drink his milk, which made her silently squeak excitedly from the cuteness the rodent made from his noms and gulps, even though she tried her best to ignore his exposed brain. Rarity was watching Squirrel by Fluttershy and she had a little disgusted face from the mess on Squirrel's face that he hadn't cleaned up yet. Pinkie Pie was thinking about the theme for the party she was planning for Squirrel, which made her sit silently, which only lasted for two seconds because she got out of the throne she was sitting on and excitedly bounced around, being the energetic Pony that couldn't contain her energy. Rainbow Dash was next to Scootaloo, talking to each other like siblings. Starlight was observing Squirrel with curiosity, not knowing what to do in this situation because she never experienced a dead walking animal before. Twilight Sparkle and Applejack were next to each other, by the opposite end of the table of Squirrel. Starlight noticed that Twilight and Applejack were talking with each other and decided to walk in the conversation. She noticed that Twilight had her eyes closed tightly and sat on her hauches to put one of her front hooves on forehead. "So let me get this straight." Twilight said with a tone of a lack of understandment. "Squirrel isn't really a Zombie Squirrel, but he's a Human that was turned into a Squirrel, a Zombie Squirrel?" "Yeah, that's right." Applejack confirmed. "But that makes no sense." "I know, I feel the same way." Starlight said as she walked next to Twilight and Applejack, catching their attention. "Ah know it's confusin' for the both of you, but the rodent is tellin' the truth." Applejack said. Twilight looked at Squirrel with a curious look and back at Applejack. "*Sigh* You're right Applejack, if you believe that Squirrel is not lying, then I believe you." "Thanks sugarcube." "No problem, it's just that nothing like this has happened in Equestria history, ever and it just seems suspicious for something like this to happen now." "Ah get what ya mean, Twahlight, but trust me when ah say that the rodent is honest." "Okay Applejack, I will." "Me too." Starlight added. Starlight and Twilight smiled at Applejack, who smiled back at them. They turned their head toward Squirrel who was chowing down on his last PB&J sandwich with a floating glass of chocolate milk by him. While Squirrel may of seemed untrustworthy at first, they believed that he was a very likeable Squirrel and wouldn't hurt any Pony at all. Starlight's eyes widened in realization and turned her head toward Twilight. "Wait, so how did you manage to calm down the town today from seeing Squirrel?" "Oh wellll..." Twilight had a sheepish look and looked behind her and shifted closer to Starlight's right ear. "Don't tell Rainbow this, but I may of said to Ponyville that it was a part of a prank she did." She whispered in her ear. Starlight had a smug smile from hearing the tactic that Twilight used to calm down the town. "Considered my lips sealed." This made Twilight form a slight smug smile on a face. Applejack didn't hear Twilight's answer, but she also had a smug expression that the Princess of Friendship lied in a tricking manner. In the entrance of the space ship, Delirious started to walk toward the end of the ship. He passed the big red cabinet, some buttons by the entrance of the door, and a panel on the right when he reached the end of the inside of the ship. He laid his astonished eyes on the screens in front of him. "This has to be a dream." He muttered to himself as he spotted a two buttons beside the black screen in front of him. He pushed the button that was on top of the second button and looked at the screen. Nothing happened. Delirious was thrown of by this and tried the second button that was below the first button and looked the screen, only to see no action happening in the screen. "What the hell!?" Delirious said in confusion. "Why is this not working!" He pushed the buttons again, just to get the same results. The screen that had the buttons beside it, was not reacting or the other screen that was next to it that Delirious barely noticed by now. "None of this shit is even working!" Delirious said angrily, but with the tone in his voice, it sounded like he was sarcastically being frustrated. He then looked at a panel that was beside the second screen and he had a curious look. He got in front of the panel and hovered his fingers slightly above the keyboard, hoping that he can enter some words into the panel's screen. He pressed the 'D' key and nothing popped up on the screen. He pressed the same key again, believing that the keyboard had some registering issues, however nothing was displayed on the screen. "Really!?" Delirious then pressed down on some other keys and moved his fingers all over the key board. Yet, no letter went through on the screen. "Man, this