It was now the next day and everyone had made it to the arena. The day before had ended so quickly and now it was time for the final. "It's that time all you Beyfans. It's time to kick off the final match of The Sword Flame Cup" said the announcer. The crowd cheered and the others took their seats.
But on the other side sat The Dazzlings but then Aria asked irritated "Why do we have to watch this?" But then Adagio said "If we're going to get our revenge we need to know what those two can do at full power"
Aria reluctantly sat down and then the announcer said "It's finally time. Now give our bladers a big welcome" and the crowd cheered.
With that, smoke came in front of the red door and then they opened. "In The Red Corner. It's the girl who burns away the opponents with her power and technique. It's The Scarlet Flame, Sunset Shimmer" the announcer said and the crowd cheered.
The others cheered her on and then the other doors opened. "And in the Blue Corner. That's the guy who always has a new trick with him. It's The Crimson Dragon, Robin Kings" said the announcer and the crowd cheered.
Amelia shouted "Come on Robin. Show who's king" and then Pinkie shouted "Go Robin" Rainbow looked at Pinkie in confusion and asked "What are you doing Pinkie?"
Pinkie looked at Rainbow and said "Robin is my friend too so I'm rooting for both of them" then she gave a big smile. Sunset and Robin went towards the stadium and the ref also went forward.
"The first to 3 points wins the final match. Now please check each other's Bey" said the ref and both held out each other's Bey and started checking the other's.
"Flare Phoenix. A clockwork spinning balance type. By unlocking or locking the little blades you can choose between attack and defense. But Drago has the power to overcome that" thought Robin.
"Crash Drago. A clockwork spinning attack type. Its attack power is no joke. Plus it has mobility that allows it to come at us from multiple angles. But we can get around any obstacle" thought Sunset.
"Retune the Beys please" said the ref and so the two did. "Sorry to say this but I'm the one who will win" Sunset said but then Robin replied "That will never happen. I will win"
"First battle" said the ref and both took their positions. Xander sat watching the two of them. "Okay you two. Give it everything you got and hold nothing back" he said and then the ref raised his hand and said "Ready, Set"
"3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and both Beys went in for an attack. "Both Beys dive straight down for an attack" the announcer said and then they collided. "First contact" said the announcer.
With that, Sunset shouted "Go for it. Flare Launch" and with that Phoenix ducked for several attacks but Drago was heading for the rim. "Do you see that? Phoenix does its signature Flare Launch but it is way off the mark" the announcer said.
Drago clanged against the rim and began speeding up, circling the stadium. "Do it Drago" Robin called and then Drago accelerated and then it did a little jump and dived towards Phoenix. Drago landed one takedown but quickly landed several times over and over again.
"What's that" Sunset said in surprise that the attacks were much faster than the other attacks Robin usually does. "Time to show everyone what you can do Drago. GO Ultra Crash Launch" Robin shouted and then he resonated with Drago and Drago's avatar came forward.
Drago continued to attack without stopping and the announcer said "Oh My. Drago's Crash Launch has gone into Hyper Drive. Where is all the energy coming from" Drago continued to attack and then Robin yelled "Okay, Now" and then Drago crashed into the Phoenix and sent it out of the stadium.
"Crash Drago with a Ring out finish, Point standings 1-0" said the ref and the crowd cheered. "Unbelievable. Robin managed to take the first game with ease" said the announcer. Sunset stood there for a moment that Robin had used such an attack.
The others looked in surprise and Amelia said "Great job Robin. Keep it up" Sunset picked up her Bey thinking "I wasn't expecting that much power already"
She looked at Robin and saw the determination in his eyes and thought "He really doesn't hold anything back. Then I'll do the same" With that the ref said "Second battle"
"If he attacks, I'll defend" she thought and put the Phoenix in defense mode. "Defense position. Just what I thought" thought Robin and then the ref said "Ready, Set"
"3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and this time Phoenix went against the center while Drago attacked. "Flare Guard" called out Sunset and Phoenix was surrounded by its fire and then Robin called out "Crash Launch"
Drago attacked several times but Phoenix blocked all the hits. "Oh my. Phoenix's powerful defense manages to take all of Drago's hits" the announcer said and the crowd cheered.
"Yeehaw. That's what I call defense" Applejack said cheering but then Twilight asked "But why" The others looked at her and she said "Why didn't Robin do the Ultra Crash Launch again?"
