Chapter 4: A troubled past
That name hit me like a brick wall and made my face pale, and my body shake. I have always dreaded that name since it appeared to me that one night.

I ran for what felt like hours, unable to escape his maniac laughter, and always seemed to be within the shadow he cast, I tried to run faster, but just felt like all of my attempts were in vain. I felt like I was trying to run through molasses with weights on my ankles. But I dare not stop, I just kept running and running trying to get to my home that seemed just out of reach, before I felt something cold on my chest, I began to lose all feeling, and then he appeared in front of me, his sickening smile plastered on his face, he walked strait up to my face and said in a rasp voice....

"CJ!!!!!!!" Twilight yelled at the top of her lungs.
I snap out of the trance I was in and looked at a very concerned Twilight.
"CJ, what's wrong, does the name mean anything to you?" She asked, with a hint of worry in her tone.
"Oh.. no... I mean... I'm sorry Twilight, I just want to be alone right now." I began making my way to the door and was stopped by a purple unicorn who appeared in front of me with a flash.
"Oh no you don't, you're not telling me something, I know that look, now, what does this name mean to you?"
"Twilight I don't wa-"
Twilight interrupts with another question, "And why did you go into such deep thought back there?"
"Listen I don't-"
"And why did you look like you knew who it was, I want answers."
"Twilight! I don't want to talk about it, so just leave me alone."
She sighed and said, "CJ I can help with whatever your dealing with, I can understand how you feel If you could just-"
I cut her off and began to shout, "NO TWILIGHT! You could NOT POSSIBLY understand what I went through with him, all the pain and suffering, you could not even IMAGINE what he put me through, you have no FUCKING idea!"
Twilight was shocked by the sudden outburst and was a little scared now, she could see the anger in my dim crimson lit eye's.
"So go back to whatever the HELL you do around here and just LEAVE ME ALONE" I slammed my foot into the ground where it made a few cracks on the wooden floor.
Twilight, still shocked and on the verge of tears, just sat there and said nothing.
The fire in my eye's slowly withered away and became blue again, I sighed and said, "I-I'm sorry... I have to go...."
Without another word I left the library and walked the dark streets of ponyville alone. Then I heard some faint laughter and decided I should go look. There was two ponies, pegasus to be exact, backing another pony into the corner in the alleyway. I sat and listened to what was going on.
One pony spoke up, "Come on hoops lets just take the stuff and leave." He was dark brown with a gray colored mane.
Then the other said, "Dumb-bell you idiot, you really just told her my name?" This one was orange with a brown mane.
"You just told her mine too idiot!" Yelled Dumb-bell.
"Oh, well, we can't have her going and telling anypony about this... can we?" Hoops let out a small chuckle.
"I'm with ya..." Agreed Dumb-bell.
At that moment a knife appeared in Hoops mouth, and they started to walk towards her.
'That's it I've had enough'
I step out from behind the wall I was standing and yell to them.
"HEY WORM FUCKS!"
That was more than enough to get their attention on me. Hoops yelled back.
"WHO THE FUCK SAID THAT"
I yelled back at them, "I did, and if you lay a finger on her I will rip you in two."
They both laughed and continued what they were doing, I saw them stab her in the left hind leg as she let out a scream of pain.
Everything went red and I spoke with a deeper then usual voice. "Wrong. fucking. move."
Before they could turn around I ran up and grabbed the shocked Dumb-bell by the back of the neck and threw him against the wall. I felt a slight pinch on the right of my thigh, I turned to see Hoops holding a bloody knife in his mouth, now scared out of his mind, he began to run.
I grabbed him by his tail and slowly brought him closer to me, and said in a deep voice.
"Your lucky you don't have fingers to lay on her." I said deeply, chuckling to my self.
With a sinister smile creeping over my face I grabbed the knife from him, and stuck it in his hind leg, and picked him up and threw him into the other pony who was still dazed and knocked him out like a light.
After a few moments I heard a voice say, "Um.. sir, I wanted to say tha..." She was cut off when I turned to look at her, and she saw the red in my eye's, a few moments later, I felt a sharp pain in my thigh, and began to lose consciousness. But not before hearing a deep, familiar voice laugh and say words that made me shudder.
'Gooood... very gooood...'

I woke up in a cold sweat and a surge of pain shot through my left thigh. I looked to see it all bandaged. When I finally looked around, I froze. 6 ponies were there, talking to a doctor and then stopped to look at me. I was the first to speak up.
"Uh... whats going on? Where am I?"
The doctor said, "Your in the hospital, you were stabbed and rushed here late last night."
I thought for a moment. "H-how did you find me?"
The doctor stepped aside to reveal a yellow pony with a orange mane and a bandaged leg looking at me with a smile that seemed to brighten me up.
She then said, "Hi, my name is Carrot top, and I wanted to say thank you! If you had not shown up...." She trailed off, and I simply nodded.
"It's alright, I was just trying to help."
I stuck out my hand and she shook it as I continued.
"My name is CJ, It's nice to meet you Carrot top."
She smiled and agreed, and left the room saying something about having to get home and explain the story to someone.
When she left I saw all eye's on me, and some close to tears.
"Uh, did i miss something?"
"What were you THINKING? you could have been KILLED!" Twilight shouted causing me to flinch.
"T-the d-doctor said that y-you lost a lot of b-blood... and you were lucky to even l-last the n-night..." Fluttershy sputtered out, on the verge of tears.
"If I had done nothing, then that pony may not be around anymore!" I said in a loud and agitated tone.
"Ah' know sugercube, but y'all need to be more careful." Said AJ Lowering her hat.
Then, I could feel a familiar voice in my head, and with every word it made the pain I already have intensify.
'Heheheh... they don't even care about others, they are just greedy. You shouldn't be here with them, they never do anything to help you, they do not deserve to live, they do not deserve to breath....'
"CJ??" Said Fluttershy looking a bit worried. "I-Is something wrong?"
"No.... everything is fine...." I say barely audible, with that same sickening laugh echoing throughout my mind.
"Just...Fine..."
I know some of you are thinking, 'this is not very long of a chapter' But, reason is, I cut it in half to give you some of it early, better then waiting a lot longer? The next half will be out a bit later