fucking Temu scamming panel sucks! I knew they were a god damn scam!" "Wait a god damn minute!" Delirious said to himself in realization. He backed away from the panel and turned his head back the screen with the buttons beside, but instead of looking at the screen, he was looking on what was in front of the screen. What was in front of the screen was a lever that had a red ball end. Delirious instantly had shocked eyes through his hockey mask. His hands were dangling, his feet were still, and his body felt chained as he watched the level for a few seconds. He couldn't believe it. This lever could do what he thinks it can do. Delirious finally released a reaction of gasping and put his left hand on the bottom of his mask where his lips would be. Maybe it wouldn't work, maybe it would. There was only one thing to do to see if it would happen. Delirious lifted his right hand and slowly brought it to the level, to grab the red ball part of the level. He was hovering over it and was mere inches away from the lever. Suddenly, he stopped and looked at the screen as something came to his mind that made him lost in his thoughts. 'Wait, If I pull this lever, then I'll... I'll-' Delirious couldn't bear thinking about the most monstrous thing that could happen to him if he pulled this lever. The most chaotic thing to ever happen to him, would happen if he pulled the lever. "-never be able to upload that one stream on to my channel! Fuck! Curse my content intentions!" He said the last part to himself, out loud. Delirious snapped out of his thoughts and then looked at the lever again. "Well I'm sure my viewers can wait, but then again, something bad could happen if I pull this." He paused in thought and shrugged. "I'll be fine, curiosity hasn't fucked my ass. Only the cat... and Shane Dawson." Delirious then brought his right hand to the red ball end of the lever and gripped his hand on it. All he had to do was pull the lever toward him. He took a deep breath and was going to pull the lever on 3... 2... 1-" "Who seems to be out there! This forest is full of dangers, beware!" Delirious stopped trying to pull the lever and turned his head toward the entrance of the ship, since that's where he heard a faint female voice cry out. "What the hell?" He said to himself. Did someone find him? Was he not the only one in this forest? He didn't care about the questions, he cared about the answers because he rushed out of the entrance and hopped over the yellow railing, landing on the dark grass. "Yeah! I'm out here! Can you hear me!?" Delirious yelled as he put both of his hands around a bottom part of a mask, where his lips would be, but not covering it. "You're far, but I hear where you are! Stay and don't wander, so things don't get bizarre!" He heard the voice call out and it was closer. He had a perplexed look in his eyes. Did the woman who yelled out to him, meant to rhyme? His thoughts were shook off his mind when he heard footsteps coming from his left, which oddly enough sounded like a Horse was coming at him, but ignored it. He then heard the "footsteps" get replaced by the sound of bushes rustling. He turned his head toward bush on his left and it seemed like it was the source if the rustling. Delirious had a feeling of relief that he was finally found and can't wait to see a face after exhaustingly walking through the forest. The woman came out the bush. "Finally, someone found me. You have no ide-" Delirious stopped when he realized that a woman didn't come out of the bushes, it was a Zebra. The Zebra looked like it came out of a cartoon which left Delirious confused. The Zebra also had some gold rings around it's neck, had one on each ear, and some on its left Zebra arm. The Zebra had an odd and almost Human look on its face that looked confused. "What the... a Zebra!?" Delirious confusingly shouted, not knowing why a Zebra was out here. The Zebra had a shocked face, but Delirious was too busy on being confused, he didn't pay attention to its look. "Uhh... woman! Are you there!? Did you bring a Zebra to this forest!?" He looked past the Zebra and shouted out at the direction of the sound of the woman's shouts. "Uhh... lady!? Are you out there!?" "I-I'm the one that you spoken to. A visitor like you, is something new." Delirious stopped looking at the direction he previously heard the voice and looked at the Zebra. He heard the same voice come from the Zebra when it moved its lips to talk. This shocked Delirious and for a second, he believed that he heard the voice come from the Zebra "Wait, d-did you just... talk?" Delirious said in astonishment. 