The others started to think about it and then Amelia said "He must want to save on power" The others looked at her confused and Amelia said "The acceleration Drago gets from the rim is powerful. But the downside is that it takes a lot of energy to use, so it can only be used once"
"Like a one time power boost in a video game" Rainbow said. But then Rarity pointed and said "Looks like he'll be using the boost now" and with that the others looked at the stadium.
Drago continued to attack but then it went towards the rim and started to accelerate. "But have you seen. Drago has put the gear into turbo" said the announcer and Drago circled quickly.
"Alright. Be ready for a Drago Dive" Sunset said but then Robin shouted "GO DRAGO" With that he resonated with Drago making it's avatar appear. Just then, Drago braked and changed direction straight towards Phoenix.
"What now. Drago is on a collision course with Phoenix" the announcer said and Sunset gasped. "What the" Twilight said and Amelia thought "He used the tip to change Drago's direction so it can attack with the same power it had built up" She smiled and said "He did it again"
Drago got closer to Phoenix and Robin shouted "This is it, Drago Breaker" and then his hands glowed crimson and then he swept down with his hands. Drago's blade glowed bright crimson and then it slammed into the Phoenix from above.
It was so strong that Phoenix was sent flying out of the stadium and the announcer said "Drago's new technique lands hard. Phoenix is sent flying" Phoenix flew out of the stadium and everyone in the crowd gasped. Phoenix flew to the ground and burst.
"A Burst Finish. It's over" the announcer said. Sunset stood in shock and Robin said "Yes" happily. "impressive. Robin has taken home the win in The Sword Flame Cup. It's an overwhelming win with a final score of 3-0" said the announcer but then he noticed something.
"Hold on. The referee hasn't made his call yet" the announcer said as the ref looked at Phoenix. After a while the ref raised his arm and said "Consulting replay"
"Okay. The ref will make a decision based on the instant replay," the announcer said. Everyone waited and watched the screen in anticipation. The footage showed Phoenix falling to the ground. It was close but Phoenix hit the ground and bounced up a bit before bursting.
Sunset let out a weak sigh of relief as Robin clenched his fist. "Crash Drago with a Ring out finish, Point standings 2-0" said the ref and the announcer said "Unbelievable. Sunset was saved at the last second. But now there is no more room for mistakes"
Twilight let out a sigh and said "That was too close" The others chimed in but then Amelia said "She was just lucky" Applejack turned to her and said "Hey now. I know you want Robin to win but you don't have to be like that"
"I didn't mean it in a negative way. But it's true" Amelia said and the others turned to face her. "Sunset survived the attacks because the little blades were still out"
Fighting with the Dazzlings Adagio said "If Sunset had pulled in the blades it would have been over" Aria looked at the stadium and said "As it stands that Robin is going to win"
Sunset picked up her Bey and put it together. With that she looked at Robin and said "Good thing we're going to 3 points. Otherwise we'd be done" Robin smiled and said "Yeah But now it's time to end this"
"Not if Phoenix and I get to say anything about it" Sunset said and then the ref said "Third battle" Both got ready and Sunset thought "Ultra Crash Launch, Drago Breaker, Drago Dive too. He has so many moves. What can I do?"
But then she looked at Phoenix and thought "That's it. As long as Phoenix and I give everything we have, we can win" With that she put Phoenix in attack mode again and the ref said "Ready, Set"
"3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and both Beys went in for an attack. "Crash Launch" Robin shouted as Sunset shouted "Flare Launch" and with that both Beys collided.
"He's not going for the Ultra Crash Launch" Rainbow pointed out and then Twilight said "If she can avoid the Drago Breaker she has a chance" But then Amelia said "Don't count Robin out yet" The others turned to her and said she "Robin can also use another move. The same one that took out Melody Siren"
This made the others think back to Robin's and Adagio's match. They remember the move that won Robin the match and how he called it the 'Drago Dive'.
"If Robin manages to land that attack I don't think Sunset can hold on" Amelia said and then the other got worried. But just then they noticed that Sunset's Bey started moving faster.
"Look. Phoenix is speeding up" Pinkie said and then Rarity said "Yes it is much faster than before" Phoenix and Drago attacked each other but with Phoenix's speed it started to gain the upper hand.
"Hold the phone. Phoenix manages to push Drago back" the announcer said and Sunset smiled. "Looks like this one is mine" she said but then Robin said "I wouldn't be so sure about that"
Drago continued to be pushed back and then it hit the rim and bolted from there. "But have you seen that. Drago is speeding up in Hyper drive again. Could this be the end" said the announcer and with that Drago accelerated.
