Chapter 2: Making new friends 


I slowly began to awake from the sleep because of the pressure on my chest. Slowly I open my eyelids and came face to face with three large pairs of eyes. They then began to shout in perfect sync.

"IT'S AWAKE! IT'S AWAKE!"

My reaction...

"WhaaadaFUUUCK!"

Before toppling over the side of the couch and landing face first on the ground, but not before hearing a lot of laughter and a heavenly sent in the air. Deciding I should look at what had been watching me sleep for god knows how long, I lift my head from it's resting place on the ground. What I see is worse than Fluttershy's puppy dog eyes.

I see 3 small fillies, looking up at me, all wide eyed and looking like they are scared out of their minds. Behind them was Fluttershy who was failing to hold in all of her laughter. So I decide the best thing to do was to introduce myself. (Try to anyway)

"...Uh.. hi, my name is Chris, but yo...."

I was cut off with the 3 fillies screaming in unison something about their backside being gobbled and bolted out the door. I sat their dumbstruck for a bit. 

'Now, did I do something wrong or...'

Then Fluttershy said, "Oh don't worry about them, they cant be brave all the time, unlike me on the other hand."

I raised an eyebrow at that as she turned around and I kicked the nearest ball (must have been an animal toy) and it was sent across the room, hitting a wall and slowly rolling, touching Fluttershy's left hind leg, causing her to let out an "Eep!" and flew strait up and held on to the ceiling. I was not laughing, more along the lines of thinking,

'Now... how the HELL does she stay attached to the ceiling like that, if it was pinkie I would understand, but she is not even flapping her wings, you know what, things will happen here I wont get, so might as well go along with them'

As I saw Fluttershy descend towards the ground trying to hide her crimson face behind her mane, she slowly walked to the stove continuing to cook something. Feeling a bit guilty I spoke up.

"Shy... I was kidding, and you can be very brave, like that time you stood up to the dragon and saved all of your friends." I froze instantly, realizing what I just said.

'Crap, maybe she won't notice that I somehow knew that'

"Ya, I guess your right..."

She let out a content sigh and smiled at me before continuing her cooking, where I made a sigh of relief, then my blood ran cold as I heard a motherly voice say,

"Now how would you know about that little human?" 

I slowly turned in place, to see a huge alicorn looking at me and smiling, I just sat there mouth wide open in shock and disbelief. I know she looked cool, but being in front of the REAL thing, it was very intimidating. When I finally found my voice I managed to say something along the lines of this,

"Well, uh, I... uh.... you see-" 

She cut in laughing, "Its alright, I already know everything, we can get to that at another time." She smiled and laughed slightly.

'Fuckin' Trollestia is real, just my luck'

I turned back to Fluttershy who was on the ground, and after a moment I realized and yelled,

"OH SHIT"

And hit the floor, fast. I felt a weird feeling surround me for a moment as I began to float. Celestia was using her magic while still in a laughing fit, she then calmed down a bit and spoke up.

"You are not a pony, and not an official citizen, therefore do not have to bow.... yet."

I nodded and walked forward, sticking out my hand, she stuck out her hoof and we shook.

"My name is Chris James, but you can call me CJ." I said with a smile.

Celestia responded, "Alright, my name is Princess Celestia, just call me Tia, its what Luna calls me." 

I chucked while I thought to my self.

'Dayum, those Fics nailed that name'

She spoke up, "That they did CJ."

'Oh, hi Tia I can see you read minds too, this is gonna suck' 

"Meh" is all she has to say.

We both shared a laugh while Fluttershy had a very confused face on. I turned and mouthed the words, 'I'll tell you later' she nodded and went back to the kitchen.

"Oh, that reminds me, lunch is almost done." Said Fluttershy.

'Ah, good I'm really h- wait... lunch???'

Celestia spoke up, "Yes CJ, lunch, it is past 12 now, you slept quite a while." 

'Tia please stop reading my mind, it feels.... weird' 

"In time young one, but for now on to greater matters, please follow me." I walked over to her and she stood there as if scanning me, and spoke towards Fluttershy.