'No, no. Snap out of it, you're imagining things. There's no possible way that a Zebra can ta-' "I'm confused on why you think I can't talk. Yet, I'm perplexed that on two legs, you can walk." The Zebra said "Holy hell, you just talked!?" Delirious yelled, astonished by the talking Zebra. "How are you talking, you Zebra!?" "I could ask the same, you're the most unusual guest I'll ever see. But tell me, what were you doing in the forest of the Everfree?" "*Gasp* You're a Dr. Seuss speaking Zebra!" Delirious said, completely ignoring the question the Zebra asked. "I'm really losing my mind!" "I may not know or have a clue on who's Dr. Seuss. However, I can assure you, you don't have any screws loose." The Zebra replied. "But how can it be possible!? Zebras don't talk at all or look like they came out of a cartoon!" "Equestria has always had many species that communicate and share. So why do you think we can't do any of the skills there?" "Equestria? What the hell is that?" Delirious asked with confusion. The Zebra's eyes became full of a little shock. "Wait, you mean you don't know the grass you walk on? It's the very grass you are walking beyond." "Ok, but last time I checked, Humans haven't discovered or heard anything about Zebras talking." "My people not communicating? I'm full of doubts, but I wonder, what are these Humans you're talking about?" The Zebra said with a tone of curiosity. "Oh, well these Humans are like me, you know. They look like Monkeys but they are taller and walk on two legs, they talk normally, but not like animals, and other stuff like that. "Fascinating. Well I'm glad I met and heard about your kind. And you seem fine, though earlier you thought you were losing your mind." The Zebra said with a amused tone, look and a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, well *Ahem* seeing crazy things you haven't seen before, will do that to you." Delirious nervously said, a little embarrassed about him almost losing his screws. "But hey, I'm taking it pretty well for seeing and hearing talking Zebra that I have never head of before." "For your kind, I indeed feel the same. Though, I must know, what is your name?" "Well my name is H2ODelirious or you can call me Jonathan or Jon, but I prefer Delirious." Delirious pointed a thumb to himself in confidence. The Zebra giggled a little. "Delirious? With your wild personality, I can see why the name is for ya. Nice to meet you, Delirious. My name is Zecora." Zecora introduced. "Well it's nice to meet you, Zecora." After they properly introduced, Zecora noticed the ship behind Delirious. "Delirious? What is behind you back? I never seen this kind of craft." Delirious turned around to look at the spaceship. "Oh, you must be talking about this spaceship." "A-a ship of space? Can it really go to that place?" Zecora asked with shock filled in her voice. "Well yes, it does. It can go above the skies and can enter space. Enter space!" Delirious said with some excitement. "Amazing." Zecora excitingly muttered to herself. Delirious was about to go on about the spaceship, however he just realized something that he let go over his masked head. "Wait, I have a question." Zecora looked curious on his sudden question he was about to ask. "A question you have in your mask? What do you have to ask?" "Didn't you say that there's more of you earlier?" "Indeed I did, Delirious. Why are you curious?" Delirious had a shocked face, but he continued to talked "Well, while I'm used to a talking Zebra by now, I didn't know that there were more talking Zebras like you." Zecora let out of a small giggle as she informed him. "Well, my people aren't around, but there's a nearby town." "A town? A town of what?" Delirious asked with curiosity. "A town of Ponies and other creatures alike with friendships everywhere and no strife." "Ponies? Like Ponies that talk like you?" Zecora nodded. "Indeed." Delirious didn't know how to process that information. It was common for talking aninals to exist and he didn't know that some live in the Earth. Actually Equestria. Wait Equestria!? Delirious just let another piece of information slip over his head. "Wait, wait, let's rewind." Delirious did a backwards motion with his hands. Zecora was left with a confused expression, but nodded her head. "Did you say Equestria is the grass I'm walking on?" Zecora nodded, so he continued. "What do you mean by that? Is Equestria a village or something like that?" "I'm confused on what you think the world inhabits, but for you see, Equestria is a planet." Zecora answered with a tone of confusion. 'A PLANET!!!?' Delirious mentally yelled in his head, full of confusion. "DID YOU JUST SAY A PLANET!!!?" Delirious shouted in confusion, hoping what he had heard was wrong. Zecora thrown off by his yelling, but answered his question. "Yes, I did. Did I not? Why do you have a sudden state of shock?" Delirious couldn't believe what he heard. He was on a planet that wasn't Earth. What the fuck is going on? He didn't know why he was in Equestria. However, to make sure that he wasn't on a different planet or something, he asked one important question that he needed answered. "Umm... do you know what Earth is?" He asked reluctantly. "Earth? That's a name I haven't heard before. Unless it was part of history, it's not heard of anymore." Delirious had a more shocked expression and couldn't believe it. He was on another planet with no Humans, just talking Zebras and Ponies. "S-so I'm i-in Equestria?" "Indeed." Zecora nodded. 