"Time to end this. Drago" Robin called out and then he resonated with Drago causing its avatar to emerge. Drago continued to accelerate until Robin shouted "Now"
With that, Drago hit the wall and it spun upwards. "It's Time, Drago Dive" Robin called and Drago dived straight for Phoenix. "'Flare Whip" Sunset shouted and then the Phoenix blade glowed with its scarlet fire.
The two attacks collided and created sparks. After a while, both were pushed away but continued to spin. "someone pinch me. Amazingly, both Drago and Phoenix have survived." said the announcer.
"What" Robin said in shock. Phoenix moved against the wall and Drago began to approach. "Then we'll end it now" Robin said and Drago gets closer to Phoenix. "Looks like Drago won't let Phoenix get away" the announcer said and then the other got worried again. But then Phoenix rang the rim and got away.
"Talk about a quick getaway," the announcer said. Robin gasped as Sunset shouted "Go Phoenix" and then she resonated with her Bey so Phoenix's avatar appeared. Phoenix continued to accelerate while Drago dived towards the center and Robin shouted "Crash Breaker" But then Phoenix braked and changed direction towards Drago.
"Ultra Flare Whip" Sunset shouted and both Phoenix blades released their scarlet fire and then both Beys collided. After a few seconds Drago burst and Robin gasped.
"Flare Phoenix with a Burst Finish, Point standings 2-2" the announcer said and the crowd cheered loudly. "Unbelievable. Sunset has even the point. This is not over yet" said the announcer. Sunset smiled and shouted "Yeah" and then the others cheered.
"Awesome. I knew Sunset could recover" Rainbow said and Applejack rolled her eyes. "I didn't expect Sunset to come up with an attack like that in the middle of battle" Twilight said and the others nodded.
"Now that it's tied, the next match will decide the winner" Amelia said and the others looked intently towards the stadium. Robin looked at Sunset and thought "I didn't expect her to accelerate as well. Seems like Sunset won't go down easily"
"Fourth Battle" said the ref and the announcer said "Both have come a long way but they need to dig deep to be the winner." Robin focused and thought "The only way I can win now is to counter Sunset's Ultra Flare Whip. And I have just the move to do that" and with that Robin gave off a crimson energy.
Sunset focused and thought "I only have one chance. I have to use the Ultra Flare Whip to the fullest" and then she released a scarlet energy. "It's time Drago" Robin said and Sunset said "Let's do it Phoenix"
"Ready, Set" said the ref and raised his arm. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and both Beys went in for attackers. "Flare Launch" Sunset yelled and Robin yelled "Crash Launch" and so both Beys collided again and again.
They continued to collide with each other until it went up against the edge. "Do it Phoenix" Sunset called out and then Phoenix's avatar came forward. "Time for our Ultra Flare Whip" she shouted and then clanged Phoenix towards the rim and sped up.
"Oh My. Phoenix's speed is unbelievable. It's closing in on Drago" the announcer said but then Robin called out "Drago" and Drago's avarae appeared. With that it clanged towards the rim and got away from Phoenix.
"What" Sunset said and the announcer said "Drago goes into Hyper Drive" Just then Robin shouted "Drago Breaker" and then Drago came and hit Phoenix from behind. With that, they rushed around the stadium and attacked each other. "Unbelievable, So lightning fast. I didn't expect anything like this," said the announcer.
After a while the two Beys walked towards the center and Drago's Avatar swooped down with its tail giving off a glowing crimson flash. At the same time, the Phoenix avatar swept with its tail that burned scarlet red.
They collided so hard that sparks flew everywhere, a bright light woke the Beys and there was a strong gust of wind blowing everywhere. Both stared intensely and began to roar and then the light grew brighter.
It continued until both Beys ran out of the stadium and an explosion happened in the middle of the stadium. Everyone was blinded by the light but the ref was trying to see which Bey would land first. Just then, one Bey was heard to hit the ground with the other a few seconds after.
When the light disappeared, everyone stared in shock. Both because the two Beys were outside the stadium but also because the stadium itself had a huge crack in the center and small cracks on the walls.
"I can't believe this. None of the beys burst, but the stadium itself. The final was too explosive for the stadium to handle" said the announcer but then both Sunset and Robin looked at the ref waiting for an answer.
Everyone waited for an answer while the ref decided which blader had won. After a couple of breathless seconds the ref raised one arm and gave his decision.
"Flare Phoenix with a Ring out finish, Sunset Shimmer wins with a final score of 3-2" said the ref and everyone took a few seconds to take in the answer. After that, Sunset smiled and shouted "YES, I won" and the crowd exploded in cheers.