"Fluttershy, I need to borrow your friend, he wont be back for lunch, but I will get him something to eat along the way."

I heard Fluttershy respond as she walked out of the kitchen, "O-oh, OK Celestia..." 

She waved goodbye and flew back to the kitchen, I was kinda sad because the food smelled so good, but I could always get food here another day.

Celestia spoke up as we walked through town.

"Now, you should be fine around town, I told everypony about you, and that you will be staying with us for the time being, but it's up to you to make friends with them."

I nodded and she pointed at a familiar looking gingerbread house.

'Hm, pinkie is still a wild card but what the hell, I mean hay, I got to get used to the equestrian language' 

Celestia let out a small laugh

"Ya ya miss mind reader, laugh it up, but... that pinkie scares me... all those videos of cupca... I mean..."

Celestia gave me a quizzical look.

"Uh.... never mind that, I'll tell you later" 

She nodded and I let out a sigh of relief. I walked up to the door and slowly opened it, and saw it was pitch black.

'Hm, why does this setting seem so fami-.. Oh.Fuck.Me.'

"SURPRISE!"

I jumped up and flew to the ground holding my chest making sure my heart was beating, and still in the same place, before looking at all the guests at the party staring at me, giving questionable looks. A certain pink pony appears beside me seemingly out of nowhere.

"Awesome surprise huh? Were you surprised?? Were ya? Huh huh huh? I made us cake and cupcakes and-" 

I cut her off by covering her mouth with my hand.

"Pinkie, enough" 

She nodded and went off to the crowd who had dissipated from a group to pairs of 2-3 ponies talking, some mumbling something under their breath as I passed, but I just smiled and went on.

Then, someone bumped into me and something in my pocket started vibrating, I reached in and pulled out.. my I-pod? 

'Dear god how long has that been there'

I turned it on and began playing some music, dubstep to be exact. I sat down at a nearby table before getting a feeling of two pairs of eyes staring at me, but I noticed one right away, which was making it's way to me and sat next to me, it was Rainbow.

"Hey, I just wanted to say sorry for last night, I was kinda on edge, with you being a new creature and all, but if Celestia likes you, so do I." She said over the music.

We both smiled and shook our hooves/hands.

"No problem... call me CJ, I like it more than Chris."

She nodded and said, "Call me dash, and by the way, whats that in your ears?" 

I pulled out the earphone.

"It's an earphone, attached to my I-pod. Remember how I said Humans were a lot more technologically advanced than ponies?" 

She nodded so I continued, "Well, this here can hold thousands of songs, and these here," I pointed to the earphones, "Is where the music gets played from, want to hear some? I can show you some dubstep." 

She said Ok so I put on some dubstep, and she just sat there for a moment.

"Wow... that's awesome! That's neat how you can hold songs like that." 

I nodded and said, "Ya, but the battery is at half and if it dies I'm not sure I can charge it..." 

She looked around for a moment then looks back to me.

"After the party go to Twilight's, maybe she can do something." She said. 

She smiled one more time before walking away. I sat there for a moment longer.

'Mmk... I made friends with Fluttershy, and dash, now for the rest, then the town, but for now, lets enjoy a damn party'

After the party finished, I left the ginger bread house, followed by a bouncing pink pony.

"Wow! That was like, a super-terrific party because you were there and I was like 'Hey we made this party for you!' And you were all like, 'Wow thanks Pink-' "

I cut her off mid sentence saying, "Pinkie! Yes, it was fun, but I need some sleep, that party went on for a long time and it's already night out, and I forgot to ask the Princess about where I'll be staying...." Pinkie nodded and bounced off.

'I guess I'll go see Twilight, maybe she can help me with power problems'

As I walked towards the library that was actually quite close, I could still feel a pair of Golden yellow eyes watching me, I brushed off the feeling and continued to walk, before being tackled by a very happy looking pony with a smile so big it rivaled that of pinkies.