'How did I get here!? This can't be right! This has to be a dream! Right!?' Delirious was freaking out and questioning if this was even real life. First, he transformed into his avatar. Second, he finds a spaceship from Lethal Company. Finally, he encounters a talking Zebra. This couldn't be real. Zecora noticed that his face (well his eyes, since his face is covered) looked like it saw a ghost, so she tried to calm him down. "Relax, my Delirious friend. Breathe in and breathe out. After you're done, tell me what you worry about?" Delirious did what he was told and calmed down a little. "Now tell me what gets you wary? Tell me all of the worries that you carry?" Zecora asked in concern of Delirious' health. "Ok... so I-I think I'm stuck in a different world or dimension, however you call it." Delirious answered hesitantly. Zecora's eyes widened. "Another dimension you mention?" "Yes because you're saying that this planet is Equestria, but the planet that has my people is Earth." More shock consumed Zecora as she had her jaw dropped. She couldn't believe that she met a civilized ape that was from another world called Earth. She didn't know what to think or do about this for a bit. "And I don't know how I got here or what kind of tragic magic brought me to this ugly forest... umm, no offense." Delirious assured, thinking dissing the forest offended Zecora's feelings. "None taken. This forest has some surprises to fear. But also, I heard that magic brought you here." Zecora said. "Yes or something like that. I was hit by a purple lighting strike when I was-" Delirious paused, thinking that Equestria doesn't have video games, so he had to word it differently. "-relaxing with my friends. Then after I was hit by fucking lighting, I woke up in this forest, in the middle of no where. Zecora put a hoof on her chin to ponder about the magic that hit Delirious. "A purple lighting strike? That is certainly a mystery. Maybe Twilight will know how to get him out of his dimensional misery." She muttered to herself. Delirious noticed that Zecora was talking to herself and looked uneasy. "Uhh, is everything okay?" "Yes I am because I came to the conclusion. We should meet the Twilight to clear up the confusion." Delirious rose an eyebrow and was about to question on who Twilight is, but Zecora answered his question that he was about to ask. "Twilight is the Princess of Friendship and is well knowledgeable in magic, so I'm sure she can inform you about the events that were tragic. Follow me until, we meet her in Ponyville." "Okay." Delirious agreed, but before they can walk an inch, Delirious had a worrying question. "Wait, if I'm going to Ponyville, wouldn't they freak out because... you know-" He pointed his right hand index finger on his right masked up cheek. "-they haven't seen this before?" "There's no need to fret. They won't see you as a threat." Zecora reassured him. "Ok, but how do you know that they won't be scared when they see me?" He asked. "Because I was treated the same way when I first arrived, but eventually they became great friends when given time." "Ok, if you say so." "Trust me when I they won't be scared when you're around. But let us stroll, so we can make it to the town." She started walking the way she entered and Delirious followed her. However, before he could enter the bush Zecora made her way in, Delirious turned around to look the spaceship. 'Damn, should I follow her or should I try that lever.' He stood still and turned his head to the bush and spaceship now and then. He kept arguing in his head to see if he should follow the rhyming Zebra or travel to space with the ship. After a few seconds of mentally arguing and looking back and forth at the ship and bush, he came to the conclusion. 'Screw it, I'll check on the ship later. Time to see some talking Ponies.' "Delirious!? Is something appalling!? Why are you behind and stalling!?" He heard Zecora's faint voice yell out as she noticed Delirious wasn't following her. "Sorry! I'm coming!" Delirious shouted as he ran through the bush and followed Zecora. His footsteps then turned into faint noises, which eventually, left silence in the area. No pony, no Human, no Dragon, and no Draconequus were in the area at all. But maybe something was in the area. Like a mysterious figure hiding in the bushes. He was watching the scene and he had one thing to say: "YIPE!!!"