"It's decided. The champion of The Sword Flame Cup is none other than Sunset Shimmer" the announcer said and then the others except Amelia cheered. "She did it" Pinkie shouted and confetti came from behind her. "Robin gave it 120% but Sunset refused to take no for an answer" the announcer said as Robin stood there speechless.
After a while, he clenched his fists and started screaming in anger at the loss. Everyone looked at him and Sunset asked "Robin, are you okay?" With that Robin stopped and smiled. "Congratulations. You deserve it" he said but Sunset felt compelled to ask "Are you sure?" Robin picked up his Bey and walked up to her saying "I am. I gave it all I had. I have no regrets"
Sunset smiled as she noticed that Robin was definitely happy that she won. But then he said "But I expect you to win against Xander. So you better win" Sunset smiled and said "You can count on that"
With that they both smiled and shook hands. The audience began to applaud as Adagio stood up and walked away. The other two followed and Adagio thought "Someday I'll get payback from you both. Sunset and Robin"
"Where are they?" Rainbow asked but the other had no idea. Pinkie wanted to throw a "Congratulations on becoming the Champion of The Sword Flame Cup" Party but neither Sunset nor Robin were around after the finals.
The others started looking for them until it entered a room and saw the two of them presic when it shouted "Let it, Rip!" and then the two Beys flew into the stadium.
They circled around and then went towards each other. "Flare Whip" Sunset shouted but then Robin shouted "Crash Breaker" and they collided with each other. They continued to push but then it flew at their bladers.
They caught them and then Twilight asked "What are you two doing?" Sunset turned to her and said "Robin is helping me train for my match against Xander" Applejack turned her head and said "You two fought quite a bit just now. shouldn't you be resting?"
"The match between Sunset and Xander is tomorrow. If she doesn't get stronger now, she will have a much harder battle against Xander." said Robin but then a voice was heard behind them saying "About that"
They all turned to see that Xander had entered the room. "Xander Shakadera!" freaked everyone out except Robin. "Hey there" he said walking towards Sunset and Robin.
"What are you doing here Xander?" Robin asked and Xander replied "First I wanted to congratulate Sunset on her win" Sunset scratched the back of her head and said "Thank you"
With that Xander smiled and then said to Robin "You were really strong Robin. You almost had it there" Robin smiled and said "Thanks. I appreciate it. But was that all you wanted to say?"
"Well. The thing is, because of your expository battle, the stadium is going to take time to be fixed. I came here to say that me and Sunset's match will have to wait three more days" Xander said.
Sunset figured it would be three days before the match. But then Xander said "Hey Robin. How about a Match?" Everyone was shocked by Xander's question. "But I lose" Robin said but then Xander said "You really gave it your all so I want to see what you can do first hand"
Robin smiled and said "Okay. I'm on" They both took their positions and then Amelia said "I can be the ref" Twilight looked at her surprised and said "But I'm usually the ref" Amelia moved close to Twilight's ear and whispered "Now we have a chance to see what Xander can do. So you need to record this"
Twilight started and gave a small nod and then Amelia walked over to the stadium. "Alright then it's time. This is my Bey. Xiphoid Xcalius" Xander said, holding out his attack type Beyblade: Xiphoid Xcalius.
"Wow" everyone said and Rainbow asked "Does it have a sword?" Twilight thought "It must be like a blade when it attacks. All power focused to one point"
With that Xander took out his launcher and they gasped when they saw it. They looked like a sword holster and its winder was long and it looked like a sword.
"Then let's begin" Xander said and then Amelia said "Okay. First battle" Both got ready and Xander held his launcher to his left like he was going to draw a sword. With that Amelia said "Ready, Set"
"3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and Xander swung his launcher forward and when it was in front of him he pulled the winder forward like a sword and both Beys went off.
Xcalius flew around the stadium at really high speed and both went in for an attack. "Get Them, Crash Breaker" Robin shouted and Drago landed an attack. But then Xander shouted "Xiphoid Saber" and punched forward.
With that Xcalius hit Drago with it's sword and a blast of wind came at Robin and then Drago flew right past him and hit the wall and just as it came off the wall it burst.
Amelia was in shock but shook it off and said "Xiphoid Xcalius with a Ring out finish, Point standings 1-0" Everyone was in shock and Rainbow let out a "What power" and then Twilight said "I barely saw what happened"
"So this is the power of the legendary Xander Shakadera" Said Robin, still shocked. "What powerful Bey. Xcalius" Sunset said and Xander started laughing.
